Nice btw, Dead Inside making the OT, looking forward to that. Its solicited as a mini but I know the team has hopes for an ongoing if it does well so fingers crossed. My gut says a crime book would be better suited at Image whereas Rumble would have sat better at DH but we'll see I guess.

Just: So happy my library editions of don rosa and carl barks came from the states in perfect condition, was so worried they could get destroyed. Thx again to the member who mentioned these editions in this thread. So back to lurking ^_~

I was really into that whole annual, except for that last story, which felt like, unnecessarily mean? Wasn't a big fan of the whole
"Arkham is full of crazy asshole weirdos so it's okay if Batman takes pleasure in beating the shit out of them", which is a super shitty way to present mental illness, but also a super dated one that I thought everyone, including the writers of every other feature in the book, had moved past because it makes stories feel wrong and way less interesting. Great craft, loved the use of coloring, but, kinda not what anyone should want from a Batman story in tyool 2016?

Batman Annual was awesome. Except for that Dini/Adams story. Really phoned it in there, and I actually loved the story that this issue was supposedly an homage to.

I started reading more Shutter vol 1 after hours of overwatch last night, I'm completely put off the book now because a character said action figures are dolls. You go too far Keatinge.

Hopeless wrote one of the two or three best books Marvel put out in ANAD. They could do a lot worse than him for Jean. That said I'm gonna pass lol.

I was really hoping we'd get the Weapon X announcement instead. Now I have to wait at least one more day.

The Hopeless pick doesn't surprise me, he wrote X-Men Season One which was from a young Jean's POV and wasn't half bad.

By "we" he is referring to the creative team on the Jean solo, so I don't get what you mean.

(Also kind of annoyed that the Christmas box set turned out to be a "double-dip").

We also chose a premise that allows us to take advantage of the whole Marvel Universe. Jean will be bouncing all over the place, learning from and battling our favorite heroes and villains. Fans can expect lots of guest stars and crazy locales. And anyone who doesn’t think Boom Boom and Domino will make appearances hasn’t been paying attention.

I'm always a bit confused over the "hate" Hopeless gets. It feels like left over butt-hurt from Avengers Arena (which, by the way, was a great fucking book). He did a great job with X-men: Season One (great McKelvie art) and is killing it over on Spider-Woman.

His All-New X-men book...Honestly, I haven't read it, but that's mainly because Bagley is the artist equivalent of extra-mild salsa. Like, what the fuck is the point of having salsa then?!

You must have strongly misunderstood my post.

This simply isn't true since Rachel is right there on the Gold team. Hopeless mentions Rachel so he is aware of her existence. The premise of the book is flawed.
