Let It Die |OT| F2P roguelike Dark Souls with a skateboarding skeleton

Wow the few floors after the second boss are brutal

I've burned through like 5 death metals tonight on revives lol. Whoops

Poison clouds, mines, new enemies, and now Jackals. Seems like eating the thing in the poison is good though? Like risk/reward

I went through 3 death metals cuz I decided I needed to start defending my base and only leveled on character to 25. So I switched to a level 1 character to continue climbing. Was feeling confident cuz I took out some level 20's with it. But then I ran into groups and got pummeled.

This must be what it was like when Demon's Souls came out, no wiki to look at, just the community trying to piece things together.

Beat the Floor 10 boss, but it was a bit cheesy. I ate 3 grilled toughshrooms before triggering the cutscene and the timers stack on them. So 50% defense buff at the least for 2 minutes helped a lot. Just threw a doomshroom and shot him to death after that. I still think the arena is super fucking small, the drill projectile is hard to dodge reliably, and it's easy to get knocked into the electricity. Whatevs though, beat it.

BLUEPRINT FOR AN ASSAULT RIFLE. FUCKKKKKKK SONNNNNNNNNNN.

Also really cool that there actually is items to return you to the safe room or the tents to suspend your journey. Not sure why they only introduce them now though. I was wondering what the catch was and I can see. Holy fuck money.

You mean the snails? You should be able to crouch, walk into the mist, and eat them before you get poisoned. I'm able to eat them 99% of the time with no poison damage as long as I'm quick.

Cheers, too bad arcade boy couldn't give me a tip like that lol

I have one death metal left, elevator at 9F. The cold hard wall of free to play cometh (I embrace it)

I got a 3 star flaming rod blueprint from my gold chest. Need 620hp for it. Looks pretty badass but my hp aren't even close to that to use yet.

It's only 14$ for 30 death medals anyway, which I have absolutely no problem paying for because I feel like the game is worth the full 60$ anyway.

God, the second area is unforgiving.

And I suggest not getting a STR DEX character. They have no health so my only 2 star for a while could easily die even on the first couple of floors

Completed the quest to kill all enemies on Wanoki with the Pickaxe.

2 great things I confirmed for myself.

A hater killing an enemy doesn't seem to discredit your quest as I found one enemy dead later in the level due to a hater.

You only need to finish the enemy with the weapon. I had 3 pickaxes to help me clear the level and was afraid of durability. I punched guys twice or got them low enough to finish them off with a pickaxe. It popped on the final enemy just fine.

Good that I know this for sure now.

Thanks for confirming.
I was doing the 1F hammer only/all enemies/no armour quests, but they didn't pop and I thought it might have been because the enemies sometimes killed each other.

It seems a bit inconsistent, but I'll give it another shot.

Apparently the Jackals only show up if you take too long on a floor? (Based on the hint I recieved). Great, just the thing I need in the back of my head as I try to slowly advance through levels.

Yeah that is most likely how I encountered my first one.

I was looking for the door (before I realized it had an alternate route that was locked) and everything went to shit real quick.

The neat thing about the assault rifle is that if you get a few levels into the mastery (around 5 or so levels), you get full auto, so you can tap out bullets and try to land headshots. It also is much safer compared to burst fire. It basically is also important to leash enemies, a lot of assholes in the second area like to freaking group up. Blocking does severly reduce the damage but if you have some tear gas shrooms, you basically get a full clip on someone.

Also Jin-Die can go die in a dumpster fire. Her second fight I basically entered with a lot of mats and not a lot of weapons/items to fight her. Had to use some death metals and copious amounts of drop kicking, since I really did not want to lose blueprints/mats.

For those of you that haven't reached floor 10 yet. If you want to clean up the lower floors, make sure you do it before you beat the boss. Once you get your first rank 2 dude you open the door for Haters up to level 50 to show up everywhere.

Wish i knew this earlier.
I just finished 10F boss, tho surprisingly easier than I was expecting, even after accidentally poisoning myself. Level 20 Hammer mastery is the shit.

Holy shit the 11F and up are scary. Sniper Rifles, Shotguns, and everything. I brought along a level 1 Collector and a sniper rifle does 250~ damage so instakills. Shit's super fun though. The tension ramped up a fucking great deal and it's awesome. I understand why the magnum has such a pitiful fucking range too after using the sniper rifle. Shit's so good.

Although she died and costs 17000 to get back. Yikes.

I'm not sure why the fuck my lifeshrooms don't seem to work either? I swear I ate it beforehand, but I didn't revive on the spot after being OHKO'd by a sniper rifle. I didn't leave my outing either to return to the main floor or anything if that resets it.

Yeah, I read that hint and noticed it happening in levels I took a little long in. It's definitely something that worries me in the back of my head when I'm exploring new floors. I'm finding all this cool shit in 11F+ and I want to explore everything except Jackal timer scares me.
what it miss, is option to repair weapons?

jackals are tough enemies?

how to steal fighters to lock them into my toilet room?
-Repairing Weapons isn't really needed. You're meant to go through them quick and just make the weapons you want to stick around a while since those come with full durability.
-Jackals are level 200 and meant to kick your shit in, yeah.
-Not sure. I can't tell if it's random or not when a fighter gets knocked out and you're allowed to pick them up to take to your train. Just make sure to break their shit to a good percentage and then steal someone if you can.

Are headshots a thing? I've tried for them with the magnum, but haven't noticed any greater damage or if crits happen more with headshots.

I tested against some mks with the sniper and assault rifle, it seems to work. Though thinking about it, I might need to check again and make sure I just wasn't proccing a crit when I was doing it on the head. Try testing with the sniper or assault rifle, they are more precise than the magnum, since that thing seems to even miss when I shoot center of mass at times.

Also I just used the Crossbow Finisher against an enemy near a wall. Her head was on the bolt.

I DIDN'T THROW ANYTHING ON THIS QUEST AND IT DIDN'T POP. WHY. Unless it means projectiles or even simply eating or anything I don't know.

It is possible that haters or other things somewhat outside your control prevent you from completing, I had to do a no dodging quest 7 times to get it to go right.

Just wondering about expeditions... I'm at the start of the game, just cleared 2 1/2 floors and haven't fought a boss yet. I was going to send one of my fighters on an expedition (got some R&D gear on them) but I first need to choose the amount of time they'll be gone. Just wondering, if I close the game while they're gone, do they die? Sorry if this has been asked already!

I'm running into a bit of a wall at level 20+ I need to upgrade more guys to protect my base, and I know I'll be at Rank 4 soon (Or I think I will) The problem is it's starting to take so many resources, and every floor including level 1 has level 70+ haters fully geared so leveling new characters is absolutely miserable. If you farm coins and stuff to be able to recover your guys if they die you just constantly have people raiding you because you have a high value. It's rough. Any suggestions?

Farm Coen to level up newbies, quick elevator ride. The game needs re-balancing on hater spawns, just run or stealth suplex + face stomp. Raids seem to subside after a while, or it did for me. Hopefully I don't log in tomorrow with a report of 15 looters.

-Is there a way to find people with more resources in tdm? Couple days ago I there plenty now I only see sub 1000.

-Any way to make the music random? Every time I'm in the lobby it starts at the #1 song. Getting repetitive.

-if I leave items/gear on the lobby ground when changing characters will it still be there?

-if I set an old character to defend my lobby will their gear break or need to be replaced?

Protip! More than one Jackal can spawn in a stage! If you take too long even more Jackals will spawn one after the other. A Jackal spawned and I stealth followed it for 30 seconds or so. I accidentally triggered him and watched his pattern. He had a melee weapon that looked like a giant Bioshock little sister needle. He teleport as Jackals are known to do when they need to get near the enemy. I used that chance to run to the exit he was blocking and accidentally dropkicked the escalator. I was scared for my life since and tapped X. Thankfully I made it down the escalator, but he still got an attack animation off while I was invinicible. Another Jackal siren rang and the girl spawned near the exit too. A lil scary.

Meijin does give a tip to aim for the head with the sniper rifle as well. Not quite sure since I've not hit many headshots with the sniper rifle yet.

I know in my instance I was fine, but yeah, I understand it's been fucked for some people. By no case is my statement completely definitive, but that situation it worked at least.

-As far as I see, it gives you 50 randoms to raid, but you can quit out and go back in to mix that up if you're unhappy with the amount of resources they're giving. Yotsuyama AI bots are a thing that usually have more resources to give if you see any of those with that flag.
-Second Station seems to be random orders from what I'm hearing in my ears.
-No idea, but you should just use the storage or use some characters as packrats to carry 20+ more of your items if you're low on space.
-It degrades over time and will eventually break.

Man earlier today I was making a sandwich in the kitchen while my character was standing in the corner of an area. I hear a siren and think nothing of it, figure it's my base getting invaded or something, sit down at the table and watch my character get one shotted by a Jackal from the dining room. Yeah, you guys weren't kidding about the timer.

I have not seen a yostuyama bot room to raid since after I passed floor 10. It's like they don't exist. Doesn't matter how often I quit and retry.

Man, parrying is good.

Can you not reload Sniper Rifles and Assault Rifles?

Assault Rifle is pretty alright. Butterfly Knife is fucking insane though. The speed and damage of it is fucking amazing. A hater had two equipped and killed me and my resurrection with 2 hits of 400~ each. Fucking insanity. Also just took out a level 50 hater hunter sent by another player with it. 3 hits for half of it's health. Fucking amazingggggg.

Yeah, you might be right. I just only finished Floor 10 tonight and I've been doing a few raids and not been seeing them. They might just be gone now. Maybe they're just meant for low level players to take on some low level challenges or get some shit quick. Too bad considering practically everyone only has 500ish. I'm lucky if I can find someone with more than 2000 right now.

Game introduces the mechanic later. It's the computer to the southwest if you're facing forward on the Teleporter to the arcade. There should be a floating message when you can use it.

Yup, you can steal their non-premium currencies. Great way to get SPLithium, which you need to upgrade weapons, bank, freezer and that stuff.

Jesus christ !

Currently watching a guy right now, rank 5 level 96
He's trying to see if he can do a bit of damage to a jackal
He's using invincible mushroom and crit chance/damage 125% and he only managed to do 1% of his health

The hell

Umm my guy just randomly lost a bunch of mastery levels. like 4 on my fists to 16 from 20 etc. Like 5 other weps too? Wtf.

I've run it 3 times as the quest won't finish. Only have health and weapons on me and I kill everything including the frogs wtf?

How's the world/level design? Samey or a good bit of variety? Any outdoors areas? Do you have a sort of architectural sense of place in the world or do the levels feel very randomized without apparent structure?

I've done the no armor one twice and and the dodging one once (doubled them up once I noticed it) and it didn't work. They seem to be broken.

You can shoot the poison cloud snails from a distance to kill them safely.

Are headshots a thing? I've tried for them with the magnum, but haven't noticed any greater damage or if crits happen more with headshots.

The special attack for i believe the sniper rifle is "a guaranteed headshot." I popped a level 70 hater for 2400 damage with it once.

When they say no armour they mean no weapons too. I stripped myself from everything and cleared both floors and it popped.

They are not broken, it's not really written but you need to clear the two floor (the one above it), not just imokawa-cho.

It was definitely bugged. I did it over and over and it wouldn't pop early on. Did a hammer only quest on a completely different floor later and all three popped.

So I thought the game was under maintenance since last night, but it turns out it was a bug specific to me. I've been unable to play since last night and have been receiving ERROR CODE: ERR-0-002. Be wary of capturing other fighters because I'm certain that's what triggered the error. I just sent a ticket to GungHo support and awaiting their response.

I did not know that the minibosses also respawn when you take an elevator back to the waiting room. Had to fight a dude twice on the 3rd floor :(

This game really wants you to progress forward and does not want you to get attached to a fighter.
