Final Fantasy XV |OT2| For Jared!

Listened to the FFXV in the latest Waypoint Podcast and do so many people have a problem with the hunts? I can see going for multiple hunts though in some regions the objectives are on the same spot. One hunt per region would be alright. Maybe structure it like in the Witcher 3.

Talking about Witcher 3, another point talked about were universal hunts. If I got that right then many people have a gripe that not every tipster gives every hunt available in the game which I don't understand being a problem. Never heard the complaint about Witcher 3 where Witcher contracts are only available in their respective region. I mean, why would someone ask in Lestallum if there are monsters to be slain in Hammerhead?

Nah, its shorter but you cant use any items

Yep, was a pain in the ass. Its those damn cats that are the worst

You're joking right?... Any tips for doing it?

I just got to the
master tonberry section of the Steyliff sealed dungeon. Please tell me I'm close. And please tell me I don't have to fight more than one of those at a time.

I used to love tonberries. Not anymore.

I just listened to that. Yea, I think only being able to hold one hunt at the time is a bigger issue than who gives it to you.

I do wish someone in your party was a note taker though, like it would be nice if you could at least document which restaurant has which hunts available from your main menu.

Also we live in a world where everyone has smartphones and I assume the internet? idk. There should be a inworld solution :p

Are hunts the main money makers in the game? Pretty lame the side quests give exp but no gil, while hunts are the opposite.

I was fighting in a dungeon when I used one of Prompto's abilities.

Noctis said "Ignis! ...I mean, Prompto!," to which Prompto said "wait, what?"

It was awesome.

I really wish they had an optional level scaler for the main scenario. They went through so much effort to detail and create move-sets for these bosses and I just completely destroy them with no effort. It's a real shame.

I am definitely enjoying the game, warts and all. Most of my gripes, aside from the oft-mentioned story beats, involve going to the same location over and over again for hunts. I wish I could just mass-accept them, do them, and mass turn them in. Sometimes the game feels like Loading Screen Simulator 2017, from all the fast-travel.

The main quest is weirdly low leveled for how much content they want you to do. I was around 65 after doing some optional stuff before the end and the last bosses went down in seconds. Didn't even get to the good parts of their themes.

What does easy mode do exactly? Tempted to turn it on to get out of this dungeon faster.

You can't die. Carbuncle will revive you. I'm not sure if it's every time and I'm sure there are some places it's disabled though.

This is something that I feel like they can patch it in the game. Hopefully the December update, which sounds like it is pretty major, fixes this issue.

XD

I hate tonberries for the same reason

How many camps have you passed so far? There are a total of 9 camps

In costlemark, I created a bunch of healcast spells to heal myself. 1 fire(or whatever) + 1 megapotion = back to full health for noct

Seems kinda arbitrary where you can manually save.

So what happens when you completely die like in a dungeon, do you have to redo the whole thing?

The pacing throughout the game, not just in story beats but in level design and such, is just perplexing. I think if they were going to stick to the same sort of layout of gameplay and story they should have just made everything after
you take the boat to Altissa
scale with whatever level you're actually at.

Personally I think the whole game needed to be rearranged. Everything feels strange, like they couldn't work on any story after Tabata came on and they had a separate team just going to town on the open world portion of the game instead. The choices they made on where to put their resources just don't make any damned sense to me.

I think I've passed 7 or 8 camps? Fuck.. 9.. Lol. And that's a good tip about the healcast for the castle. Thanks :)

More and more of my friends are postomg screencaptures from Prompto's camera into Facebook and Twitter.. guess the game is really taking off in the US. They aren't people I'd think would be into the series.

Ha, I just had that happen to me today. I thought I'd actually glitched out something with the tech commands.

Do the quests for Vyv in Lestallum. You'll be paid.

And since everyone is busy playing King's Knight no one has time for interconnectivity.

Normally I don't care about graphics, but does Luna look weird in some cutscenes? It feels like she never looks the same.

I thought this too. Plus she looks younger/different than she does in Kingsglaive. She seems like such a poorly thought out character.

I think I liked her more in the movie than in the game. It was weird how different they were.

whos Vyv. i'm still early on in ch3 tho. Just got the weapon in the waterfall dungeon.

Loves Robotech S1
i completely ruined the aranaea fight for myself by massively overleveling in ch3. :(
i ended up, almost unintentionally, cashing in a bunch sidequests in lestallum while affected by the 50% exp gain meal from the chocobo post, then sleeping at the hotel granting 1.5x exp shooting myself right up to level 40

then before the fight i ate something that gave me atk+500 and basically one-shot her

they really need to space out the sidequests over the course of the game instead of letting you do so many at once :p

I have a strange dislike of her design (face, not clothes) I don't like her mouth. It annoys me for some reason. So to me she always looks weird.

Vyv should be standing right under the parking spot in Lestallum for you now. He looks like the fat guy from Lost and wears a FFVII-Meteor shirt. He wants you to do a bunch of photos and gives you a good amount of gil for that.

I am trying to get 999 AP to get the limit break for my guys. Do you think it will help with the Admonstise fight? Or should I buy other things and fight him anyways?

I already beat the game and have done almost all the quests

How necessary is it to do the sidequests. I wanted to do them as they come but most of them are so boring and traveling to and from them takes such a long time. Hunts are fine.
They really should've put the Regalia Type-F in the main game. Even if it was just a non-canon/gameplay only kinda thing.

Sorry for the critics as I really like the game but after finishing Chapter 9 it really feels like Square ran out of time and decided to tell some story key elements through DLC. Or they cut them on purpose for the Season Pass.

The Motorcycle That Wouldn't Slow Down
i'm about at chapter 13 so almost finished. i think it's from having a bad experience not having enough AP for either FF13 or FF10 and it drove me crazy if i used my AP and couldn't take my picks back and get the things i wanted later on.
so i thought just wait and see how far i can go without using it and once i accumulate enough AP i'm going to spend it all at once. maybe once the december update hits.

I commend your persistence. I do an almost-kinda-similar thing in Dragon Quest games where I save all the stat-boosting seeds until the final battles.

Sealed Dungeon quest question...

Where do I go to get the key? I'm in the postgame now, faffing around before doing Adamantoise, and I still have no idea where to go to get the keys to the secret dungeons.

Yeah Luna is a dud overall, but Aranea on the other hand.....

She's totally rad and her name is so pretty. It's honestly like the only FF name I would ever consider for a real life kid.

The Vyv quests are WELL worth your time. I went from like zero gil to like 80,000 doing them. They're so simple, too. Plus, I enjoy his character. Great voice acting.

First
finish all normal dungeons
, then
go to Meldacio Hunter HQ
and speak to
Ezma
.

I just beat the story last night, what are some awesome things I should do now that I'm in 'post-game'? I've stayed clear of pretty much any/all media on this game so unsure of what the coolest things are available.

Finish the following dungeons:
Crestholm Channels, Daurell Caverns, Costlemark Tower and Balouve Mines
. After that, go to
Hunter HQ slightly to the east of Vesperpool
and talk to
Ezma
.

There was an official Yusuke Naora artwork for the game featuring all the characters. I loved it and thought to make avatars out of it. Here are them. Feel free to use the one you desire.
