Nintendo Switch Joy-Con $80, Pro Controller $70

The prices alone are stupid.

The combination of no games to show for and those prices is ... amazing. No really. It's the big reveal hyperbole yabba dabba do, but they are trying to dethrone the E.T. video game here.

Writing a dinosaur space opera symphony
accelerometers, gyroscopes, NFC, IR camera, HD rumble, rechargable batteries....sounds about right.

Yeah, this is the issue. There is a lot of hardware crammed into those little things.

Wireless first party game pads are already $60 bucks these days. An additional $20 because of two units sounds about right.

They should have crammed more tech that will be barely used into the controllers to get them to an even hundred bucks.

Occasionally, if you browse gaming forums long enough you'll hear "Why don't console controllers have force feedback) This is why.

This almost seems like a PSVita memory card type situation. Although, it's Nintendo so it won't be that bad.

It comes bundled with 2 Joycon though....

Two joycons, one grip. Essentially it comes with one controller.

So Switch + Pro Control + Dock + Zelda is $520 before tax?.... Even no dock is still $430 Seems pretty expensive.

What happened to Nintendo...

$70 for a "pro" controller is not ok.

I think they just realized their whole base is raging fanboys so why not milk them for all their worth since the rest of gamers don't give a fuck about us.

Those prices are out of their damn mind.

And that Zelda was so fucking incredible I'l still probably buy a Switch and Pro controller Day 1

I mean, it's effectively like buying two more wii remotes.

I gotta say, I'll probably never buy another controller. If you want to play multiplayer, buy your own Switch - treat it like 3DS multiplayer.

$80 is the price of two wiimotes (wall, back in the day)...joycons are basically the same, just with more functionality. That price doesn't surprise me.

$70 is way too much for Pro, I'll give you that.
