This is what they really should've clarified. In fact, there was a LOT that they should have clarified. I mean I'm not going to say this was like the XO reveal where they'll have to do some 180s, but I do believe they'll need to release some proper statements that clarify the confusion.
For what it's worth, Nintendo's stock is almost 6% down. Hope the pre-order figures look good.

Two-year old consoles with two years worth of back catalogues, huge online communities, established third-party support, proven reliability, and cross-platform capabilities. Pricing the base Switch console at £80 higher is practically suicidal.

Longer thoughts now that I'm on my laptop.
Shin Megami Tensei is the biggest draw for me right now. I got up and screamed when Atlus' name was revealed. If it's Shin Megami Tensei V, then there's no doubt that I'm buying a Switch unless it happens to also come to the Playstation 4. If it's not SMTV and rather a spin-off game, then my hype will pretty much be completely deflated. In fact, all the JRPGs shown got me pumped. Xenoblade (Chronicles) 2, Project: Octopath Traveler and even I Am Setsuna. Hopefully the Switch can compliment the Playstation 4 this generation for RPG experiences.
I haven't be excited for a Mario game in a long time, but Super Mario Odyssey got me there. Serious Super Mario 64 and Sunshine vibes. Maybe they can go Sonic '06 and have Mario kiss a real woman.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild looks beautiful. Like Mario, I haven't been excited for a Zelda game in a long time. I'm talking about Wind Waker here. The problem is that it's also coming to the Wii U. And I own a Wii U. As much as I'd love to play this on the Switch, there's no reason for me to spend $300 on a new console.
I'm 'eh' on everything else. Arms, 1,2 Switch... Not interested. I couldn't have rolled my eyes harder during 1, 2 Switch. Like, damn. What a poor way to open up your showcase of the Switch. Splatoon 2 is Splatoon, which is fine. And, well, I don't really give a shit about EA FIFA.
$300, pay to play online (with only ONE game a month, and it goes away after that month from what I hear), and just no interesting launch game outside of Breath of the Wild? I don't know, guys. I remember Atlus showing off Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem near the very beginning of the Wii U launch and it took a handful of years to come out. I'm holding off on this for now, but I have hope and I'll be keeping my eye very close on this. I think the leaks hurt a lot of hardcore gamers like me that were hoping for stuff like Beyond Good and Evil 2.

Looks great! I'm a little skeptical for how much they're gonna charge for online and how good the service will be, but I liked the look of it. Hoping to be sold on getting this day one was a bit unrealistic for me in hindsight, and I'm fine that I'm not - I haven't been sold on a console day one in years. No More Heroes and a proper console SMT, as well as a gorgeous looking Mario game all in the future looks great. I think the presentation could've been a lot better, but what's for sale is still quite promising.

I am absolutely satisfied with what was shown today. The only downside is the price but the hardware seems dope (new motion sensor technology in particular), the initial games look promising and I get the feeling that japan is seekng this as a 3DS successor (see SMT coming out for example or SE backing it out of the gate).
Kinda sad that the rumors about darksouls and rabbids RPG were not confirmed but man those wee just rumors

After the WiiU drought I thought that they would come with an avalanche to Switch.

That's what I'll be doing, and will keep a cool $300 in my wallet. The Switch launch lineup is terrible, especially when its only system seller is easily available on a console I already own.

I never understand the hype for a launch line up. The thing is...one year later, everyone is just remembering one or two games of it. Who remembers the Wii launch games? Wii Sports, Zelda and...ahm...yeah...there were some games nobody bought.
We need a lot of games but over the year and not just at launch.
I mean. What was the line up of the Xbox one?! I dont even remember!! People focus to much on it.
And i think a lot of publisher said "nope, we won't compete with Zelda at launch. Should we sell only 200 copies?"
For me that is a big problem...launching with such an juggernaut like Zelda it is hard for the competition to get any attention. :/

Someone said they were asking for the whole amount up front, but I'm not sure. Amazon charges when it ships and GameStop charges $50 I think.
