I regret preordering the grey one, the blue and red version looks so much nicer.
Does anyone know if you can use the Switch as a tablet only (via touch) without the Joy-Cons attached / paired? Seems like it would be less bulky if some games supported that.
I have yet to find this detailed anywhere.
I'm just gonna buy the blue and red set seperately, I'm gonna need more joycons anyhowhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pArXLkXTXu8

No sure where you ordered from but gamestop told me to call back to switch to the neon set once they figured out the error with their system not ringing it up.
Giant Bomb guys tried touching the screens and nothing reacted.Does anyone know if you can use the Switch as a tablet only (via touch) without the Joy-Cons attached / paired? Seems like it would be less bulky if some games supported that.

I still have one question that I can not seem to find the answer to, is the joycon grip that comes bundled with the console the charging grip?

No it's the comfort grip.
Yep but also is so distracting while playing mobile , grey one is better to focus on screen
Didn't they say something like there's a touch-screen but they are not comitted to it or something? I suppose it has to do that it'd force games to not be playable on TV mode. Like there should be an alternative.

That charging grip does not have a battery20 hours battery life per joycon. It must be pretty high in that charger/controller/holder thing then, 20 hours of self-powered battery per side plus the big battery in the middle. Potentially Wii U Pro controller range?
so are the triggers analog?
Almost all reports are that they are digital.so are the triggers analog?
shitpostIts Nintendo of course not.
source to reports? Some are saying pro controller has analogue triggers apparently.Almost all reports are that they are digital.

Yes.Haw are the joy cons charged? When they're connected to the system while it's charging?

ImpressionS from Giant Bomb and other hands on reports. Not saying they are right, but they talk about the feel of them being clicky.source to reports? Some are saying pro controller has analogue triggers apparently.
Charge Grip needs to be plugged in to charge as it doesn't have a battery.Yes, or with the (extra cost) "charge grip". The grip that comes with the system can't be used to charge the joy-cons.
I'm sure a 3rd party will come out with a charging accessory though.
I edited my post but yeah I saw some pictures. They do look clicky =/ImpressionS from Giant Bomb and other hands on reports. Not saying they are right, but they talk about the feel of them being clicky.

So, I don't see any reason why the USB-C cable plugged directly into the Switch shouldn't have the same performance boost as being plugged into the dock. Can anyone confirm this? I'm planning on playing in handheld mode 90% of the time, so that'd be pretty great.
I was skeptical, but seeing all the hands on impressions, I'm actually excited now. Lots of potential here.Well designed console. Will buy but not at $300.
