Because nothing is guaranteed. Look at Batman v Superman. How could that go wrong?
And cult classic = 100% guaranteed critical acclaim? Come on now.
Your really looking at Batman Vs DC? We all knew from the beginning that DC's handling of their film universe was going to be shitty after their not subtle obsession with wanting to copy Marvel. Its not as if we didn't see it. And to be fair, i didn't even think BvS(or Suicide Squad for that matter) were as bad as people said to begin with.
But again, back on topic, Phantom dust was a game that, for the people who played it, really got them interested in the aspects of the game and the potential was there for a bigger splash had MS pushed a bit more.
This is their second chance and i doubt they are going to leave it be again, especially after taking the time and effort to resurrect it in the first place out of all the other IP's they are sitting on. If they market this to Xbox users, its gonna catch on like fire.
So he didn't answer the question, the question was if there are new IP's coming and Spencers answer was that there will be new experiences with different IP's. Not that i'm surprised really.
TBF, they dont really need new IP's this year to continue at their current pace...you dont have to have new games all the time.
Scalebound was a blow, but not that big of one considering its just one game. Considering the XB1 exclusives already listed as well as all the western multiplats coming this year, its hard to see any major droughts, especially not on the level of Switch anyway.
