Switch version for me!
The difference is the point from where the screenshot is taken.Eh - look in the third comparison, the tree in the middle of the screen past the lake is missing on the Wii U. There's definitely a difference.
As beautiful as it looks, I still would have vastly preferred a more realistic look like the initial Wii U tech demo.

Link is farther from the tree on wiiu than on switch.
I think WW cemented the idea that I will always rather have a cell shaded Zelda game over a more realistic look. It just works for me.

People were mocking it when it was first shown at the Wii U reveal lolThat already looks dated. The art style they have now looks amazing and will be much kinder over the years.
But holy shit the draw distance details are way different than I though they would be. I would take 900p and those visuals vs 1080p and the Wiiu draw distances any day. I thought they were going to be almost the exact same more or less besides resolution.

A.K.a big as shitthe area of the map within the sky blue circle is the area of the E3 demo. You can kinda guess the size of the entire rest of the map from that.
I remember when I was impressed when that was revealed. Now it doesn't even remotely look impressive. As beautiful as it looks, I still would have vastly preferred a more realistic look like the initial Wii U tech demo.

Are they ever gonna show the dungeons? I just want to see something simple, like a compass room.
I don't really care about the overworld cause I have a million sandbox games to goof around in. Just care about dungeons/shrines.

Wii U version looks fantastic. Switch maybe a little better but wonderful news if framerate performance is close for those grabbing it on Wii U.
Can't wait to play this on a HANDHELD!
Art style & direction = great. Graphics = pretty rough.
I choose to interpret this as confirmation of fishing!
Anyone else annoyed that Nintendo's reusing the names of towns/areas like Eldin, Faron, and Lanryu? We've got like 3 games already with those places. What the hell?

Skyward sword did that for me. That game mixed the styles just right. Still salty we didn't get Skyward Link in Smash 4.
I actually like the consistency and is named after the Goddess'. Why not complain about Lake Hylia, Death Mountain, etc?Anyone else annoyed that Nintendo's reusing the names of towns/areas like Eldin, Faron, and Lanryu? We've got like 3 games already with those places. What the hell?

Totally different, as those are Zelda staples.
Though, I will say that Nintendo should start changing the names for those locales too.

So the different regions that Hyrule is broken into are:
1. Central Hyrule
2. Eldin
3. Faron
4. Ninayru
5. Hebra
6. Necluda
7. Altrum
I find it odd the lower left corner doesn't have a region affiliation though. I wonder if each region has a corresponding town/civilization. Central Hyrule could have a similar approach as castle town, Eldin has a Goron civilization, Faron has the Koroks and the Deku Tree, Ninayru has a Zora civilization, Hebra has Bird civilization, Necluda has Gerudo civilization, and Altrum has Kakariko village.
I think it's fair to say that those aren't the names of every area, considering the desert (in which the Gerudo town is located) in the SE is largely obscured. The question remains as to where the farming village is situated, it could be in Faron or on the east side of the Central Hyrule river.

Literally since Zelda 2 dude. They're not going anywhere.Anyone else annoyed that Nintendo's reusing the names of towns/areas like Eldin, Faron, and Lanryu? We've got like 3 games already with those places. What the hell?
