Anti-Trump Marches And Rallies Planned For April 15

Activists are hoping to keep the momentum alive after a weekend of protest marches and rallies aimed at President Donald Trump.

While last weekend’s marches focused on women’s rights, activists on social media are hoping to use a rally on April 15 to pressure the president into releasing his tax returns.

During the campaign, Trump repeatedly promised to release his returns. However, White House senior adviser Kellyanne Conway said on Sunday that he no longer planned to do so because “people don’t care.”

That inspired the calls for a protest on April 15, which would normally be tax day, but because it falls on a Saturday ― and since Emancipation Day follows ― taxes will actually be due on April 18 this year.

Perfect. I hope the momentum stays strong and not fall off a cliff like I currently fear. Regardless, if a march/rally is close to Tampa, I'll participate in it. Gotta make up for missing the Women's March!

You don't care, Kellyanne. Had you cared, you had been transparent, but not releasing them says all about what is to say about Donald Trump. He does not need to show them, because we already know what's in there.

He's a crook and a paid puppett, and you can't prove otherwise.

These protests need to remind people to vote. Most of the speakers don't seem to do that and only focus on the issues.

I don't mean to alarm you but you have dogs on your face
You need a "VOTE MIDTERMS" rally.

This.

Get nation-wide rallies going the weekend before the midterm elections. I worry that this momentum will peter out too soon. Or maybe not if Trump and the GOP keep up their bathshit cunty evil shit.

I'm worried it's too far away though. They need to keep the momentum rolling, once a month.

(Or preferably just occupy)

I sort of think we should just start continued monthly (or every other month to allow more organizing time) nationwide protests for him to resign.

There will be protests around mid-terms that are focused entirely around mobilizing the anti-Trump voter base.
Probably protests from the other side as well.
Don't fret about that.

Once a quarter/season seems like a good schedule. Once in winter, once in Spring, once in Summer, once in Fall right before elections. That way you dodge protest fatigue but keep it relatively fresh in people's minds just how hated the current administration is.

Good themes are also important, as it is equally important to articulate *why* Trump is bad and not that he's merely bad.

Hope we can keep up the momentum. This last protest brought more hope and excitement about our country than anything else in a while, let's do this.
