Lol there was a sale of cpo moto z play on best buy for about $205. Sold out quickly lol.

Damn that's a great price for a great phone, even pre-owned.

I see Moto Z Plays here in my country pretty much every day. They've become quite popular since AT&T pretty much gives them away with most plans.

Now that Apple is going to hop on the wireless charging train, I hope that all manufacturers see the need to put it into their flagships. It should be as mandatory as fast charging at this point.

I'd be surprised if they somehow turn Qi charging into "true" wireless charging, as some people would said Apple would do, before they implement it.
do they still pack in a slow charger with their phones despite them supporting fast charging with an iPad charger?

agree on that. I wonder if recent emui update is better. The main issue for me is/was notifications. The other small issues are easily solved with nova launcher and spending a few minutes with protected apps (battery saving options basically)
the new emui is a MASSIVE improvement over the previous one. Whether or not the P8 lite will get it is something I don't know. I'm the biggest hater of all OEM skins as most of you know but I think EMUI 5.0 may be the best one if I had to pick one off the trash heap.

The LG watch style looks so much better than the sport. Shame about battery and no nfc though. Hawaii watch 2 is gonna be interesting to see.

It looks really good on reviews I've seen. That's why I'm excited for the P10.

DEAL ALERT from AP. Axon Pro for 200 bucks (note: this isn't the axon 7):

Only downside for P10 is the design seems really underwhelming...other than that should be good.

if the huawei watch can do what others cant which is get thinner while maintaining battery life and adding features...I'd consider it tbh. Not to get right away but later in the year.

i dont get why other phones besides huawei don't group their nav buttons closer?

having to stretch to reach the opposite button sucks if you are one handing a 5.5"+. Thanks to the closer buttons I can do quite a bit one handed on this giant ass mate 9, without having to use the 'minimize mode'.

It's not like i've mistouched ever really.

i read that a huawei rep said the new watch had a 1000mAh battery.... i wonder how will they make the watch slim with a 3x battery than most watches.

Just rolled back to 7.1.1, the beta had too many crashes for me in apps and sharing.

Quick question: Can I transfer files from a Pixel to a Mate 9 with a USB-C to USB-C cable?

yea, you have to pick the option for file transfers tho otherwise it will try and default to one acting as a battery supply for the other

also i'm never buying a phone or tablet again with face buttons

Aside the glove part a wristband that takes up like a third of your forearm always seemed like a better ides than a watch as a wearable device... think about it, a wrist band of that size could allow not only allow for big batteries that would finally last more than one day but would have also bigger screen real estate.

We have a 6P and a OP3T at home, we want to have a Power Bank... any recommendation? something we should avoid? we dont want to fuck up our batteries because of shitty amperage/voltage.

Anyone relies on Google Voice and possibly other SIP apps probably want to avoid Huawei phones. It's gotten worse with Nougat update and Huawei simply say it's unsupported app and offers no indication that they will fix underlying problems.

I use Google Voice. What's the issue? Does the phone not ring when using Hangouts Dialer or another SIP app?

I make and receive calls using the standard dialer - Google Voice forwards calls to my number.

My Galaxy Note 5 battery life seems to get worse by the day. This morning it dropped about 30% in one hour, a reboot sorted it but God damn..... Why so much bloat Sammy? (and this is with package Disabler enabled and killing most of the pre-installed shit)

I hope Nougat sorts it, but I'm getting very close to pulling the trigger on a OP3T.

Through Hangout Dialer it works okay from what I gathered. The problem is if you use GV to dial out by default using the phone app, it always fails. The only workaround for now is if you force GV to ask you every time you dial out -- that works for some people but not me. I'm not sure about receiving calls; didn't test that. I've already reverted back to Marshmallow and probably never going to update my phone until they fix the problems, if ever. Other SIP app have different types of issues reported but I don't have first hand experience with them.

Motorola logo and Lenovo logo!

I get confused by all the Qualcomm chips, but didn't the G4 and G4 Plus have the same chip vs two different? I saw something saying the G4 has a 430 and the Plus has a 625?

Huh?

Yeah, both the G4 and G4+ have the SD617.

Some variants of the G4+ have up to 4GB of RAM.

Probably Lenovo feels that the 430 is good enough to push 1080p compared to earlier 400 series SoCs.

Also both variants have a fingerprint scanner now so they need something else to differentiate them.

People that have Qualcomm 801 and 810 phone you must know that those chips are bad for battery life regardless of your phone brand lol. I have 801 LG g3 phone which I love but I do not expect it to have good battery life. 820 phone I have mi5 is just fantastic.

Personally I hope they are wrong about the screen size. I don't want a 5.5" phone. Also they'll have 3 almost identical phones with the Mate 9 Pro, P10, and P10 Plus all being 5.5", with probably the same chip and camera.
There's also a P10 Lite. I think that will be the 5 inch one.

It's been more than a couple of years now so i don't remember but was the 801 actually bad with battery? As far as i know only 810 and 808 were garbage.

P10 Lite probably won't be any different than the P8Lite 2017/P9Lite, will only change aesthetically.

Ask me about the GAF Notebook
801 phones had fine battery for the time. They don't now obviously, but the battery if it's the original is going on year 3.

Is the 430 slower than the 617 though? Like is this a random case where the newer model is slower than the old model?

Although it's only pictured in black here, we expect the P10 Plus to be available in other colors too. It will sport a dual rear camera setup with Leica branding, the same as for the P10. In fact aside from the screen shape and biometric authentication sensor's position, the P10 and P10 Plus are set to be identical in terms of specs.
Both of them should have a 5.5-inch QHD panel, the Kirin 960 chipset, 4 or 6GB of RAM and 32 / 64 / 128GB of storage (depending on model), and an 8 MP selfie camera. They will run Android 7.0 Nougat from day one, with Huawei's EMUI 5.0 on top.

There's a rumour that along with going totally bezeless on the front, apple will be creating a "function row" of some kind for the iphone 8.

TEAM SOFTWARE BUTTONS ALWAYZ WINSSSS

capacitive peeps can eat it

I'll buy a iPhone this year if it comes in a OLED display and software buttons.

The rumours are all too good....gonna take a lot for the pixel 2 to sway me but I really really want it tooooooo. And it will definitely have OLED on the new model.

Sucks that the P10 isn't more ambitious in design. Also the camera and battery indicator being on the curve makes it look sloppy AF.
