COMICS!!! |OT| February 2017 All You Need is Love (and Rockets)

Stupid question: Does Jon Kent, son of Superman, have a superhero alias? Recently been watching some videos about him and he seems adorable

They've been pretty clear about him being Superboy.

Lost Girl is a heartbreaker. So much good shit squandered. Could have been Buffy. Maybe better. But it's mostly just crap.

S1 is largely mediocre with vague storylines that don't connect until the end, and when they do it doesn't feel like a big climax, but it works. S2 has a lot of promise and is largely better until the last few episodes, where they introduce and immediately finish seemingly very important storylines that should have been developed throughout the season. S3 is basically just the best season. Better acting, better writing overall, better directing, etc. S4, which I just finished, was carrying off of S3's momentum and good will until
Rainer shows up.
Everything becomes a huge clusterfuck. Basically it turns into S2, with several undercooked story elements showing up and leaving almost as quick.

I haven't started S5, but I have no hope after the way S4 ended, which was actually giving me hope that maybe this was a show that needed a lot of time to get its shit together. Sadly that wasn't the case.

I literally can't recommend this show at all except for Kenzi and any episode focusing on her. Maybe Tamsin.

Don't do it Messi.

Edit: ugh don't that page is so wack and it's a total Jim Lee impulse buy. I told you what one to get if you were going to waste money on his over priced trash. If that was any other name that would maybe be a $600 page. My page was from a way better book and it had freaking Batman in it for $950 less.

His Harley is garbo too. You could have gotten Punk Harley.

Tamsin is fantastic, as is Kenzi. I love Bo, too, actually. But part of that is me being superficial. She is my type and I find her super hot. And I do love a lot of elements of the world building. Especially Bo being a succubus. In my opinion, the problem with the show is that it feels rushed to production. I don't feel like the writers had a clear enough plan for the yearly arcs and how they would connect to the following years. With this type of world-building you need to. It felt like a show that they rushed to make but expected to be cancelled. And then they just had to write the rest on the fly. You can't do sci-fi like that. It becomes a mess. Whedon had the first 5 seasons of Buffy roughly mapped out before he shot a frame.

I feel like there's better Harley pages but not Jim Lee pages.

Absolutely. But I am trying to get pages from everyone who works on the Harley series. Well everyone who works traditional. Jim Lee worked on the Valentines annual. Part of the appeal is it being Jim Lee also.

The other difficult one is Amanda Conner. They took all her art back inhouse from Albert Moy and she hasn't sold any since. She hasn't sold any of the few interiors she has done. Only thing she did sell was a few early covers for 3-5k.

Nope

She only sells at cons though. Tom Fowler inked pages for her recently over her scanned digital inks and they are on sale on cadencecomicart.com

Heres the link

Some that were inked by Tom Fowler over Henderson digital pencils are for sale on Splash Page Art

Oh, those look cool. Thanks. Though if I was spending, I would want the originals I think.

Hopefully I can make it sometime to a convention she is at.

It's really apparent that it's more the writing than anything else. The acting and directing isn't great overall, but serviceable. Even with most of the actors having zero charisma (including Bo). The writing is flat out bad.

I agree precisely with what you're saying.

Singy is gonna be a mainstay if she got a figure.

I don't know about that...they made D-Man as Scourge and I'm pretty sure that only lasted like 3 issues.

It'll be funny if they make it through their Secret Wars phase (A-Force,Ex-Nihilo,Old Man Logan) without making God Doom.
