Guerrilla Games does it again.

Was just playing Shadowfall with the new boost mode. Even that launch game is still fucking stellar looking.

Really wish they would give us a Remaster of KZ2. (And 3)

Can anyone playing on standard PS4 take screenshots/GIFs to Slasher's? Would love to see how standard compares to Pro

I didn't even think about doing this I'll see you on Monday

I'll make sure the shots are identical so you aren't sitting there trying to determine the difference because they're different shots

I don't think you're gonna get disappointed with the side quests in this game. They never disappoint me, mind you they aren't extravagant in scope. Nothing like GTAV. They focus on the main mechanics of the game, but the stories are interesting, you never know what will happen, they pay handsome rewards, and they help flesh out the world.

Thanks man, that sounds awesome.

None of the sidequests kind of branched out of the typical combat gameplay comfort zone? Phrased another way, are there sidequests that make you do things besides the typical fighting?

For example, in Witcher 3 there were sidequests such as going to carnivals, playing gwent, talking to your horse, chaperoning a goat etc. All these sidequests weren't mechanically deep or anything and were just for fun but really helped spice things up.

So far, no, there's nothing like that. It focuses on tracking, stealth, combat, and platforming, like the main game. So yeah, if you want gameplay variety like that, I stand corrected: I don't think you'll find it in Horizon side quests.

Tad disappointing but the sidequests still sound great. Thanks.

If you skip fighting every time you do yeah it's going to be boring and you won't have anything to craft. There is a ton of gathering stuff, but you need it as that's your ammo, health and upgrades.

Finished the second
cauldron. It's more of the same, almost the same layout of the first. Now it had these rotating ledges that you can change direction. So I guess that's their "puzzle".
The enemy encounters though, holy hell I was being thrown around like a rag doll. So hectic and exciting.

Great stuff.

I keep being surprised on how generally accurate my prerelease impressions continue to be. I'm usually pretty off about them. I'm so excited.

The Killzone collection
-1,2,3 and Mercenaries all with working multiplayer. Mercenaries deserved more love and a PS4 enhanced port like Tearaway.

43, married with 2 kids, as excited for this as I was GTAV. I also had LOT of Zoids when I was a kid. In fact I would die if there was an Easter Egg with this...

Impressions are amazing guys. There seems to be so much emergent gameplay & 'moments' where you can just wander into a situation & get involved in stuff...plus it is outrageously gorgeous...likely to come under the 'games I've been waiting for since I was 12' category.

That good huh?

How is it as a sci-fi story? Not sure how familiar or into sci-fi you are

I'm so tired and I want to go to bed but I need to know more so I keep playing lol.

I don't read or watch too much sci-fi. I like sci-fi, but I'm a very casual fan. I don't want to disappoint you if you're a huge sci-fi connoisseur...but yes...this is a sci-fi story and I really like it.

Wait, are all these pretty gifs from pro? How much less-pretty is it gonna be for us plebs?

About same-pretty, but in lower resolution. I think we have one poster who is playing on PS4 Amateur and is going to make comparison pictures.

Yeah, he said so here:

Whatever the platform. I don't have a PC game that looks as good, perhaps The Witcher 3 but it's far less dynamic.
