I am the only person that thinks that Pudding mass editing everyone is a cheap twist? Every "theory" since her reveal has been like this, some people even thought that BM was a good person.
Pudding certainly used her powers, but she isn't the mastermind behind BM. If i were to bet she edited the motive BM bleeds.

It honestly just depends on how Oda explains it all.

I don't think there's much to it other than Pudding has more to her, but I can't say Greg is wrong because there's so little we know about that whole scenario.

is this the first time that so much of a chapter has been dedicated to spelling out a plan? it's so wordy. mostly it's just been luffy running headlong into battle. but since it's bege's plan he has to lead and convey it

All the things that can go wrong:
- Pekoms warns Mama
- Brulee warns Mama
- there could be homies everywhere. I can't believe not every member of the big mom pirates has a homie button on their clothes for mama to always be informed.
- Luffy being Luffy
- Pudding having a secret agenda
- Signal not going off
- the alliance betraying each other. I feel like Caesar is too smart to know that everything will work out as planned, and he just won't show up. Because if it fails, he will feel mama's wraith, and if he doesn't participate and it fails, he will be secure for the moment (until mama wants the gigantification serum)
- Mama actually not dying from the poison
- The Photo being somehow special
- unknown guests

The most obvious outcome: Pudding uses her power but sees herself in a reflection making her forget everything and actually falling in love with sanji.

Luffy.

But I don't think it's going to be the normal replacement, similar to how the other captains are his "family". By forcing it upon him and having him start protecting some land or whatever. His power level may not be exactly an emperor, but neither was Blackbeard. Yet, he easily has enough family and supporting cast now. Between Jinbei and Boa on the 7 Warlords, the 7 other captains, friendship with Law, etc possibly Vinsmokes after this arc is over.

But if we want to start thinking about where he is heading, Luffy vs Kaido. It feels like that is what is being built up on. Big Mom will get taken out since everyone introduced is against her. The void will need to be filled and someone will suggest Luffy or if Luffy needs to keep protecting more people, he'll make that bold claim he always does. Time for Luffy to start catching blackbeard again.

Why not? Bonney ate the age age fruit, she could have eaten it as an old hag years ago and made herself young.

There is definitely a link there between Big Mom and Bonney.

She believes she is Big Mom because of puddings memory alterations.

We only really know Bonney is connected to White Beard and she is important for the government, anything beyond that is baseless speculation and wishful thinking.

With that considered, it would be Goda moment if she is also related to Big Mom.

It's still evil, since she would need to erase the memories, skill and a part of someone's life. We also don't need the limitations of her skill. Maybe there is a time limit and editing cost too much time. Or she can't change her own memories.

If Pudding is knocked out will people remember anything erased/modified by her Sugar style?

Being an agent of BM she must had access to pretty influential people in the world, and it could have big consequences.

Nope. Sugars fruit was ridiculously op so Oda needed a deus ex to counter it. When we've seen Pudding use her power she literally cuts the memory out and throws the memory film away.
