I'm not sure why people expect sports people and celebrities to be some kind of institution for intelligence/wisdom. At least I have to assume they do or otherwise people wouldn't react shocked when their idol turns out to be an idiot.

True, it's an oblate sphere. But between the polar and equatorial circumferences, it's only a difference of like 130 km. (0.3% of the equatorial circumference.)

I do believe there's a conspiracy to make people think that other people think the earth is flat when no one is actually that dumb. Maybe it's just to gain social media attention, or maybe theres a deeper more sinister plot there that needs to be uncovered.

I think most believe that satellites aren't real. It varies of course, but the big key points are usually; all space images are cgi/actors, Nasa solely exists to deceive about our inability to leave the planet, we can't leave the planet because of the radiation belt around the planet, no satellites/rockets/space stations etc it's all faked by Nasa. Also Lance Armstrong's a reptilian or something.

The cool part is this line of thinking can also be used to support the idea that the earth is round since the force is always perpendicular to the velocity.

lol I was joking but thanks for the links with info. Thats the friendly way to forward along information for one to educate themselves. Quite the contrast from how some people reacted when a poster asked why trans-gendered individuals are accepted as normal while transracial people are said have a mental disorder in the Rachel Dolezal thread.
