Just go back to making fun of old video games pls, I hear enough of this crap from people I meet at work. Just want to watch some funny vids.

He uses an account called "LadyBuggin777" to like & favorite his own videos, as well as deflect all criticism towards his show, crying that anyone that hates him is a Clinton supporter.
Of course he denies that he's posing as his mom, but there's too much evidence to show he is. Like similar writing style, same IP address, and she would disappear when Chris would go to E3 or something. When people ask LadyBuggin for proof, she won't give it, only adding the suspicion that they're the same person.

There is also that one time he forgot he was on his main account and posted as his mother.

His Facebook has various Pro-Trump and Anti-Clinton images. He believes voting booths are rigged, and that Pizzagate is real.
He's also an avid Alex Jones fan going by the alt account he uses to pose as his mother.

What the fuck. I barely have any idea who any of these people are until they melt down like JonTron but wow, YouTubers were a mistake. All of these people sound just awful. I feel so bad for kids growing up now watching these losers.

You know this statement might've worked if he had only made one off-the-cuff racist statement, but it was almost an hour of him saying blatantly racist stuff.
Sorry bud, you're gonna have to try harder than that

BatDan

Bane? Get them on board, I'll call it in.

Don't paint all YouTubers as bad people. There's a lot of good people if you go looking. Or at least people smart enough to keep their mouth shut.

Yeah.. its hard to say "nah nah, I mispoke and misrepresented myself, also the media screwed me" when its about you explaining your jack ass thoughts over the course of an hour or more.

"I accidentally said racist things for minutes and minutes on end, cause I wasn't prepared"

As if you have to get up and do a book report or speech in a class, blank out and are like "you know... fuck niggers"

If you are going to believe in dumb shit, and prattle on about intellectual honesty and debate, then fucking own your bullshit. Don't back down when you get called out on it and blame it on it not being in your wheelhouse or an unfair media not enabling discourse.

How does one trim their beard like that and look in the mirror and say "yes this is fine"

Anyways Jon has gone way far down the alt right rabbit hole. Wouldn't be surprised if he had Sargon or another alt righty tuber help write that apology video or whatever he's called this

Dude had a shit show, then gave no apology for it? DUDE, that is literally the easiest thing you could have done here.

I do agree that I'm not with that whole "All white people are racist" crap. I understand white privilege, agree that it exists, educate dumb conservative closet-racists on it, and speak out against it. Im mostly a Progressive.

But yeah, I dont like being made to feel like shit, even though I'm an ally to the cause. It doesn't fly with me.

I also dont believe that (every) white person that voted for Trump is a racist. Do they ENDORSE Trump's racism? Absolutely, they do. But there's so many more issues out there, especially in the area's that contributed to us losing the election (Rust Belt mainly.) That people were voting for. Specifically Trade. Hell, a lot of these folks voted Obama TWICE. Yet, I see a lot of shit on Twitter, calling for "White voters to die".

I just really think we're going to be in trouble in 2020 (and in general) if we keep that narrative up. I feel like, as much am an ally and an asset that I cant be to getting to true equality and true harmony of the races, I often see stuff like that and feel hated, not welcome, and detrimental to any progress. It's fuckin taxing.

Sigh

I've said it many a time, a vote for Trump meant you were fine with his racism, sexism, possible rape, definite sexual assault, xenophobia, and a host of other issues. Motherfucker I don't care if you voted for him because your factory job is about to close and you blame Obama, that means you were okay with everything Trump said. By proxy you are a racist.

Why the fuck would you feel like shit if someone isn't saying something negative about you? It's fine to be a little offended sure, do you, but to feel like shit? What?

JonTron is not equipped to discuss this types of subjects.

And yet they still have no problem trying to, and to their millions of impressionable subscribers to boot. And then when called out on it they immediately play the victim of some "media is out to get me conspiracy Trump playbook" and never actually apologize or explore why what they said or did was maybe wrong. Just go with the 'its my opinion bro, treat me with respect and don't criticize me and let me continue to say what I want without calling me out on it"

And then you have the moderates saying you are supposed to have a discussion with these type of people instead when they make it clear repeatedly they have no intention of listening, understanding or hearing what you have to say.

I find it funny how PDP/Jontron/TB et al jump on the media is out to get them bandwagon.

Like when Trump/White House talk that shit, as bullshit as it is, you can kinda see it you know? Trump is the most powerful man in the world, so sure why wouldn't the media go after him, and then his team can deny their accusations and call them liars to discredit them etc.

But these youtubers think media companies have their portraits on a board with darts through their heads working out when and how to target them. Like if the media did have this power, and went along with it, they'd put random youtube dickheads over actual real life celebrities, CEOs, politicians etc.

Sometimes I wish I had my head so far up my ass as these guys do :(

If you believe anybody associated with Maker Studios is gonna willingly do a video calling out Jontron then you can keep dreaming. TB and Boogie didnt do it, so why would Ethan?
tb and boogie didn't do it because tb is a closet gamergater and boogie is a both sides schmuck.

He had a genuine chance for self reflection and instead he doubles down on his garbage views but this time he made sure to script it to make it sound more eloquent

Fuck this guy

You know something is really off when "Alex Jones fan" is the more reasonable part of a sentence.

The problem with the "rust belt" theory is, in addition to not excusing the blatant racism, xenophobia and all around isolationism, it's just pants-on-head stupid. Coal is fucking DEAD. Nothing will EVER bring coal back. If you're an out of job coal miner the only way forward is to find a new job. Anyone thinking Trump was going to bring back coal is frankly an even bigger idiot than the racists.

Coal doesn't even DESERVE to be brought back. It's fucking garbage. Everything else is more efficient and less deadly than it. It even spreads more radioactive material in a harmful way than nuclear power does, despite being not even a fraction as energy efficient. Coal isn't just dead, it deserved to die.

Coal is also so fucking beyond irrelevant it never deserved to be discussed at a national scale.

Jesus christ Jon. You were better off not posting a video...at all.

Reading from a prompter (look at his eyes)

basically says;
  • don't get mad when I think in racial categories when the discussion is about race
  • He references what I think is a sketch news clip ---At least I assume it is since there's background audience laughing ---indicating that it's white people's fault that Trump is president. And then he complains that people would be angry if the tables were turned and they said it's black people's fault that Obama was president
  • Says he is not against immigration. He is only against Mass Immigration.
  • Says that he believes that categorized Americans like African Americans, Asian Americans, Hispanic Americans etc shouldn't matter and that we should all just be fellow Americans....then proceeds to indicate that White America should not be a minority lolol
I stopped watching after that.
This video is the most non-apology apology video I have seen.

David Wong had a great article on Cracked about voters in Wisconsin losing faith in the Democratic bureaucracy they had voted for the last few terms and the desperation for jobs have turned people to vote for Trump. And I've seen alot of things lately about voters who regret their decision. We live in a racially trying time though, and there is a definite pick your side mentality. The problem isn't with extreme racists. Those people you'll never be able to convince to change. But I think there are plenty of people in the middle that can be talked to and taught about these things. What ends up happening is, we try to go for the extremists instead of the reasonable people in the middle who are just lost or confused. Especially young kids. I can't imagine the horrible things I said growing up, thinking it was a "joke". Growing older, I wish there were more people trying to teach me the ethics of being a decent human being.
The issue now is, however, people like JonTron have am audience with these large amount of impressionable youths and so dealing with issues like this become much trickier. Shouting him down just makes his fans become mode defensive, and letting him be allows him to have a bigger, more dangerous voice.
The best solution is to figure out how to approach these situations, but with how impassioned we are as a people, we are splintered on how to do so. It's a damned if you do, damned if you don't sort of mess we are in.

I mean, that's easy to say when you live in cities and such and that kind of economy is available to you. But these towns depend on these old fashioned industries to survive. I mean, literal towns built around coal mining or a steel factory, where the populace is very poor. These people can't afford to just move or 'get a different job.' There are none available to them. So they go and vote for a man who's making them empty promises because he's the only person speaking to them. His whole campaign was built around targeting these disenfranchised and scared subsets of the country that he knew would vote for him if he just told them that he'd provide for him.

So, I guess this might be the end of Normal Boots?

Or maybe they'll just excise JonTron and keep everyone else around?

(I'm a big ProJared fan and I believe they're under the same umbrella, though I don't think ProJared cares about politics enough for this BS? Nice to see PBG calling Jon out on his actions though.)

Am I misreading the "ALL" part of "All whites are racist"?

This is the part where, instead of meeting my post with condescension, maybe help me better understand why I should disregard the largest section of voters (especially democratic ones) in the country for the 2020 election.

I dont like that they voted for him either. Fuckin pissed about it. But to me, they dont fit the definition of racist. They're clearly dumb as fuck, absolutely. But economics, jobs, etc. When you have a family to feed, and you're worried that the democratic candidate that supported terrible trade deals (Like the TPP for all the years leading up to the election) isn't going to be there for you, but the Conservative candidate is anti-trade, The gravity of that pulls harder than social issues for some people. It's shitty, but it's real. And dismissing that further hurts our chances in 2020.

Would love to have this debate but time and place.

Persians (which includes Iranian) are what the Nazi's based their concept of the Aryans race. So to neo-nazis he would be a literal 'one of the good ones'

Also never underestimate 'fuck you got mine'

This. Jon got in the club by looking mostly white as agreeing with the ideology, he doesn't care about other people who are in a position like his father was immigrating to the US... Why should he? He has his.

Wonder what his parents honestly think...

While I do overall agree with some of the sentiment, and think it does apply in some cases, Jontron said a lot of really... "questionable things" that are hard to interpret as just being an innocent moderate scared off by too much overzealous leftism.
