Must've been an omen rocking my OG Atmos today, because I somehow copped a pair of the re-release from NDC! 😲

After taking so many L's trying for both OG's and the Masters, I really wanted these the most as not only are they Top 3 sneakers of all time in my books, but for the longest time they were my absolute grails (until I got the '07 over a year ago).

Super stoked to have another pair on the way, I can go the rest of 2017 not copping anything else and it would have been a great year. 🙃

Hopefully there is a restock on Air Max Day and everyone cops. Resell is a bit absured at the moment, but if you do go that route, wait it out until next month when the Air Max hype dies down and everyone moves their attention back to Boost.

Speaking of Air Max Day, have you guys checked out the next Vote Forward for next year? Rather than voting back a retro sneaker as they did with the Atmos, Nike enlisted a few "designers/influencers" to create their own Air Max and the one with the most votes, their design will be released Air Maxy Day 2018. Most of them are whack, with the Moscow design easily being my favourite. Sean Wotherspoon's (of Round Two) corduroy AM1 x AM97 will probably take it out though because of his following.

Pretty comical to have people vote on what shoe they want to return and then make it impossible to get.

I see the garbage 2.0 seem to be selling out so I guess the strategy worked.

Edit: those vote forward shoes are trash. People should just vote for the worst one (lol that def con one) since you won't be able to buy it anyways.

I had a general release lifestyle Adidas sneaker that I remember being complimented on back in high school. I don't own them anymore, unfortunately.

Limited releases are just part of sneaker culture now. And I don't fuck with them. If I gotta put in effort or pay above retail for something that I shouldn't, then I don't want them. It's why I don't fuck with Yeezy's, why I've turned a blind eye to many Boost releases (especially here in Canada) and why I don't bother with retroed Jordans. I'm just not into the hype or zeitgeist of the whole thing. Despite the limitedness, you still see everybody rocking these same shoes though, like people lack their own sense of identity or style.

I have different types of socks for different shoes I own haha. From ankle socks to no show socks. I like the clean look of not seeing socks with shoes. 🙃

I generally wear grey ankle socks. I think they look clean with 99% of all low tops and they don't show dirt like white socks. I've been getting into some longer crew socks again, mostly grey or marled so that there's a bit of texture to them without being patterned and garish. I'll probably put them away as spring comes into affect tho. I generally wear my pants rolled up and I like to show off my ankles.
