Current progress, such a fun build. I think I mainly just need to do funnels, weapons and add a hand now.
hey nice progress, you almost finished building the body =)

I even went back in and added a hand with the rifle while I'm warming up a veggie burger. Instead of playing Horizon I sunk some time into this, feels worth it. Music added to the enjoyment so I didn't want to stop building, but I have work tomorrow and such so I finally decided to stop.

I've finally settled on my first gunpla painting project- but know nothing about how I should go about starting. Any advice for first time painters about what kind of paint and any decent sprayers I should look into that aren't too expensive?

And we're getting a HG Tristan right?

So maybe HG REVIVE Alex soon I hope.

They showed off a Tristan and that new Zaku III not that long ago yeah; I think at the same show they showed the new Zeta for whatever they're rebranding Revive as. Alex Revive would be killer.

Any pics of the Zeta? Older hguc wasn't great

Is that the Tristan on the right? That's a hecka 80's inspired design, love it lol.

As for painting I would try to use the Tamiya stuff if you can get it as its more or less ready to paint without much hassle, especially the already in spray can stuff. If not I'm sure the others can give some advice for spray kits and what not.

One step closer to MG Tryon 3!

I give it a month before someone does it lol. Would love to see it too. Hopefully complete with metallic paint.

G Gundam is so good in its last arc, it helped to wash away the bad feelings I had with Turn A.

Schwartz and Domon are so good. I creyed hard.
screw Dark Gundam, screw it all. Domon and Kyouji deserved to spend more time catching up and everything

Nice man. Welcome to the fold.

UC Gundam is so great. Love Zeta and can't wait for the 0083 and 08th blu-rays coming up. All awesome shows.

Cheers, man.

I used to consider myself a big Gundam fan, but I really had no idea what that meant until now. I'm enjoying Zeta quite a bit. Tend to watch it late at night though cause of work hours so I fall asleep a lot, which isn't great, but I'm still enjoying it a lot.

I've been thinking about getting into Gunpla building recently. Would this tool kit and markers be good enough to start off?
yep! those are all you need to build a whole kit.

personally i had a hard time with the pilot pen style gundam markers and use these gundam brush style markers instead:
gm20 black brush style marker
gm21 grey brush style marker

i'm going to post some large picture examples of gundam pen marker and brush style that i used.

brush style is much easier to apply and remove. i can't tell you how much easier it is to use than the pen ink style markers. comes out very even and easy to wipe off with just your finger or a q tip.

if it's your first time trying the pen style, see if you like them before passing judgement (i don't like them but use em in certain situations)

this was gundam marker pen gm01. it was ok but take a look at the 2nd picture up close panel lines on the shoulder and waist armor... very uneven.

gundam brush style marker gm20 used. so much even and easy to apply imo. in the up close photos it still looks great.
