After what happened with Sharon(?), I kind of think Dwight might be for real. If we can exchange a Dwight for an Eugene, I think Rick's group wins this one. Eugene is a bitch ass.

Why the fuck does Eugene not just use the fucking pills to kill Negan??? Poison him and he has 20-30 minutes to walk out the front door. Should have talked to Dwight a bit more who would have been the clear heir apparent. No blowback on him whatsoever.

Only caught the last 30 minutes but I liked what I saw.

Glad to see Sasha's not dead!
yet :(

Really hope next week's cliffhanger doesn't piss me off as bad as last season. lol

You wonder who is this birdy that told negan about rick being up to sonething.

Didn't eugene get captured before they started to gather and meet the other communities?

Dang i missed that

It could easily just be a red herring. But moments after Negan says he knows about Rick and that tomorrow is going to be a big day, the show cuts to a scene with Gregory. Given his repeated attempts to suck up to Simon, it's not hard to imagine that he's spilling the beans.

I think Dwight is for real. He has been through too much shit to continue siding with Negan. I feel like he will just double cross Negan next episode somehow.

Haven't watched this for like 6 episodes. Have I missed much?
You cab watch next week and not miss a thing. They'll show a recap anyway.

I don't think you'll be completely lost watching the season finale, but there are certain things that will be weird and unexplained (Morgan, Carol, Eugene, Dwight, and the garbage people). If all you want is to see the main Negan-plot get thrust forward and don't care about the details, then I guess you can skip most of the season.

Re: the season ending on a cliffhanger, this is what Robert Kirkman said last year:

A lot of the responses [to the season 6 cliffhanger] were like, ‘Ah, these jerks trying to pull one over on us,’ and it’s like, ‘No. It’s all done in an effort to keep you entertained,'” Robert Kirkman said. “I think as a creative person I have to acknowledge that all responses are valid, so I definitely have to take note that there’s a seemingly significant portion of the audience that wasn’t happy with that direction.”

“So in that respect, I think everyone on ‘The Walking Dead’ creative team has taken note of that, and I don’t know that I would expect a similar cliffhanger at the end of season 7,” he added. “We love the fan base, we love the audience and so if you didn’t like this one, you’ll like the next one.”

There will still be a cliffhanger of some sort, it just won't be as transparent and pandering as last year's.

Nobody really complained that much when Season 4 ended with Rick's crew trapped in a train car at Terminus. You just have to do a cliffhanger in a way that leaves people craving more, and not where it feels like you are deliberately denying the audience resolution.

The preview for next week 100% spoiled a big moment from the comics being applied to a different character. You had to be paying attention and know about the scene from the comics but good job, AMC. Thanks.

I really hate ricks group at times, why be so shitty to the all women group. I feel like the grandmother was vindicated, she was right about needing to kill Tara.

So much trashy writing that episode

Well mostly that entire seapeople segment

When the walkers came, haven't rolled my eyes so hard since that similar moment last season of GOT

He doesn't even have to run. Slip it in his water before bed and it'll look like he had a heart attack in his sleep. How will they tie it back to him, the only two people who would be able to determine it was foul play is the Doctor who is being held against his own will and the person who administered the poison to begin with.

Yeah, I really have no idea what the tone of those scenes with the womens' group is supposed to be. They're robbing a desperate group of their only defenses, but it's played just like good ol' Rick & Company pulling off another one of their incredible schemes. Grandma voices very legitimate concerns, takes a punch to the face, and suddenly I guess everyone is okay with the situation?

When Rick's squad killed all the Saviors at the satellite station, it felt very morally ambiguous. This just felt like the writers wanted to excuse him doing something pretty awful.

Yeah the whole situation from the set up to the execution I felt was really bizarre. And.. Setting off explosions for seemingly no reason? Felt like they asked "how can we make an intense moment with walkers?"

I have a feeling Sasha is gonna play along for a bit and then kill Eugene for being a trader and then meet her end by Negan after that.
