Well that was the best Spider-man movie since Spider man 2, too bad it's short should have been longer than 3 minutes

hype at maximum levels

damn @ aunt may

I think that's kind of the point of the movie, though. Tony is like the well meaning but annoying/over-protective big brother who "knows better", and the audience is going to be rooting for Spidey to prove him wrong. At least that's the vibe I'm getting.

Stark: Peter defeated Vulture in a cave...with a box of scraps...

Looks fun. Not sure it looks like a film going to make a billion dollars but it should be entertaining.
There isn't a universe in which this film doesn't make over a billion.

no WAY this grosses more than guardians.
Except for the fact both Amazing Spider-Man films made just under 70ish million each less than Guardians and both those films had a lot of negativity behind them where as this has the disneyverse and a already well loved and established spider-man, iron man and by proxy infinity war tie-in behind it.

It's going to do 1B+.

Well mad I watched that, thanks for letting me know the entire plotline of the movie in the order it will probably play out in as well. jesus

I loved Spidey in Civil War but this looked incredibly generic. And I don't like that there was so much Iron Man. I always prefered Spider-Man as a self-made man (or boy) that was isolated from the rest of the superheroes aside from Johnny Storm. I don't care much for Stark as a mentor figure.

Oh well, it's just a trailer of course and I'm sure it will be serviceable at the very least but I doubt I'll see this in theaters.

lot of things happening in that trailer.. maybe too many things.

don't know how I feel about the last half of the movie being in his psuedo-suit.

they basically inverted ben's costume.

Bad_Boy

time to take my meds
Bookeem woodbine doesnt look like he has any type of shocker costume on.

Where is donald glover?

Zendaya is definitely mary jane. I dont care what she said in an interview.

Thats no regular airplane, maybe the avengers jet?

Cool trailer. I think they are hiding a lot more than it looks.

Honestly while i make jokes, spoilers as long it isn't a big twist is not going to bother me and it seems like the plot i already expected so shrug.

never left the stone age
It finally clicked with me. This is why I don't care about movies anymore, the fucking trailers, it's like reading a synopsis on Wikipedia in video form

How does the licensing for this work? Disney own the MCU, but this is a Sony film and they have all the Iron Man/Avengers shit in there. I'm guessing Sony and Disney simply came to some sort of mutually beneficial agreement?

I guess the science is does RDJ's star power cancel out Sony's diminishing of the brand?

Make Spidey Great Again!
99.9999% of the audience have zero clue what studio releases what movies. They see this as a movie set in the Marvel universe with Iron Man and the Avengers. Same as any other MCU film. The Sony element is not something anyone going to this really understands or knows about.

This trailer shows Peter
defeating the
Vulture. Too much, seriously. It's obvious the scene in question is from the climax of the film.

Because there is no way popular actor isn't going to elevate the movie in terms of box office

wasn't aimed at you, i know you are joking just being a dick

Formerly Alaluef (not Aladuf)
Why spoil a major story beat like this?
My guess is that they want to show as much of Tony Stark as possible in the marketing and that particular beat is most of what has to do with him in the movie.

edit: assuming you mean the taking back of the suit.

That's not true in this day and age.

This movie looks like it's going to follow every "first superhero movie entry" trope beat for beat if this trailer is any indication. Just surprised people have sat through enough superhero films and still somehow feel "spoiled."

Grizzlyjin

Supersonic, idiotic, disconnecting, not respecting, who would really ever wanna go and top that
Oh, I'm actually excited for this again. It's funny but this movie seems to address one of the more vocal complaints I remember hearing with the first trailer. "Why is Iron Man making everything for Peter?" But going off the story beats in this trailer, it looks like Stark "benches" Peter and then he's forced to take on The Vulture with his OG raggedy costume. You can see it in the school fight and plane sequence. That's a really cool take on things. I'm in.
