Next two series I'm going to watch are Woman Called Fujiko Mine and Michiko to Hatchin.

Fujiko starts pretty awesome, but the story (and production) goes to pieces in the second half. Personally, it was one of many frustrating disappointments.

Luckily, the recent Lupin OVAs like Jigen Daisuke's Gravestone maintain all of Fujiko's style without mimicking its failings.

Akashic Records of Bastard Magical Instructor Episode 1 – The Unmotivated Bastard

Glenn Radars is hilarious and Im glad this show at least gives male characters lines and such a few of the other magic school teacher shows appeared to place much less importance on them.

The random girl touching each other scene was weird and forced, and kind of unnecessary.

I hope he has some epic ability or something, not just another failure-senpai.

Just got the My Hero Academia Limited edititon and the extra content is really nice.

The notebook is a pretty normal notebook until we reach the MIDDLE!

The art book has tons of sketches for every character that appeared in season 1

Also it's more of a first for me for a FUNimation release but, the blu-ray box has an extra disc just for extras and from the description there is tons of extra stuff.(3 hours)

The art on the discs are also really really cool and are the japanese BD covers.

Really happy with that release.

There is also a key-chain, but let's just forget it exist.

The Laughing Salesman Episode 3

Wonder if that's an actual painting in the background. Looks pretty metal.

Also this show continues the odd trend of having the second half be so much better than the first. (Although the first half was probably better storyboarded for once.)

The Royal Tutor Episode 1

Theres my Aoi Shouta for the season, so happy to hear him.

Good concept and great episode 1, I love how touching and heartfelt the story can potentially be with each of the princes hoping to perhaps better themselves and get the attention that they seem to be craving from people.

Hope Bruno speaks more, VA was great in Nanbaka and All Out!

Whats everyones opinion on the Berserk anime? I just finished watching the Golden Age movies and heard the anime was a downgrade but Im kind of itching to continue the story.

I assume you're talking about the 2016/2017 anime, and not the 1997 adaptation.

The 2016/2017 adaptation is for true die hard fans only. I mean that. It's easily the worst adaptation so far.

I won't tell you not to check it out of curiosity, but I can't recommend it. Better to just read the manga.

The first anime or the new one? The first one covers the same story that the movies do, and does a better job at it. The new anime covers the stuff past the Golden Age, but it's garbage.

I'd recommend reading the manga from the beginning if you really want more of the story.

I concur manga remains far and above the single best version.

The isekai one where someone is reborn as Yamcha with all the knowledge of the DB universe? I think that might be a fan comic. I assume its still going.
Wasn't it supposed to be an official spin off?

Edit: Jesus christ chapter 2 hasn't even released after 4 months? Guy only released 1 chapter and he already has berserkd

was watching When Marnie Was There last night and holy shit i couldn't finish it, what a boring ass movie. saw nearly an hour of it and nothing was happening. i refused to give that movie anymore of my time.

How much did you enjoy the moe scientist?

I thought she was going to be a major character but it seems like the show is just going to shift "leads" every episode. It's kinda weird. I'm sure she'll get more episodes, but it looks like they're going to start introducing the female negotiator next.

I really don't "get" how this show even exists. There's no commercial hook, there's no merchandising angle, it's a really muted show considering the heavy CG production, and I feel it could probably be made at a fraction of the cost with no difference in visuals. So... what exactly is it? I'm glad someone greenlit an interesting scifi thriller anime series but I just don't understand why they would. Lol.

It was originally announced as a movie but then got delayed and turned into a TV series and then got delayed some more and then there was a live-action PV with Amazing Grace and now it's some weird CG/2D hybrid and ??????

They also briefly considering taking the idea and making a water park with it, but they decided it didn't have enough mass appeal.

I caught up on MHA and finished off ACCA last night.

MHA still moves too slow. It's good enough, and I love the dub.

ACCA was pretty pleasant all in all. Type of show I'll forget ever seeing a few months from now but I didn't hate it.

Finished off Interviews with Monster Girls and Fuuka last week, and Akiba's Trip the week before.

Monster Girls was about as good of a show as you can get without having any real conflict. Nice, light entertainment, would watch more of it. Fuuka...I think the truck did hit Fuuka and all of Yuu's friends played along with his grand delusion. Akiba's Trip is an ugly anime with an awful first episode...that got better the more I watched of it. Dub took some interesting liberties and some of the episodes like the SF5 tournament were inspired.

Pried myself away from Zelda for a while and I started watching My Hero Academia. Wow this show rules.

Just finished episode 6 and man that was awesome! The hero suit designs are pretty lame but I'm really liking the characters so far. Theres one dude that looks like Natsu for FT heh.

Uraraka is adorable, especially because of her goofy looking expressions. Deku needs to stop crying all the damn time though. I love All Mights english and how he keeps saying "Shounen!" The soundtrack is really awesome too. Gives me Gundam Build Fighters vibes.

I'm happy I waited until the first season was finished to watch it. I would've hated waiting every week for new episodes.

Seriously with all the interview I saw with Justin Briner and man the guy is just suited for Deku. Personality wise he's like perfect.

But everyone is just ace in the MHA's dub. I nver remember his name, Kirishima's VA is just way too fitting.

Also I don't know if you noticed(I did not at first cause he's all bandaged up), but they changed Aizawa's VA.

You! I like you!

It's interesting, but I agree it is kind of weird that it exists

I haven't watched enough to make a solid opinion of the show but I'll make the assumption right now that if the moe scientist gets any more screen time than a minute or two in an episode it is going to bring the show down heavily.

Every other character seems to belong in their role besides her. The lazy coworker/partner, the college professor/scientist, the will they/won't they government employee lady, glasses.

Then here comes this scientist and everything about her clashes so much with the rest of the show I am focused on her for every wrong reason. I am interested to see where this sci fi may lead. But I don't want her along for the ride.

If they need to keep her around, then at least have the decency to have an evil American President who has scenes where he orders the illuminati to capture the evil alien and bring it to America because it'll lead us to oil

Tsukigakirei Episode 2

This is not a story of young love.

This is the story of a young man gaining confidence from a pretty girl to take on his light switch.

Also is the father an alien? Telling his young son that youth is about doing what you want. That's not how being Japanese works man.

Woman Called Fujiko Mine - Completed

Going in, I wasn't actually expecting this to more or less also be the origin stories for most of the main cast. The art direction and sound track was dope as hell and I liked how the second half of the series in a way felt like a character study for how Fujiko became the woman that she is in the present. Was also cool seeing the other character dynamics slowly form, particularly between Lupin and Jigen. One thing that took me off guard though was
Zenigata actually sleeping with Fujiko in his intro episode.
I'm so used to the character being a goof ball in other entries in the franchise that something that...adult, caught me off guard lol. My one complaint is I felt like at times Fujiko felt like a side-character for too much of the series. I still really enjoyed it though.
