Once upon a time I would have been really happy with the Argentine peso news, but I've seen the prices in the Chilean store and Valve/the publishers are robbing them blind.

Yeah, hopefully we are wrong and we get prices similar to what Brazil gets (not counting Bethesda games). But I expect none of that :/

Games on the Chilean store are up to ~30% cheaper by default. I don't know if Valve's algorithm is perfectly fair for the region, but regardless Chilean users aren't paying more than they were before save for cases where the publisher has decided that they should.

Oh, so it's just a case of publishers being greedy. Hopefully they won't do the same thing here.

Yeah, Acti and the like are always going to have crappy (relatively or otherwise) region-specific pricing. DLC tends to be fare better, though.

Finished up Bayonetta. Took me about 12hrs.

Damn what a ride. Such a crazy ass 10 out of 10 masterpiece. Easily the best action games I played. Actually surprising to see how much depth and content the game had. The cutscenes and the music were all 5 stars. Enjoyed just about every single chapter in the game. The pacing was great and so were the characters. Cheshire was probably the weakest overall but still the stuff with him was entertaining. The game is definitely the type that needs to be replayed. I'll probably do so in the future. For now tho I'll try playing something else. Need to find something with slower tempo lol.

did you fight the hidden boss?

Soma takes place in Toronto but that subway looks nothing like the one in Toronto :<

they're gonna adjust the pricing (slightly) but you can't gift anything to you friends ever :<

We can't gift things anyways. They added us to the South American region years ago (but still charged us in US dollars)

didn't know that, yeah that shit sucks, we also have US pricing for some games but we can't gift outside of our region and it's stupid, I had to paypal my friend to gift

valve pls

that guy was a bitch, i killed him on the ps3 but didn't bother on pc, maybe i should fight him again

i remember he went all apeshit towards the end

Just looked up what that is and....nope. Sounds pretty cool tho.

you need to get S rank on everything or some shit like that. didn't want to bother with it on the wii u, especially with the awful QTEs. If i ever get the game on pc ill probably download a save that has it unlocked already just so i can fight him

currently playing deus ex MD

is it just or this game really ugly for the kind of performance you get?
i have most stuff on high, lens flares off, some lighting stuff on medium, running a GTX1070 at 1080p

and it feels like not that big a step up from deus ex HR which came out almost 6 years ago
I thought it was gorgeous. The environments in HR were serviceable, but in MD I couldn't help but take screenshots over just how pretty and packed with art the locales were.

Toki Tori 2+ is fun for a good while, but by the time I was approaching the fourth of the five frogs you need to complete the game, I had to conclude that there just isn't enough variety in the core puzzle mechanics to sustain a game of this length. I can only manipulate so many frogs into burping bubbles in the right spot before it becomes dull.

I admire the idea of a puzzle-platformer-Metroidvania where all skills are learned via player deduction rather than acquired via power-ups, but I don't think they quite nailed the execution. Maybe if it were shorter.

Man, anyone else getting like 4 invites every day from CSG***O bots?
This is getting annoying as hell, blocking them doesnt help.
Steam really need to do something about those.

Can somebody help me out who has knowledge of gaming on mac and humble bundle monthly??
My issue is the drm free download of the witness on mac. I downloaded it and can't get it to play. Sorry if wrong forum. Thanks gaf

I have attended a talk about Furi and the dev has confirmed the numbers on SteamSpy: about 60k owners so far. Before the game release, he had hoped for 100k during the first month.

I think PS+ plays a role here; I think zero marketing besides generally positive word of mouth plays a role here. I think the game's price plays a role here. I think the genre plays a role here. I think the reception has generally been good but not amazing. A priori there is no way I would expect a game like that to do 100k month one.

also the game is in the Origin Access vault now (since February?) so I'd imagine that could have an effect on sales too

I finished Call of Duty Infinite Warfare the other day and I kinda liked it up until last two missions (there was also a moment before those 2 missions where I rolled my eyes). They really, really f-ed up everything with those last two missions. And ending, oh boy it was pure cringe. All in all I spent 9 hours in SP and mostly liked it so it was worth spending 8$ on it in my opinion.

That doesn't really change my mind. I admire and appreciate the number of ways you can use your very limited toolset, and the freedom that grants the player to access new areas even before most even realize they can do so. But the core gameplay within each level can still mostly be broken down into a series of distinct puzzles, and those puzzles eventually become just too reliant on certain design elements for their own good, particularly the frog/bug/bubble.

I still think it's a good game and well worth examining from a design perspective, even if it wears out its welcome before the end. It's just not all a game with its premise could have been.

I don't really need a tag, but I figured I'd get one to make people jealous. Is it working?

Where is it 8$?

started playing this but had bad audio mixing issues with realtek drivers, with the music drowning out the vocals.. someone on the forums figured it out that two volume sliders show up when you open the volume mixer in Windows, one controlling the speech and the other the music... has anyone seen that before?

One interesting note about the game is that I picked the same responses I chose the first time I tried it, and had even a different outcome based on me choosing one of the responses fast enough

(from very beginning of game)
was running to catch a train and a guy asked for directions, both times I chose to help him rather than just board the train.. the first time I thought about it a bit and then chose to help and I ended up missing my train, but the second time I clicked it right away and the guy helped him and then was able to get on the train at the last second
which was cool.. that and the fact that I guess it has 3-4 endings means it is already looking a lot better than The Bunker

edit: store page says 7 conclusions wat

Hmmm...

Edit: He is right! I cannot believe it! I cannot take a Steam screenshot because Steam does not allow me to do it before the Unity splash screen appears. However, I can use ShareX to take a pic:

Finally finished Persona 5. What a delight it was from an auditory and visual standpoint, great UI, music and voice acting. Nier: Automata had an equally great UI, music and voice acting. We're having a fantastic year in gaming.

Looking forward to Dawn of War 3, I'm just hoping that we get a good soundtrack and some decent voice acting. Or at least some memes out of it.

The best thing is that it was thought out so that it is displayed in the time needed for the Steam overlay to appear. It is possible to take a Steam screenshot, but only right after the logo disappeared.
