Is there a complete list for flower bouquets? I hadn't time to read the flowerpedia and now i need to make one with brightly-colored flowers with pungent arome and have no idea where to begin with...

So, DLC question, what part in P4 Arena are those costumes with the black suits and red goggles actually referencing? I recognize the music, just not the look.

Anybody know where to grind Red Phosphorus?

I was picking some up in the lowest level of mementos I could accesss in early November.

Oh cool! I don't think I have any personas with confuse. Leanan Shide has brainwash and other mental related attacks but I think that's all I've seen so far.

I don't think I have any either. Does anyone know early personas that can easily get confuse?

I thought I was going to do the school trip today. But alas, I spent like over an hour in Mementos instead, bought the Dancing All Night DLC and the 3 new DLC Personas, fixed a laptop, got Becky up to Rank 9, got my Charm maxed, got my Proficiency and Kindness up to 4, and cleared the final Big Burger Challenge.

I felt it was all really productive, and I washed a full stack of stuff for FREE at the laundry thanks to Becky. But damn, this game just sucks all the time away. At least I know after the trip I can start hammering away at Makoto and Futaba's Confidant ranks again! Yay!

Holy crap, thank you to whoever first mentioned confusing Mementos bosses. Got 500k in one fight. Pulipna+Confuse Boost+Sandman's high luck = making it rain all day every day.

Spoiler final palace, last part

is it still possible to gather all the money i need to fuse at least yoshitsune when i'm in the fucked up Shibuya or should i load a previous save in mementos? I currently have 50k (lol)

Edit:
seems to be going pretty smoothly despite not being able to sell shit to iwai, already tripled that amount

Yusuke learns a Physical move that hits all foes with a chance of confusion around the late twenties. Very helpful against a certain foe in the 4th Dungeon in fact.

40 hours in and really losing steam. This doesn't have its hooks in me like P4, although I'm having trouble figuring out why. Many things about it are clearly better, but something is missing.... I'm wondering if I'm just too damn old to get invested in the travails of high school kids :-(

So about the Strength discussion a few pages back, is there a good guide on how to get the necessary Persona?

Ask me about the moon landing or the temperature at which jet fuel burns. You may be surprised at what you learn.

To each his own I suppose.

No it doesn't.

Lowest is Mandrake, best is probably Onmoraki if you can level it (learns Pulinpa/Confuse Boost at 14/15).

Thanks for clarifying. I think I have a Mandrake but I'll try to fuse Onmoraki cause I don't remember if I have that one or not.

The game faqs schedule has the strength confidant info on it on the first page but you could also use the calculator

I was really in the groove about 10-15 hours ago, leveling up confidants, increasing stats, meeting new characters. But the last two dungeons were just a drag and I'm finding the characters fairly flat (though Yusuke can be fun). And as fresh as the aesthetic is, the menu and transition screens are now over familiar. Part of the issue may be the more episodic structure. I don't feel like the group has a real goal to pull me along through the story, and their whole kidz power thing doesn't resonate for me.

Yeah, there's no story or character progression after characters get introduced, which is different than 4 where a plot line was generally progressing throughout the entire game. So, without a story, you're just left with the bare tedium of the gameplay mechanics which - as nicely put together as they all are - don't really hold up for 100 fucking hours jesus christ.

If the story was gripping then it'd be easy to just push on and the gameplay wouldn't actually matter that much, but since there basically isn't a thread to follow through the game (and several of the episodes are very weak story-wise), there isn't much to keep you going at times.

Dungeon 4 and 6 are pretty nice at least!

It's supposedly what the Shadow Operatives (Mitsuru's organization) look like.

Well, what a ride. Finished my first playthrough last night, new game + save file reads 105 hours. I actually liked the 7th palace, didn't find its gimmick tedious until the very last passage which was also one of the easiest to navigate. The story reveals from the last palace up until the end of the game were great, did not at all see it coming. The game is deceptively long, hehe, as I kept wondering where the end was even in the final dungeon (which was unexpected). An amazing package of a game, overall. My one real complaint would be to improve the flow of the game during the "investigation" portions where you can't really do anything. They really drag and the story beats were never good enough then to distract me from how eager I was to get back to my daily schedule. But, feels like a small complaint in an otherwise awesome experience. Metacritic got it just about right, 9.5 out of 10 for me.

Yoshitsune
, already have the required demons. Was much easier than I expected

Big December / Palace
7
Spoilers:
Just finished off Palce 7. It was LONGGG but still good. Akechi's segment was great and I was sad to see him die, it was nice to see him get some more character stuff added at the end. The segment where you send the Calling Card was so bad ass, one of my favourite scenes of the game so far. It was satisfying to beat Shido, that was a pretty fun boss but it was easier than I anticipated.

So now that I'm done Palace 7, how many hours do you think I have left? I'm done all of my Social Links too so besides a trip to Mementos to do a couple of requests I'll be pretty much skipping through the days waiting for Shido's change of heart.

So about the Strength discussion a few pages back, is there a good guide on how to get the necessary Persona?

The guides I saw seemed to overcomplicate things. They're mostly pretty easy:

1: Level Jack Frost to 12, it will learn Mabufu.
2: Fuse that Jack Frost with Makami, inherit Frei. There's also a Frei skill card in the free DLC if you prefer.
3: Fuse Nekomata with Arsene.
4: Eligor has Tarukaja and you have to use him to make Flauros.
5: Level Kin-Ki to 27, fuse with Nue/Sui-Ki/Black Ooze.
6: Anzu learns Dekaja at 28 and has to be used to make Neko Shogun. Alternatively, you can fuse Orobas and Agathion to make a Kodama with it if you don't want to level anything.
7: Level Clotho to 27, fuse with Stone of Scone. Alternatively, you can do a multi-step fusion starting with Principality that's probably more trouble than it's worth.
8: Fuse Lilim with Unicorn or Thoth with Sandman.
9: Hariti learns Samarecarm at 41 and has to be used to fuse Bugs.
10: Level Dakini to 52, fuse with Pixie, use resulting Anubis with High Counter in Seth fusion.

Quoting this so I can reference it later if need be

I wish they didn't require so much money to summon registered personas. Really stifles being able to experiment and play with the system. Ya you can make bank in mementos, but for anyone not doing that it must suck.

soooooooooo good.

Also, from some of the same people: Beneath the Mask cover

You get discounts on the cost of summoning from the compendium when you fill out 25%, 50% and 75% of the compendium (maybe 100% as well?). It's still high if you're not rich rich, but you should have at least some room for experimentation. I found the biggest barrier to crafting new personas wasn't having to summon fusion fodder from the compendium, but my level. Up until endgame, I'd managed to fuse pretty much everything without much trouble.

I went through like 200k fusing stuff in Palace 5. Not cheap.

I mean, I'm not trying to say I NEVER struggled for cash, there was at least one time I was down to my last 2000 yen. But a trip to Mementos, without using the confuse trick and just negotiating/fighting normally, would always solve that issue easily. Satisfying the Strength confidant requests probably took most of the money I spent on fusions, but outside of that I actually didn't feel the need to summon very often just to fuse. Whatever personas I already had on hand were usually good enough to get me a bunch of nice new ones, and by the end of the game I was at 80+% compendium completion.

Maybe it just felt easy to me because I've played older Persona games? Or maybe I did spend a lot more time in Mementos than I thought? I don't know. As always, I guess YMMV. FWIW, 200k seems like a decent but not extremely high chunk of change.

Theres a book ingame where if you read it, more information about each flower appears when your trying to create the bouquet

You need a lot of money for a ton of things in the game anyway, so if you don't break the money system early in the game, you're going to be annoyed anyway. The economy isn't particularly unbalanced towards Persona cost at all.

It's not just Mementos either, it's about know how to get the most out of the options in the game. Doing the Sun Confidant early on is the best way to maximize the amount of money you can get from a given run in a Palace or in Mementos. It's all about the shake down. Hold them up and keep pressing them!

I have definitely done this a lot.
I think I once help up the same shadow like 4 times and just said "gimme the money" and "you can do better" over and over until they got mad and attacked. It stopped when they finally left on their own after giving me some of the cash. I think I made 50-60K Yen on that one fight alone. And this was relatively early on as well.

Money is highly abusable. I recommend everyone do it as soon as possible. It makes the rest of the game much easier.
