It's by design, I feel. The bonus interviews state that they wanted to emulate the feeling of a conversation as close as possible, and real dialogues can indeed be interrupted by somebody suddenly blurting out or something else happening.

If there's something a person really want to say, they'll usually continue it with variations of "anyway, what was I saying?" after the tangent is over.
yeah, it's less about ur dialogue choices and more about invisible dialogue starters that you trigger by walking too much

like now i basically let every conversation play out before moving cos i kept skipping parts of the dialogue that way

game is really cool btw, liking everything about it a lot

Guess whose birthday it is?!

That's right. It's Milamber's.

And also some other guy's. So enjoy some games from genres that I'm known for!

Wish I could have amazing dozens-of-games giveaways but alas, you'll just have to settle for a handful of cheap, but GOOD, ones. Please play 'em if you get 'em. :)
Happy birthday mate

I have finished The Room Two, I am playing through Technobabylon, and I will give a try at Grim Legends. Any other recommendation of good HOG? It is for a friend. 😉

Happy birthday!

Happy birthday!

Other good HOGs include Abyss: The Wraiths of Eden (aka Bioshock: the Hidden Object Game,) Nightmares from the Deep: The Cursed Heart (2 and 3 are also pretty good,) if you want something darker, there's Brink of Consciousness: Dorian Gray Syndrome, and if you want something campier, there's Paranormal State: Poison Spring.

That's a good start.

It kinda reminds me of the Castlevania games for Gameboy Advance

Looks pretty good. It's kinda weird to call that game a "metroidvania" when it's very clearly in the "Castlevania" camp - backdashing, name of monster given when you attack it, even the fonts - and not so much in the "Metroid" one.

Well the former were elements introduced in SotN, hence the metroidvania term.

i think my favorite thing about oxefree is how well it straddles the line between campy horror and more light hearted teenager drama

i don't particularly enjoy how it controls but i just really like these characters and their interactions and the story is also really intriguing

What? How did they manage to mess it up so badly?

I asked Kaldaien if the data he has there is correct, according to him:

Relatively. It's as accurate as NVIDIA wants it to be for game developers. They _do_ support checking the status every frame but strongly discourage doing this because it causes performance problems. Thus, I only check for changes in status once every 1/2 second. It's not surprising that Atelier Sophie is unsupported. It's got fullscreen issues and desktop G-Sync is a complete crapshoot (part of the reason I added the DWM Tearing option).

Dusk Golem

A 21st Century Rockefeller
Do anyone know how The Forest has evolved since launch, or has it just silently been dropped?

It gets updated every two or so weeks, and not just small updates. It still is very much in early access, but it's been maybe one of the best supported early access games ever. They have a timer on the main menu when the next update will occur (not hotfixes), do about two a month, and updates always add something new, add fixes, etc.

It does still have a ways to go still though, I played it with a couple friends a month or so ago. Very fun, but don't expect it to go bug-free.

Apparently, Atelier Sophie does not support G-Sync. Like, at all...
gj Kecmo.
Having read this article, about how they had to port FF7, essentially having to reprogram everything in Direct3D without any documentation, I'm amazed that any JRPG from an insular development studio (so essentially everything from Japan) runs on the PC without hard crashes and causing blue screens. Was this also out-sourced to a team in the West?
Expecting them to also follow best practices is just pushing it.

gave away the keys to the kingdom.
I want Persona 4/5 and FFXV on Steam. :(

The latter is a certainty. The former two aren't going to happen until Sega decides to stop treating Atlus like some sort of R*esque golden goose and flexes its parent company muscle.

I'd say all of these are just a matter of time.

FFXV will probably be announced once they finished the console version with all updates and DLC's

Persona happens whenever ATLUS starts living in 2010, so that might still take a decade or two

FFXV will come once they're finished with the DLCs and patches.

P4 can be played on the PS2 emulator and P5 will probably be playable on the PS3 emu within the next year.
That's the closest we'll get for PC version until Atlus management changes or Sega flexes their muscles and stops treating them like a special snowflake. ...But that also requires Sega Japan to change their thinking, so eh.

More importantly though, I want World of Final Fantasy.

I don't see how ATLUS relative Independence should matter when Sega isn't putting their own games on PC (except Sonic)

Final Fantasy XV is Final Fantasy, it'll come

Seems Sniper GW3 has issues where save data gets deleted :/
Gonna wait a while before going through it in this case.

The keys wouldn't be entirely useless to people outside of the listed countries as they'd be able to play game as usual after using a VPN to activate it. There's no runtime-level restriction or limited language selection.

You should keep this avatar for a while. It gives all of your replies an added smugness.

Sega actually generates a plurality of their revenue, if not the majority, from PC.

They released a PC exclusive literally this week.

You know I'm talking about the Sega JP stuff

SEGA Europe are great on PC but that's not doing much in getting the other side here too
