Yeah, every time I look at it it feels like I'm watching it in slow-motion. But to be fair, the developers claim that this is still in early alpha and they even advise against buying the founders edition if you expect it to be a remotely polished game.

Is anybody playing Berseria? Does the combat get more difficult/deep?
Because for now all you have to do is spamming the same attack and finish devouring the first enemy and then you can keep devouring the others.
Also I liked in Zestiria the fact that if you hit a weakness of an enemy the subsequent attacks were more powerful, now it doesn't seem the case

I assume the game was played in higher difficulty. It seems kinda hard to input correct button in correct time

No, definitely not. In fact, 56 Celsius under (full?) load is what I'd consider pretty damn cool. My 280X is around 40 idle and around 70/75 when under full 100% load. I have the card for around three years and I haven't had a problem with it yet.
Generally everything under 80 is perfectly fine, and usually (although it depends on the card of course) around 85 has never been a big problem for me too. Above 89/90 is where I'd start getting concerned.

My fans don't even kick in until my GPU breaches 60, and I only get stressed when they reach mid 80s.

somewhat the same here. 0% fan speed for < 50c, then in steps of 10% per 5 degrees, so that's 20% for 60+, 40% for 70+ and 60% for 80+
and finally (though this never happens) 100% for 90+

How do I control when my fans in my computer should kick in?
You don't really need to mess with voltages if you want a small overclock. Just crank up the clocks ~20 mhz at a time until you start experiencing artifacts/glitches or crashes. At that point add 5 mhz to the last stable clock each test to find your highest stable OC. You are probably going to want to do it individually for core clock and memory clock.
You can set a custom fan curve in afterburner.

It's been a while since I've posted impressions! Blame work, clicker games and Dragon Quest VII on the 3DS (which I've now finished. Not sure if I want to do any post-game stuff or move on to DQ VIII, which I also have.) ANYWAY. Thanks to bobnowhere's birthday gift, here are some impressions for The Esoterica: Hollow Earth:
The story: The year is 1920. You play Stephanie Stone (a pornstar name if ever there was,) granddaughter to Professor Stone (I think they gave him a first name, and I'm pretty sure it was Alistair? Not a very memorable character,) who discovered that there was a secret advanced civilization underground, but is running into trouble from - who else? - Germans. The default villain race for any story. At any rate, you're sent a message from your grandfather and have to go rescue him from the Germans, and find the civilization named Agartha, or...something.
I'll level with you here. The story was half-baked even for a hidden object game. It felt like not even they knew what they were going to do with it, and it was kinda hard to follow, partly because...
The dialogue and voice acting: For some reason, the voice acting utterly stops about halfway through the game. Did they run out of money? Did they decide the voice acting just plain sucked, because the actor playing the Russian guy pronounced "passage" to rhyme with "massage?" Or because the protagonist screams like she saw a mouse, rather than screaming like she's falling through a fissure in the earth that opens at her feet?
The dialogue is riddled with spelling errors. My favourite is near the beginning, where Stephanie says "I must go do England immediately." I guess when you have a porn name like Stephanie Stone, you'll make Freudian slips like wanting to "do" England. Also, the writers definitely didn't do the research. Upon reaching England, she points out that "hardly anything has changed since 20 years ago." Seriously? Nothing changed between 1900 and 1920? The effects of a world war? The fact that the number of cars on the road has increased roughly a thousandfold? Yeesh. She also says that once the international community learns of the new civilization, "they will have no choice but to defend Agartha." Really. The same country that looted ancient Egyptian artifacts and were putting mummy wrappings in their tea at about that time would have no choice but to defend a civilization. Pretty naively optimistic there, Steph.
Overall, the dialogue is weak and the voice acting is only half there.
The gameplay and puzzles: I ran into a hidden object scene where I could click and click on the correct object and it wouldn't work. I had to restart the game for it to register. The hitboxes were way too fiddly in this game. They required near-pixel perfection. The connect-the-dots puzzle was one of the most tedious puzzles I've ever played in an HOG, if not THE most tedious. (Rotate a ruler to go between two dots, then click both dots with high levels of precision. Why is the ruler needed at all? Why not just allow me to click one dot then drag to the other one?) A lot of the puzzles required manipulation of small bits, so it could get frustrating. My favourite puzzle in this game came near the beginning, where you had to do one of those "repeat the musical pattern" things playing jazz pan flute. It went at a decently fast clip so it actually sounded like music. But that was only one diamond in a field of crap. The most bizarre one? Having to complete some embroidery. Bitch, your grandfather's in trouble. Save your pioneer-era hobbies for some other time!
It should be noted that one achievement - for viewing all the cutscenes without skipping - appears to be bugged. The developers have been aware of it for at least a month but it's not fixed yet. I had to download someone else's save to get this one.

Being a game set in 1920, it had art deco all up ins, always nice to see. And Stephanie was pretty cute, even though they didn't resort to giving her flapper-girl outfits.
The length: According to my profile, 3.8 hours. So about average for this type of game. It did pad out a bit because the minigames took a long time to complete: like you get the idea but you still have to go through all the motions to finish it.
The verdict: This game looks and feels rushed. Buggy scenes, broken voice acting, and ending that's barely there and doesn't really make any sense, no QA to say "hey, this minigame sucks," all point to "we gotta shovelware this out the door." As such, I can't recommend it. It had potential, but they blew it big time.

Any site where I could check good start base for my GTX 1070 (Founders with Dual fan)? I just did +100/150 and raised power limit to 105%, got 3 fps increase in Stormblood benchmark.

I'm building a new PC tomorrow. How do I backup my save files?

Also i really wouldn't mess with the power limiter, especially at that OC, leave it at 100%. If you plan to OC further OR if you start to notice that your GPU is throttling (underclocking or undervolting), i would raise it, but to be safe not past ~115%.
Had to refund Bayonetta because it ran like crap on my toaster. Even putting it to low settings and 720p I was getting like 10 fps. Seems like this is something that will be patched though.
Bought Deadly Premonition. Crashes after the first cutscene even with DP fix and other things I tried to fix it. Refund. Bought Elder Scrolls Online. Surely this game will run, the requirements are not demanding at all. Render device not found. What the fuck. Refund. Bought Little Nightmares. Won't start. God damn it. Refund. The sad life of a toaster owner. I also don't want to keep refunding games all the damn time because eventually Valve is going to be like enough is enough. Oh well at least I own a PS4 so I can still play some of these games.

But these other OC pics have it at 112%, I didn't mean Power limit but target, not sure if they're same thing.
And yes, GTX 1070 starts thermal throttling pretty early, it tries to keep thermals under 73C for me. I've read this is normal though without OC. I guess I should set fan speed manually?

The Sexy Brutale is a very cool game, the only downside is that the puzzles are kind of too easy and telegraphed.
But the artstyle is great and there could still be a lot of potential in this concept.
With some refinement and additions (like for example lettung you use disguises to blend in with guests and hitmen) they could turn it into a reverse Hitman where your job is to save people from hitmen in creative ways. The game is already that in concept, but there is pretty much only one solution for every puzzle and it could really use some variety in the way you tackle your targets.
Oh yeah and the music is great as well.
But the artstyle is great and there could still be a lot of potential in this concept.

What is annoying is when a game doesn't have steam cloud and game save manager doesn't recognize the game yet.
Example of no steam cloud but game save manager being able to recognize the save is DS3.

I am late to bayo on steam, how was the reaction? I remember people wanted that badly on pc.
Partition Master/Magic can do this, but I'm not sure if the option is available in the trial versions.
An update was released a couple of days ago. It didn't improve anything, but it counts!

On Windows 10? There's an option to shrink and extend partitions in the Disk Management section of Computer Management (Start > Windows Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Storage > Disk Management). I have no idea how good it is, or if it would work for you, though.
Disk Management is a case of "So close yet so far". You can gain unused space by shrinking a partition, but it can only be used to extend that same partition, not another.

I'm not s ure why, there's something in the Steam cloud feature that pushed me to turn it off back then. Then I just forgot about it altogether.
I can run the Outlast 2 demo decently. Mad Max and Shadows of Mordor ran smooth at medium settings. Metal Gear Rising ran smooth. It's not quite a toaster but a really old rig. I guess my luck ran out with the release of these newer games. Overwatch runs really well thankfully.
Well I already beat the game, but I hope stuff like the MSAA bug is actually fixed for hardcore Bayo fans and AMD owners. Seems like Platinum is trying to patch it in one go.

I remember it used to hang sometimes and lock up Steam when uploading but I haven't had that issue in at least a few years.
Bloodborne, Horizon: Zero Dawn and Persona 5 are worth it. I mean, yeah, that's another 130, but even if you don't buy another PS4 game, you'll have got your money's worth.

Nioh, Yakuza 0, Gravity Rush 2 and the Last Guardian. PS4 has got some really good games.

Yeah, you can set a custom fan curve in afterburner. Sometimes the default fan curves are stupid.
