Forgotten Games In Need of Sequels

We've all played little known hidden gems; games that you loved that never became super popular, games that need a sequel.

Cubivore

Easily one of the most bizarre titles from the GameCube. Cubivore has a strange feel to it that no other game has really given me since. Its mechanics and general style would work very well on the Switch, I feel.

Sonic Battle

One of my all-time favorite GBA titles, which got hundreds of hours of playtime from me. Sega could create a sequel with many more characters than the original, and I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Gotcha Force

Probably the least likely of my choices to return, and one of my favorite GameCube titles. Gotcha Force is a blast to play, and I believe it could take off if it were revived today.

What are your gems you'd like to see return?

Creaking

He touched the black heart of a mod
Shadow of Rome. A remake would be fine too. Hell, even a remaster. I just want a bloody gladiator game with combat mechanics that are deeper than a street side puddle.

Giants: Citizen Kabuto

Super goofy, but fun to play in all its weird FPS, TPS, racing, base building glory.

Gladius. I'd love a gladiator themed SRPG from a western developer but Lucasarts isn't going to do it.

Also, Outlaws from Lucasarts. So many good IPs in that company.

Viewtiful Joe 2's climax:

"Lo, a sweet-ass lookin' castle! Earth's last big threat lies therein, you say? Home to an enemy beyond our imagination, no less?"

"And this radical katana-wielding dude is part of our crew now too?!"

*Capcpom churns out two shitty spin-offs instead after an already underwhelming (to put it lightly) sequel, buries franchise*

This too. Thanks Blizzard for cockblocking this.

Something I always found weird was the Cubivore trophy in Melee. Why that game in particular?

EDIT: YES; Meteos needs a sequel yesterday.

Smash Bros. has always referenced minor Nintendo published series/games through trophies. Melee, Brawl and Smash 4 have trophies based on Wonderful 101, Doshin the Giant, The Last Story, Chibi-Robo!, among others. Cubivore isn't really that special.

To counter this point: Cubivore had not been released yet when Melee launched.

Well, Animal Crossing wasn't released in the west other when Melee came out, and it too got trophies.

They were just advertising some upcoming games, hence why their "First Appearance" descriptions just said "Future Release". Cubivore came out in early 2002 in Japan and wasn't that well received, so Nintendo abandoned plans of releasing it in the west, but then Atlus stepped up to the plate and got it localized.

I'd love to see a sequel to this game, but I don't ever think it will happen since as far as I can tell PixelArts hasn't made anything significant since. I don't even know if they are still around any more. :/

I might be alone on this but I would kill for a sequel to Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis. It'll never happen but I can dream :(

Yeah, I know Cubivore didn't do so hot sales wise. I've just always had a soft spot for it.

Mischief Makers. I need more SHAKE SHAKE.

I'm still waiting for the Psi-Ops sequel, but considering the current state of Midway...

I'm curious who owns the IP at this point. I think I heard there's some kind of freeware PC version out there somewhere.
