Nah, you don't play a trailer at Dreamhack. You play a character teaser at the end of Dreamhack. Like Akuma got another CPT Premiere event.
Yeah I like A3 but the isms were so busted and unbalanced. I want Eagle in SFV.
I'm on holiday in Spain so I missed out buying the stage too lol. But I'm been catching up on some Twitch streams in my downtime and it looks freaking gorgeous.

The other part is I really, really like the theme that plays on that stage. Like a lot. Looks like Russia's Halloween stage theme has finally been dethroned (yes i'm one of those people.

FYI - not saying theres gonna be a teaser tomorrow. My buddy basically assured me the trailer was coming this week, but obviously marketing/copy is in a weird place since everything has been pushed. Still, the marketing guide is tease -> reveal trailer w/blog-post breakdown. Every character for S2 has followed this format thus far, Ed will be no different.
I mean Islamic verses in a Thailand temple stage aside I thought the theme was great. Hope they sort that out really soon.

Yeah, you just edit out that beginning part and the theme is fire. I hope it doesn't take forever to fix.

I would love to see how they would re-do Honda. I want Hakan back too. Bring the big bodies.
Honda had a mid life crisis. Stopped sumo and got in shape. Looks like Daimon. Rides ww2 era motorcycles and fights like a hooligan.

If there's going to be a bonus character this year we'll find out in June or July so it's just a matter of time.
However, we should abandon this thought because we're dealing with Capcom and hope is the enemy of happiness.

In the newest episode of Excellent Adventures, FChamp said the exact same thing I've been saying in this thread. That FANG players don't think that the character is that bad.
I've said it before that the character's moveset is viable and that his S2.5 buffs are gonna make him a legitimately fun character to play with solid normals. His damage output is still lacking but he's not gonna be stuck in the dumpster like Alex, he's not the worst character in the game or unviable if you're willing to play with a lower-tier.
Though Alex was born in a dumpster so it doesn't make much difference to him.

Agreed. My FANG is not good but I love to play him cause I find him really fun.
But Alex is not stuck in just some random dumpster! He's stuck in a nice silver garbage pail biding his time until season 3.

F.A.N.G's cr.mk is just the G.O.A.T button.
Great AA, great frametrap (+3 oB), hits twice, cancellable on first hit, doesn't have that much recovery, decent range, easy to hit-confirm off of on CH.
It's also a great reactionary button on a dash, especially against Bison. You see them dash toward you and just press cr.mk. It's startup and active frames just make it ideal for that situation since there's little chance that you'll miss or get hit in the startup unless you were too slow.
The whole reason FANG sucks right now is cause his cr.mp is 7-frames instead of 6 and his st.mk is 6-frames instead of 5. Those two buttons alone make a world of difference. Both of that are gonna be rectified in the next patch, and his st.hp is gonna be reduced to 7-frames to boot. So now he's actually gonna have a CC fishing button!

He hasn't been unveiled yet. The only reason we even know it's Ed is because of a mistake from Sony and they updated the name on the Season Pass store description accidentally.
He's probably gonna be unveiled this week, as he's gonna be playable along with the new season's balance patch changes in a beta for the new servers/CFN. The beta's gonna be PC-only but available for free for everyone.
I believe Capcom is just overly cautious when buffing characters that are frustrating to fight against (zoners) and characters who have mechanics they, as developers, don't have a lot of experience with (poison). I feel FANG was designed to be low tier because they were terrified that a slight nudge in a single area could make him a nightmare to play against. So I'm not that surprised if he has the potential to be secretly good.
Alex is in a similar boat because his design concept is that he does everything but chuck plasma so they make him worse than he needs to be because they're afraid a slight buff somewhere could tip him over into being dominant. And since Alex has never been good in any game they really don't have a barometer to measure against when balancing.
