Can't wait. FOV slider is a godsend.

Any news regarding combat music and objective markers? I need toggles!

gsstaff already said this in regards to audio issues:
Morning update (just got to the office)
We've been actively reading your thread and feedback (thanks!), and the issues concerning audio will be addressed in the release version of the game. Likewise, the reported PS4 controller lag you're experiencing is addressed. To the latter, I covered in a previous thread:

As you have other questions, we'll do our best to assist. Thanks!

As for objective markers, it should be fair to assume there'll be one for Prey.

Looks like it will unlock at 10PM in my timezone, and I took next Friday off by chance.

This should be good.

nice and light system requirements, should be able to crush this on my rig

Not to make an example of you, but this sort of thinking is exactly what leads to erroneous labels of poor PC versions. (Hello, Quantum Break.) There's no standard that prescribes a specific meaning to "minimum" and "recommended". They literally mean nothing more than "You can run this game" and "You can run this game with more bells and whistles", respectively. That's it. Nothing more, nothing less, unless explicitly defined otherwise.

Presuming the reason behind the exclusion of the Demo for the PC is due to the fear of having the DRM cracked, can't they just release a Demo without the DRM?

Or is the DRM so deeply ingrained within the game that it will be a notable resource consuming effort?

Well it'll have Denuvo so there's that.

Plus a lot of devs and pubs don't like PC gamers datamining demos for spoilers and posting em all over the net.

To quote myself:

Optimistically: Bethesda doesn't want people data mining or crackers tearing away at Denuvo.

Pessimistically: The PC port sucks, which is what most people are going to assume after the mess that is and continues to be Dishonored 2. But, hey, [Steam] refunds.

PC pre-load is live. 18GB install/17.4GB download.

Edit: Also, a reminder that the game unlocks first in AU/NZ:

VPN instructions will be in the PC performance thread, which will go up come unlock o'clock.

To quote myself:

I see, interesting. I was also contemplating whether data-mining was also concern. I feel that they're concerned about that as-well as the DRM.

I don't really suspect that the PC version of the game is going to be bad port, however it will be interesting to see how it turns out.
