I really gotta give Capcpom props for this decision. I imagine a lot of the more "casual" players might not be happy with this.

Seems more like the opposite, it's the old guard who don't like when you mess with traditional controls. Casuals are probably gonna see "no motion" and rejoice.

As an old guy...this.

It's always the people invested into the competitive scene that are against anything they see as "dumbing down" a game. It doesn't matter what it is, how inane the change, or if they haven't seen it in application yet.

Appearance of being seen as easier = Bad

But it's not even easier, it's just different. I really like that they're experimenting and going for diversity.

UGGHH, this game is like an incredibly hot but unstable girlfriend.

I wonder if all his buttons have TAP power levels.

Also his battle costume is godly.

This is the first new character since necalli I went " This character speaks to on multiple levels"

Yep.

I'm curious to see how intuitive it is myself. Seems like a lot to keep tabs on combowise.

True. Could be "simple yet difficult." Hell, Ed might be a main for me.

Azam is a really boring character anyway. He's another butler and a grappler. He's just a red herring, IMO.

I wonder if this season we'll actually get a completely new character we've never seen before in any shape or form. I guess the last guy could be a total newbie.

Not terrible. But doing that in the heat of battle or the middle of a combo, or fuck, even chaining shit in the middle might be hard for me.

He'll be interesting, I wish the beta had a training mode because I don't really want to just queue up to fight randoms with a character I have no idea how to play.

Thanks, ugh blocked at work. Thanks though. I'll find a way.

Basically, only his CA is a regular qcf qcf punch command.

All other moves either require 2 buttons of the same type (kick + kick, punch + punch) to do a special move, a f+mp that's apparently a special, and holding down a button and letting it go (think Birdie's bullhorn) to do a move.

If you press all 3 punch or kick buttons at the same time, you get an EX version of the move. And you can apparently hold down his V-skill too.

I realize this is Ed city but jw who you guys would recommend I try playing after coming from SFIV and only really playing Rose. Seems like there maybe aren't any characters that play similarly to her in V?
