I have always liked Vinny, but I never understood his mythical status among some fans. However, after watching his Hitman Sheikh run and some of the insane shit he has already brought to PUBG, I get it now. For whatever reason, when that guy is involved, magic/insanity happens.

That Playstation VR shooter doesn't look very good. But I'd seriously consider getting that zapper and headset if Sega, Namco, Konami, and all the rest port their lightgun games. I want a virtual reality Revolution X cabinet.

Farpoint is decent, but that's more due to the Aim than the actual quality of the game. The Aim is a great piece of kit. Can't wait to play Arizona Sunshine with it.

Oh trust me.

His reputation started waaaaaay before any of that.

He's known as Vinny "ultimate QA" Caravella for a reason.

Crypt is great, hell yeah Brad!

I wanna get PUBG but I know my experience will just be constantly being killed by unknown people

There will be lots of death when you are getting started but that just makes those moments where you feel yourself getting better with the mechanics very satisfying. And at least going out with a couple of kills under your belt before you get got.

I'm more concerned about spending forever wandering a pretty empty land.

Only reason I haven't gotten PUBG so far is because the buildup looks really boring.

For me, that build up is a big part of the intensity. You need that feeling of isolation, being surrounded, and scraping every thing together. But, if you want to go action jackson from minute one, you can just drop at the fist major city and there will almost always be a dozen or two other people right there. Bum rush to weapons, tons of chaos. There are so many ways to play the game and still be effective. You can win by killing 15 people, but you can also win by never firing a shot or picking up a single item. You can get it pretty cheap with a GMG coupon. I highly recommend it. It has it's early access jank, but god damn is it a fun and thrilling game.

I think PUBG will ultimately be the kind of game that I get my fill of by watching others play, kind of like Overwatch during my fleeting interest in it. Too busy to jump in and sort of feel the zeitgeist will have moved on by the time I might be able to try it.

Nah I get the buildup is integral to it working , I just don't know how well it'll work for me over repeated sessions.

Still, tekken 7 coming soon, so that will be my mutli game for awhile. Might cop PUBG on steam sales though.

I am going to make it through this year if it kills me
I hope the next PUBG video is of better quality. The most recent one was not very fun to watch.

Unless the devs give better quality spectating options, or a more accurate stream of spectators; this won't happen.

I'll be satisfied with multi-person spectate (among squads, of course).

I feel off Beast in the East around episode 8-ish. Should I watch every episode to catch up, or are there skippable ones?

You can trace his greatness back to when he took The Hotspot over.

Of all the LTTPs, this is probably the worst one to be late to.

The first 45 seconds or so of this video is a pretty good representation of why Vinny is so admired.

Or this.

Maaan Crypt is not even that hard to do All Zones, I beat the daily challenge probably 10-15% of the time and thats doing a single attempt a day. For comparison I've put dozens of hours into Gungeon and never gotten to level 4

EDIT: Not to downplay the challenge but when you know what you're doing it is very very easy to play Crypt "safely" even if you aren't totally efficient

I mean, you're not wrong in a general sense, but on the other hand:

A) it's Brad, and
B) how long did it take you to get to the point where you knew what you were doing.

I don't know what's worse.
That this rat game gets its own QL instead of a UPF segment or that this game gets any attention at all.

If I watch one episode of Beast in the East each day, I can be caught up in... a bit under two weeks. It'll feel like an Endurance Run until I'm caught up and then I get to forget about it for another few months knowing that once per week for a game this long is going to last them until long after Kiwami comes out.

I'd rather throwaway games be in QLs I can easily skip whole cloth than be in UPFs that I have to skim through.

Breaking Brad is back you fuckers! Goddamn yes!

About time! Been waiting for that sweet Brad content for a while. The Beast coast has found a way to consistently knock out content and a continuing video series is great. Still don't know why they don't do an Endurance Run. I wonder if traffic is higher for Quick Looks of random Steam / indie games than a longer running series of a popular game that their fans demand.
