Injustice 2 |OT| Grodd's Among Us

Does Black Canary have any other jackets aside from variations of the leather one she starts off with and the padded long sleeved one?
There are a few others but they mainly look the same. The most different looking one is the Biker one that has spikes/metal on them.
Isn't there a limit on the number of times you can beat it?

It says 20 times for the boss, but I'm not entirely sure. 20 is the requirement for the objective of the Guild Multiverse, it could ALSO be the hard limit for how many times it can be done.

I'm so glad they give you the ability to jump characters to 20 once you do your first. I'll grind a few, but no way I'm doing it for every character I'm interested in.

I think it was locked because it was beaten the max times when I tried to enter it.

Yeah, I have the studded biker type ones too.
I was hoping they'd have something resembling her Justice League Unlimited outfit. I have the stockings with the small high heel boots, and I was hoping for something that was more like a short open shirt/light jacket to go with it.

Ahh then it's most likely limited.

Also unrelated but how have you been liking the game so far? I remember that you were really untrusting of NRS' statements that the gear would not be easier to obtain for people who payed, back during the Roster Speculation thread.

Sadly, way too much of her gear looks too darn similar.

Seeing Joker get a different haircut with his head gear makes me wish that Poison Ivy and Black Canary could get such gear too.

Jesus Christ.

I've been playing FGs for years, yet I still get nervous going online. What the hell. Heart was beating like a mofo and my hands were slightly shaking. Even when I do well, this happens sometimes, I don't bloody understand.

Just had a really close game with a good Flash player and I feel like I'm about to have a damn heart attack.

I know that feeling. This happens to me too if I haven't played a fighting game online in a long time (months or year, it happens). I guess it's the competitive aspect of it.

I applied for the Guild about 11 hours ago, do I need to do anything else o get accepted?

As long as you put in your GAF username or PMd the owner with your PSN/XBL, it should be fine.

It is manual though, so they may just not be at their console right now.

Any sales on this game yet? Budget is a bit tight but my friend has been having a blast with the game.

I'm not big into fighting games, mainly because I suck at them. How is this one for newcomers?

The guild 1.5x gold earning multiplier is crazy. Doesn't seem like much, but I'm basically drowning in bronze boxes now. It'd take me hours to buy and open them all.

No, it's only been a week and this game isn't a gigantic sales failure.

I'm enjoying the heck out of it, but mostly on a surface level so far. I really have yet to feel like I've been putting much time into playing it. That happens a lot with NR games. I get hung up on unlocking and getting single player stuff done first, but it takes so long, I get far behind, and they end up just being single player affairs. Happened with the first one with all the STAR labs stuff, but this one has decent online (I've yet to play online though outside of the beta), so I just need to jump in soon. Learning all the strings makes them a bit harder and more intimidating for me to go online unlike SF.
I also still have some fits with the motions in NR games.

I feel like the gear grind is going to get old really fast. They of course grossly exaggerated the number of pieces, It's a decent amount of in-game stuff compared to most base fighters, but saying "thousands" (based on different stat combos) was pretty silly. The colors are way overpriced to purchase, but the skins aren't too bad. It could have been much worse. I prefer the packs like they did with I1/MKX. I just want full skin packs now more than the mix and match gear franken-costumes.

So yeah, similar to other NR games, there's stuff I love, but other stuff that frustrates me a ton.

Are you jumping from Guild to Guild man? The Diamond Boxes are finite. Once you take a Guild's 20, there's no more for the rest of the Guild.
Wow, a highway bandit.

I share your sentiments on the gear system, it could have been much worse. It also has room to grow though so I'm excited to see how they expand upon it in the future.

And I'm glad to hear you're enjoying the game.

I picked this up yesterday and I'm really digging it. I didn't play the first one much other than the story mode, but played a decent amount of MKX (mostly SP).

I was wanting a good SP fighting game too add to my slate of pick up and play games now that I've burnt myself completely out on long, story driven games and this scratches the itch nicely as it's fun and has a ton of content.

I just did the first 5 or so story missions, the multiverse tutorials and one portal there and tried out every character quickly in practice mode. Early in I'd say Wonder Woman, Catwoman and The Flash are the ones I'm having the most fun playing as.

The gear system definitely isn't as robust and varied as it was made out to be. I do feel as though I've seen everything there is to see for most characters. I'm still thankful the gear system exists. There's enough there to create your own look, especially when combined with the solid range of shaders. It's a better approach to customisation than simply offering costumes. Many characters didn't receive additional costumes in the first game; this system at least means that every character, no matter how popular, has a variety of appearances.

I'm sure NRS will continue to expand upon the system and introduce new pieces of gear and sets into the loot pool.

I think I need to embrace the fact that Poison Ivy is just not gonna gel with me.

And embrace the fact that there's only one other Green-themed character in the roster that I know and love. Oliver Queen.

Plus I'll actually be maining a husband and wife crimefighting duo so that's neat.

Part of it might have been time constraints. They clearly prioritized the likes of Supergirl, Batman and Harley Quinn. Their gear has a lot of variety, Batman in particular.

If they can add that level of depth post-release to the characters that lack it then it'd make a huge difference.

I need to get some matches in. I have yet to see if Deadshot is really as bad as people say.

I'll probably be over the gear system in a about a week, if they leave it as is, but I get it's mostly there to keep the single player hooks. I do want the abilities for the characters I use sooner rather than later, though.

My hope is they actively balance the gear system and makes QoL improvements as needed over time. It's a reasonable start, and I don't necessarily expect it to be perfect out of the gate when they're juggling so many systems and currencies.

Yeah, it's better than what you get with most fighters, so that's appreciated. I just don't want them to skimp out on full-costume skins where a more cohesive look is important. I need those short shorts and skull-robot Brainiac skins.

Have they confirmed more gear is coming?

I'm looking forward to the final patched version having far better drop rates, better stats on gear and the 'complete edition' won't need source crystals at all. The economy is just not well tuned right now.

They're only getting to keep casuals so hooked, but having a game balanced like a mobile title without even the option to pay is not the way to do it. Double the levelling rates, double the drop rates, increase character bias. Keep source crystals how they are (I'd prefer they didn't but I get it's an income stream). People will be more inclined to spend money on source crystals for stuff like skins and transmog if they've actually got the stats and gear to make it worthwhile.

Yeah, I want to refashion my mains, but I don't want to waste currency before I have the optimal gear.

I don't think they've said it flat out, but I would be honestly surprised if there's not gear added.

They've confirmed that there's going to be events in the game somewhat similar to what they did with MKX and so they'll probably add gear as well as premium skins.

Time constraints seem like a solid explanation. There do appear to be a few gaps in the gear system. It's possible that we also simply haven't seen everything it has to offer, but I'd wager that only a handful of unique pieces and sets are being held back for Multiverse challenges and the like for each character. We were promised a Hood for Green Arrow for example, but it hasn't been seen in game from what I've found across reddit and other communities.

I do have faith in NRS to deliver a wealth of content updates expanding upon the gear system with new pieces of gear and shaders.

Shame it's only possible through a TON of grinding or paying money.

I swear it blows my mind when I see peeps with that many credits, I always have about 10,000 because I spend mine almost immediately.

Early in the game I spent as I got it, but then I just started building it up (prior to learning no matter how much money you have, you can't just buy platinum mother boxes). I was up to 400,000 earlier before I decided to spend some of it.

Was surprised when it said I reached my inventory limit for a character (Superman), it meant I had to go through the inventory and delete a few items (managed to do a few in each category. Mostly of bad designs and the weakest stats-wise)......... Not long after I started getting Superman items I had only just sold off haha.

I wonder how much influence the Profile Level has on the availability of gear. Are there different loot pools for high level profiles? Or does it only affect the level of the gear pieces itself?

I've noticed no differences and I'm at level 46. Maybe more shaders, but that's almost certainly a coincidence.

Only character level affects gear drops afaik.

I'm level 45 but I can't tell as I've been jumping from character to character. I am definitely seeing considerably more special abilities and shaders in Boxes than I did at the beginning, though I'm buying many more now, so maybe it's a coincidence as you said. I had four shaders drop one after another about an hour ago.

Yeah I guess I've had more abilities too. But again, I'm just mashing bronze boxes.

love on your sleeve
I have over 100k in currency. Should I just buy gold boxes?

Waste of coins, buy bronze instead. As frustrated as I am with the Epic Gear drops for characters I don't use, I have gotten a ton of shaders and abilities from opening bronze boxes.
