He'll get impeached if his approval ratings keep going down. Its not even 6 months and he's hitting some insane lows. If the GOP finds its better to dump him then it is to keep him around you bet they'll turn on him. We'll see what the future brings but its been a pretty steady downward spiral for Donny and he's only made matters worse for himself again and again. He's his own worst enemy.

iirc WaPo said a senior administration official was under scrutiny and a reporter said on twitter it was Kushner. At the time no major outlet published it was Kushner, which probably meant that reporter didn't have enough sources/evidence to publish with. Looks like multiple outlets were able to confirm who it was.

I never thought I'd say this, but I think I am feeling fatigued from the leaks. I think part of the problem is that it's unclear what the point of the leaks is right now -- the previous leaks made sense as part of a strategy to push for the appointment of a special prosecutor, but now that we have Mueller, I'm not sure what to do with the new information. It would make sense to start leaking things to prepare the public when indictments are about to drop, but as much as I'd like to believe the Twitter randos, it seems like the consensus is that the investigation will take a long time. So what exactly is the game plan? Leak new details that stop just short of confirming collusion every day for the next year? Even if every Trump staffer met with Kislyak, a leak per staffer probably wouldn't fill up a year...

Nah, more like this and the Sessions detail were fairly expected, minor developments among everything else. These aren't bombshells, they're the small stepping stones between bombshells.

If I had to wager a guess, the IC's plan is essentially "Death by a Thousand Cuts" from the leaks. They're letting loose the floodgates to constantly barrage Trump and sink his numbers as low as possible, and possibly just keep pressuring him nonstop until he caves in and resigns.

However, it might be that they have to back off from the leaks for a while soon, so that the fatigue can wear off and they can then come back strong with more leaks and scandals.
