Where were the Sonic games for Vita?

Not even Sonic Mania comic to Vita. I appreciated Sega's support with Jet Set Radio though. Seems weird when you consider their support for the Wii U

Vita once ment life:(
I guess the Switch sort of replaced it's place.

Edit: Japanese/indie/handheld support wise i mean ofc:p

Sonic Mania isn't coming to Vita because the investment involved in porting it probably isn't worth the Vita's current install base

It is what it is. The Switch is the go-to platform for portable downloadable games now whether VitaGAF likes it or not.

Well, of course they wouldn't put Mania on a long-dead system. They wouldn't put it on the 360 too, would they?

Half- /s

I'm genuinely surprised it didn't get anything, though. Like, not even a collection of the first 2 games/theCD remake? They could have fit the Adventure game remakes there too, right?

EDIT: Damn you, Benny Blanco, now you really are my rival69!

Sonic Racing Transformed was perfect for the Vita.

It's too late for Sonic Mania though. Which would also be perfect for the Vita.

It got racing transformed. I think Mania will be the first sonic game for PS4 and XB1 too
It was basically Nintendo exclusive for the time the Vita had life too.

Sonic games sell well on Nintendo systems, so they still released on Wii U despite poor sales.

Vita didn't have the same precedent.

That and a lot of publishers signed on early because the saw the Wii U's success as a foregone conclusion, which couldn't be said of the Vita. (It was also wrong but that's hindsight for ya.)

It is a bit weird that there wasn't a Sonic game on Vita like there was for every other handheld platform.

The PSP, 3DS, DS and GBA all had exclusive Sonic games made for them.

I understand Sonic Mania not coming now, but it feels like Sega would have released something on Vita. Even ports of the 3DS games but maybe they just didn't think the audience was there.

Isn't the vitas current install base higher than the switches?

Just checked...i never knew vita was such a bomba :/

Had the Switch not existed, I would've hoped for a PS4/Vita Cross-Buy/Save version.

Also, it does bum me out that the Genesis games never got ported to Vita. We got Sonic Classics Collection on DS, but that was kind of a shit show.

What Sonic game came out between 2012 and 2017 that wasn't exclusive to Nintendo platforms that didn't make it to the Vita? Sonic Mania isn't coming to 3DS either anyway. I feel like you made this topic just to troll.

2048 is best racer on Vita, sucks that Mania isn't coming to Vita because I think it'd be a great fit.

I liked 2048. Load times were too long which killed it imo. Sonic Transformed is also a great kart racer but for some reason I never found myself playing more than an hour of it.

Biggest annoyance with SEGA's support on Vita. They brought a few games to the platform but only Sonic Racing and nothing else sucked, more so with how easily it likely could have been to port Sonic CD 2011 or Sonic Adventure 2 HD.

Oh well, at least with the PS4, we could remote play Mania and Forces.

C'mon man, the only Sonic game that could have had any success on Vita would have been a Chao rubbing and touching sim.
