Development started at the end of 2014~start of 2015 before they finished development on X. They made this game so both the fans that enjoy the story of Xenoblade 1 and the exploration of X can both enjoy.

No wonder this actually made it in 2017. Graphics and panoramas look EXACTLY like Xenoblade Chronicles X. It's like they literally copy pasted most of the code into this and just changed the name to Xenoblade 2. But I do hope the combat and story improves over XCX.

The story in X already looks like it's going to shit all over this generic looking JRPG tripe.

IIRC there was mention of this game having the same voice director as Nier Automata and Tales of Berseria, both games having exceptional English dubs.

But what gets me the most is the decision to make the story revolve around the little Naruto brat. I have an irrational hate boner for him and his goddamn face.

So glad it's coming out this year. So happy to have a new Xeno game....

Voice acting is fine. It always sounds a little odd when it's out of context like that.

And the character designs have really grown on me. Rex, Pyra, and Other Sword Girl are my favorites so far.

Voice acting sounds meh, but other than that pretty good! The music was kinda a fake out at the beginning, sounded a bit like Chrono Trigger's main theme, (Looking at you, Mitsuda.) but it sounds pretty good regardless. Though the trailer didn't blow me away, I'm liking it on rewatches - my relationship with Monolith Soft is like my relationship with Game Freak, I always trust that their games are good, so focus on the details rather than on how hyped it makes me. And between the world, characters and plot threads - looking forward to it!
