I really enjoy the story that they told in Miyahara vs. Ishikawa and Miyahara vs. SUWAMA. I wrote about those matches in greater length here and here, respectively, but in short, I like that Ishikawa had Miyahara thoroughly scouted. He could block the Blackout knee and break out of the Shutdown German suplex. He was smart enough to give up the Splash Mountain when Miyahara countered it the first time with a headscissors. On the other hand, Miyahara had no answers for Ishikawa's offense, and that was enough for Ishikawa to beat him.

In the next major singles match, Miyahara tries something new by targeting SUWAMA's arm. However, Miyahara's not a submission specialist, so it's all fairly new to him. This allows SUWAMA to use his power offense to take Miyahara down.

It's a smaller scale version of the story NJPW is telling about the diminishing reliability of Okada's Rainmaker. Miyahara relies heavily on the Blackout knee and Shutdown German suplex, but those moves have been figured out by his opponents. It's now on Miyahara to figure out something new or fall to the wayside.

Just finished Suwama vs Miyahara and I absolutely agree. Loving the booking across the board.

I played that MvC:I demo and was bored to tears. I just don't think fighting games are for me. I loved Injustice 2 though.

It's a horrible demo, don't let it unsell you on fighting games.

You loved Injustice 2 because it's great. I'm not expecting the same love and care put into Marvel Infinite, but I think the final game will be fun to actually PLAY, even if it's ugly as sin.


Dragon Ball Fighterz on the other hand... looks like the perfect game from top to bottom.

Makes me wonder if DBZ got greenlit because they figured they could cater to the crowd wanting Marvel, before Capcom announced Infinite in December

Men's is the main event. Women's starts the PPV. I thought both were great. I can sort of understand why people are upset about it (Women's MITB, I mean), but personally I thought it made perfect sense.
