The most damning thing about The Mummy is the only aspect that approaches so-bad-it's-good territory is Russell Crowe's character.

Battleship was a bad movie, BUT it was fun as hell. ID4-2 is a disaster and it is boring. I'd take 1,000,000 battleships before I take another ID4-2
I blame Netflix. Also there is some comedic quality to these films.

I watched ID4 2 the other night. It's no good. While the original is glib about all the chaos, they really supercharge all that. Like they cut from millions of people dying to Goldblum making a goofy face. And bland pilot's bland comic relief friend is the worst.
