Can I, you know.

Control that manually.

No, sadly not. I think you need to own like 12 games or something for it to unlock and then to open that view you have to go through the first row, click a button and then it pops up with your whole library.

Some additional changes I noticed, sorry if already posted...

Parental Control quick access to Sleep menu
option to prevent Auto Archiving (related to the new "free up space suggestion" feature, I assume
seems to have fixed the Wifi icon (or fixed wifi reception itself, to be confirmed later!)

Felt like the audio was too low on Switch so its' a bummer they lowered it, lol.
Hope they address that in the future

They didn't lower it. It's a setting that lowers it that you can turn on and it's on automatically if you have parental controls on.

"Use the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller via wired communication by connecting the USB charging cable"

Ohhh :O

So what channels are appearing for people? I see:

- Splatoon 2 (in Japanese)
- Voez
- Super Mario Odyssey
- Arms (also Japanese)
- Uhh...that Project Mekuru game?

Unfortunately, I don't think you can have it set for specific users. If one user is following it, then every user sees the news.

Wait, how can you add friends from wii u??
Go to your user page, Friend Suggestions, you'll see a Wii U icon. Just note the user needs to also have a Switch or else they won't appear.

Sounds pretty nice. I'm especially interested in wired controller mode, hopefully someone figures that one out on PC and then I can buy Switch controllers with that in mind.

The controller firmware updates though always get me confused.

dammit! Why couldn't that be increase max volume? :(
Seriously. This is the exact opposite of what I wanted. Playing Zelda on a plane with headphones, I couldn't hear anything from the game. The base max volume is way too low.

So I just updated my Switch.

The new Max Volume is much louder than the old with headphones on. Raising your volume past a certain point prompts a warning about how extended listening might damage your hearing. I assume that the old Max Volume is where it now defaults to when you lower the Max Volume in the settings

tl;dr - The maximum headphone volume has been raised

I have no idea what the point of inverting the display colours is but I like random shit like that.

They should add another grayscale option but use the GB colours, that'd be neat.

that's great, it always seemed a bit quiet with headphones on before.

Wish they'd done something to improve the WiFi a bit. Feels like the even the original DS got better reception...

L A said they apparently did

Small addition but you can now give a "Great!" or "Oh." feedback on news articles, and some show other related videos.
I don't know why, but "oh." is perhaps their funniest/best way of saying "I don't like this"/thumbs down.

I don't know if this was included from the start, but when looking at the play activity for friends, why are certain "played for # Hours" & "first played" highlighted in blue? It's not games that I own because it showed up for ARMS which I don't have.

LOL... knew the response to this one would be huge!

"Update connected controllers
To update, head to System Settings > Controllers and Sensors > Update Controllers"

Interesting, so now controllers can also be updated... I wonder if something like this will ever be implemented for the dock.

What does this mean exactly? I can plug in my Switch pro controller to the bottom of the Switch, undocked?

It means the controller signals are sent over the cable instead of still using bluetooth while charging from the dock.

This is probably something to do with allowing cabled controllers in the future.

Oh my god, the sound through the audio jack is so much louder. Best feature of this update!
