I'm sure 3rd parties feel the same way about Nintendo.
Give them a system powerful enough to port to and they will produce content for them. Other wise, have fun with Mario.
What being cel shaded? 3d models mimicking 2d? It certainly isn't textures or complexity of character models.
Aaaand it's already over 10,000 retweets. I wonder how far it can go.
it just got an article on gameinformer.
Should be getting some more traction with mainstream publications like this or kotaku/polygon/etc, which will hopefully follow.
Our Take
The Switch's power has been much discussed in relation to the other current-gen consoles; it's nice to know that it's not standing in the way of a Dragon Ball FighterZ port. If anything, the interview reads as a request for Nintendo fans to speak up if they're interested in playing it. I'm guessing they are, and that they will.
It seems to imply that "Nintendo fans" are the only ones buying or interested in a Switch, and that it's impossible that gamers of all stripes would want a fighting game on a portable device. It's rather reductive.
Yeah that's pretty much any discussion about the Switch. Anyone who owns one and wants games for it is automatically branded a "Nintendo fan", as if the only way anyone would enjoy the Switch is for fanboy reasons. Naturally anyone who owns Nintendo hardware has to have some degree of interest for Nintendo, but it's a dumb false equivalence regardless. Kinda condescending as well.
didn't Nintendo release a "zelda box" in march? to then add mario kart a month later? that's as Nintendo as you can get. If someone already has one, it's fair to assume that they are a Nintendo fan, no?

The end of the article is a bit shit, though:

This.Crazy that we have to literally beg for it. It's almost demeaning, especially if this trend continues.
It's a Namco thing. They asked us to beg for Soulcalibur 5 and despite its strong sales they they asked us to again beg for a Soulcalibur sequel.makes no sense that it isn't on switch.
I don't see why people have to beg for it. ridiculous.
I wouldn't call retweeting a post or saying you are interested in a Switch version begging... Then again we are on GAF, where pretty much everything counts as begging.makes no sense that it isn't on switch.

They won't announce anything until you guys buy Xenoverse 2...
I guess it won't happen then.
People who own or hope to own a Nintendo Switch have seen DBFZ and that is what's in demand now. No one should have to beg or plead with a developer to release content on a platform. Just do it or don't. It's that simple. Fuck Bamco or any game developer that treats potential customers is such a way.

They know there is demand. Twitter initiatives don't amount to dick.

It's kind of hard to gauge interest for a title on a brand new system coming off of the Wii U.Crazy that we have to literally beg for it. It's almost demeaning, especially if this trend continues.

Things will be looking better next year.
The thing with the Switch is that it isn't attending to a specific market as before. It's taking a bite out of pretty much every market, which puts it in a weird position or not knowing the audience. It may be a successor to both the Wii U and 3DS, however that's a horribly way to tell if how a Dragon Ball game will sell. I wouldn't doubt if they were intending on greenlighting the game after XV2 launches in the Fall. It's also a new system coming off the 3DS...

No shit. How many games have we been told to beg for at this point?
Dragon Ball FighterZ
Disney Afternoon Collection
MegaMan Legacy Collection 2
Right? While Namco is listening, can we get Code Vein next?

Either way, ill join in.
Guess it could happen. Characters aren't all that high poly and the scenery isn't very detailed. But there can be 4 characters on screen at times, that's a taller order than Xrd running on the PS3.
Why are people doubting that the game can run on the switch due to "how advanced it is"? It's an Unreal Engine 4 game (if it runs on the same engine as Guilty Gear Xrd) and there's nothing in there that's impossible for the Switch
Get your facts straight before doing your usual trolling.
If it releases on the switch, I'll double dip for DBZ on the go
Well we've already seen a game that had 8 characters on screen at times with lots of items flying everywhere in Sm4sh on the Wii U so it's not like that's anything impressiveGuess it could happen.
