Transformers: The Last Knight |SPOILER THREAD| The worst movie about cars this year

Optimus prime shot a human with a transformers gun in one of the movies. I had to blink several times to process what happened.

Prime has been evil since part 2.

I am partial to the theory that Prime legitimately is evil in the films, having been driven mad by war, and that it's all on purpose by Bay. Megatron really isn't that bad in the movies either. He's evil, sure, but it's because he wants to save his people and planet which are legitimately dying.

Was there a submarine Transformer? Also, what is that thing rising up out of the ocean that Prime and Bumblebee fight on?

I think they said it was a Transformer in the movie, but it didn't transform or talk. The thing that was rising out of the water was where Quintessa staff was located (Merlin resting place), which was also a ship.

Frasier stuck a gun in Cade Yeager's face. What did he think was going to happen? Optimus looks out for his human buddy Cade Yeager (he never calls him Cade, always Cade Yeager).

Full name only goddamnit

Apparently at one point in the movie Anthony Hopkins looks straight into the camera and says "Isn't it a bitching ride?". :D

Shit at the end of 3, Megatron saves Prime (who has only one arm at this point) from Septimus and legit calls for a truce

Prime's response is to decapitate him

These movies are so fucking bad.

Seeing them in the theater has become a tradition with me and my friends. Sorry folks, I am part of the problem.

Pointless question maybe, but did you... erm... like the film?

Yeah, it was enjoyable. Since I don't really hate the other movies like most people and I know what I was going into. They tried at bit of comedy the scenes that we see the Transformer/robot butler, which kinda work, I laugh at those scenes.

A couple more questions:

What does Megatron...do? The plot doesn't really seem to require him from the way the trailers look.

Does Isabela stick around? I feel like the trailers mostly show her in what seems to be the first half of the film.

Do they explain, at all, anything about the Creators other than Quintessa?

I saw this last night, I thought it was pretty terrible, worst since 2. Normally I can enjoy these movies for the sheer spectacle of them all but this one was way too melodramatic and trying way too hard to create lore that is awful. Huge chunks of the movie are just humans chasing clues and artifacts about nonsense. The transformers history has been rewritten like 5 times already, none of it makes any sense. There is no where near enough transformers on transformers action, way too much focus on humans, more than usual.

And worst of all, that whole ad campaign about
Optimus prime being bad, complete total bullshit, you have seen the entirety of it from the previews alone. Also Optimus is in like 15 minutes of the movie only.

Is "why they keep coming here" because of some sort of innate pull from Unicron?

1. He wants to help quintessa to rebuild cybertron so he is basically her agent to find the staff. He gets help from the government because they want the staff too and he gets to talk to lawyers about getting his deceptions out of transformer jail, all of these decepticons are incredibly racist black stereotypes, no shame what so ever.

2. She disappears for the entire middle of the movie and shows up for the final 30 minutes.

3. No they don't explain anything.

You don't get to bring friends.
Nicest things I can say about the movie:

- the overtime it provided was nice

- internally we dubbed the space stuff in the sky in the third part of the movie as "evil space broccoli"

I legit lol'd reading this

aaaand then I read this. Come on, Bay can't possibly be so ignorant as to do that again, can he?

For someone who's only seen the first in the cinema, how do you people stay awake and engaged through 2.5 hours of this?

Oh good, everyone was really wishing for the return of more racism in these Transformers movies!

This one is just over 3 hours

EDIT: Nevermind, 2 and a half, thank god lol

I am honestly uncertain whether Unicron being Earth is an (awful) explanation for why so much Transformers shit happens on this planet, or if it genuinely makes things worse.

It's probably both.

So I looked up wtf this is because I have no idea about anything Transformers and two things:

1. What the fuck?
2. Someone had a lot of fun with the picture descriptions on the Transformers wiki.

The entire transformers wifi is full of self-deprecating gold. It's the reason why I end up spending more time than I intend to on there. I love that wiki.

Looking for the staff/ helping Quintessa

The kid is just there for like the first and third act.

Don't think so.

Still don't understand why Dark of the Moon wasn't about the Moon being Unicron.

It was right fucking there.

Instead the moon was just the moon and the bad guy was like, a giant robot snake.

Oh no, this sounds legitimately terrible.

I was hoping for funny terrible like RE: The Final Chapter

Because Bay still thought Unicron was stupid and wouldn't be in any of his films. Just like he thought dinobots were stupid, and wouldn't be in any of his films. And here we are.

It was a robot guy controlling a robot snake!

Optimus also let millions of Chicago citizens burn just to prove the Decepticons are evil.

For real. I watched it last night for a movie podcast I listen to and you could have easily cut out all the JFK moon landing shit in the movie's first 10-15 minutes.

I love that Bay thought any aspect of the Transformers was too stupid to adapt to his movies, considering the concept itself is fucking dumb as rocks.

Alien robot trucks from outer space crash land and fight alien robot jets from outer space, but nobody knows about them getting in giant fights because when people are around they just look like normal jets and trucks.

You gotta be a real fuckin' rocket scientist to take a series of toys from the 1980s with that as a premise, aimed squarely at children ages 6-10 (at the most), and pour 150-200mil per film into a series that only barely misses an R-rating every time because the debauched, morality-free violence and carnage on display is being perpetuated by computer generated robots.

Since when was that the plan? I thought they faked their deaths in order to convince the Deceptions that they were dead, and then form a plan to get back at them. The Decepticons actually taking over Chicago and doing other evil shit was just a bonus.

I saw it yesterday, I can tell you that most of this is true. But I don't think he was a descendant of King Arthur. He was just "chosen". I am not sure about the seeking to awaken Unicron part. But we see her in a human form in a post credits scene.

"Ye who cracked open a Bud Light, Ye be Worthy!"

E: I may need to see this just to see a scene where Optimus fucking Prime is negotiating with attorneys.

That got the biggest laugh from me during the Red Letter Media video.

"He was begging for help."
"Then Optimus Prime shot him in the fucking face!"
