Current LMAo not worth a high pick, Spurs should just count their losses there.

Its the same shit with Danny Green. Spurs want assets back for guys everyone else in the league knows they have to dump in order to try to get a guy like CP3. They'll pull it off though because they're the Spurs.

Lonzo is actually better off-ball than Fultz

it would be a great fit with 76ers

not that I think they'd do it

It's not just playing off ball that matters to Philly though. With Simmons and Saric being pass first guys they need another scorer. Fultz is a much better scorer than Ball.

Question is are the Pacers desperate enough to get any return value they can before PG13 walks? And if so, why bite on SA's offerings versus the other teams? That's what I'm having trouble figuring out. But hey, if they have a real shot, cool.

I wonder if other teams are really offering anything because they know he'll leave in a year. Where as the Spurs probably think they can get him to stay with how good they'll be.

Does Paul George leave the Spurs if they win a championship next year?

I would think not. Lakers are gonna have another losing season without PG next year, and maybe even with him. Why leave a championship for that

I mean, if they can trade LMA for Paul George.

They would have no quality bigs though. They're probably losing Dedmon and if they trade Aldridge that's their only two remotely decent defensive bigs gone. As good as George and Kawhi would be together, the Spurs point guard and center positions would be disastrous.

is there anybody desperate enough to want LMA?

I could see the Suns wanting him. At a certain point, veterans are needed ...ones who can play, not just ones who are sitting at the end of the bench. LMA is a great regular season player who can help you get into the playoffs, but as long as he goes up against the more rugged bigs like Z-Bo, Nene, he's going to struggle. From my view, the Grizz have played against LMA 3 straight years in the playoffs (POR, SAS twice) and he always gets off to a hot start, he'll score the first 10+ points of a game, but as the game carries on, he gets worn out from guarding the guy on the other side of the ball, then he tapers off and becomes a non-factor by the time the next half rolls around. He's probably not a top-2 option on a contending team, but he's still a very good player.

Spurs panicking is very unusual. They were 1 bad defensive play from sweeping the WCF now it's like a fire sale. Because the Warriors have a "Big 4" doesn't mean you have to go out and get 4 stars. Stay consistent and it'll work out in the end. Spurs didn't blow up the roster after the 13' Finals.

You can find another remotely decent defensive big. Your not finding a George and there point guard position is ok . You can find a decent point guard to plug in while Murray keeps developing. Now if Patty Mills walks then they're really going to need to address their point guard situation but maybe they can get another George in Hill.

This isn't panicking. We are moving deadweight.

Is trading LMA and possibly green panicking and blowing up the roster?

TT, JR, and Shump

Pop probably wants TT if they're getting rid of LMA

Also TT and CP3 would kinda work together

TT makes a grip tho. With the cap coming in less than expected, of SA really want to try and be players in FA, trading Green for Thompson doesn't help.

If they can resign Mills then maybe, but unless you're swapping George's salary for Aldridge straight up they won't have much cap space to add or keep any of their free agents.

To me the best way the Spurs can improve themselves is to dump Parker and sign CP3. I know that's easier said than done since he's a legend of the franchise but CP3 is a direct upgrade. They also wouldn't have to trade Aldridge and Green who are still impactful starters for them.

We have had this go around before . I dont want cp3 and definitely not over PG.

If that means getting rid of LMA for peanuts I'm good with it.

I'd keep him tbh. The team put all that effort into getting him to replace Tim. He's salty because he's not the end all be all on offense. Shift him to the Center spot and retire Pau.

He doesn't want to play centre and he had a huge cry about even entertaining the thought of it.

I can't wait until they dump him somewhere. Anywhere. I don't want no primadonnas on this team.

Porzingis is the near perfect big man in the modern NBA. Wtf were these last few pages?

All of the true franchise players in NBA history have been 30 ppg scorers. Magic Johnson? Not a franchise player. Bill Russell? Not a franchise player. Hakeem Olajuwon? Not a franchise player. Tim Duncan? Not a franchise player.

Yeah. Mills is probably leaving too. Anyone that follows the Spurs, especially during the Popovich era, knows that a dramatic shift in the roster doesn't work out for a few seasons.

Any team that has a dramatic shift in a roster is going to struggle at first. Losing LMA and possibly green isn't that dramatic. If they can keep Simmons you already have a player better then green and Gasol gives you what LMA did on offense he's just older. Brian Forbes could fill in for the Patty Mills role. In the next few years they should be trying to get younger

I'm not totally sure if he knows that most teams starting 5 are like 6'10 now.

It's not just CP3 or PG13 though.

It's a starting lineup of CP3, Green, Kawhi, Aldridge and Gasol or

Parker, PG13, Kawhi, Bertans and Gasol.

You lose Green and Aldridge most likely to trade for George. Theoretically they would only have to lose Parker to add CP3.

It's a team sport, the Spurs would have to gut their team for George, whereas they could get CP3 without giving up much at all.
