Do you a have personal "command center'?

Although I have a decent TV, which I mostly use for gaming, I rarely use it to watch TV or movies. I prefer my command center, which is made up of 27 inch monitor, GAF one big window and either YT, Twitch, Hulu, Netflix, on the other big window. I also have an iPad Mini as another screen and a laptop maybe for sports stuff.

I honestly can't go back to normal TV viewing. Stuff like iMessage makes it great for texting from there as well.

Seeing the setup threads here, it seems that command centers are growing in popularity, not just for big events like e3. I guess it's a sign of our age of distraction lol.

Do you a have personal "command center'? What does it entail?

1 27" monitor? Or more? Would be too small for me to split up the one for multiple monitors.

I gave my parents my TV. I don´t have a tv subscription and don´t really feel like sitting on the couch to watch stuff.
My setup, 1 27" monitor and one 23". So i can watch something in the background on the 23" and go about my way on the 27".
Also hooked up my PS4 and Switch on the 27". Basically all my entertainment is hooked up at my PC desk.
Want to upgrade my small monitor sometime later this year. Maybe i´ll give myself a gift this christmas.

Nope.

I just have a normal computer desk with a decent chair and a single monitor. No TV or anything, just a couch and a coffee table. I guess I move about fairly frequently, but nowhere I'd call a command center.

I have my PC hooked up to my 65" 4k TV, so it is a key part of the command center whether I'm on the web, or watching TV.

1440p 27" with a 23" 1080p on each side. Power sit/stand desk.

I am a software developer and work from home most of the week so a decked out computer setup isn't just for pleasure.

I have a tiny IKEA desk in a laundry closet. From my micro-office, I run an old i7 laptop, a 24" IPS calibrated monitor. mech keyboard, android tablet, and ps3.

It's small, it's mine, and it works.

I work from home, so kind of yeah. I have 3 monitors although just one is connected to my personal computer. The other two are connected to the work laptop. Add in the wireless laser printer and it's a small little command center thing.

My "command center" is mostly for productivity and browsing the web. It's a mac pro hooked up to an HP dreamcolor. I'm thinking of upgrading to 2x Dell P2415Q's.

I also have a laptop (13" MBP) for meetings and travel.

I usually play games and watch movies on my TV which is across the room.

Im in the process of building one. I have a old dinner table with a 39 inch 1080p tv and my ikea pello chair. Grabbing a real desk, hopefully a ps4 pro upgrade and maybe a second monitor.
One day it will be complete.

With a laptop to my left and a 48" wall mounted swivel TV above me. Charging within easy reach on my right is the Vita and 3dsxl.

Yeah.

On my desk I have a 34' ultrawide monitor to my front hooked up to my main PC, a 24' touchscreen on my left hooked up to my SP4, a 7 inch tablet with Twitter running 24/7, a stand for my phone, a stand for my iPad Pro, and three trackballs - one each for my PC, SP4, and laptop that I have hooked up to my TV.

I have a laptop, and an external monitor. Although, I wouldn't call it a "command centre". It's a personal work space. (Which I rarely do actual work at.)

25 inch monitor hooked up to me PC, 22 inch one hooked up to my PS4. Laptop and a tablet. That's pretty much it.

Also I will never understand multi-monitor setups. I know they are extremely useful in terms of working but I don't want to see giant black bar between the image.

You look straight ahead and the left and right are for your peripheral vision. It's like driving a car.

I went from one monitor to multiple monitors and then back to one monitor for working. Giving up that easy glance to the side or glance up was hard. Playing games you focus on the main monitor and the ones around it are just peripheral vision.

With two screens, I can VPN into my work computer on one, and when I Alt+Tab I will switch programs inside that computer and not my own. Can't do that with one screen that I've found.

I simply have all of my devices piled next to one another in my living room. Does that count?

2 monitors (one ultra wide), a tv, several consoles and my pc.

I miss my second monitor, I just can't fit one in right now with everything else I have on my table. And there isn't really anything I can get rid of either..

While it's possible most people don't spread the same content between monitors. So there are no "black bars", it's for example a fullscreen game on one monitor and something completely different (like a browser or a video) on another.

For freelancers we call this our home office :p.

So yes. I'm trying to upgrade it this year or next with an evo desk, a new chair and a monitor arm or two.

I guess my office would be my 'command center'. I work here too, though:

Mac and second mirrored monitor for optional standing desk setup

PC is mostly just for gaming

Nice setup.

What's the screen and stand that you have for the standing desk option? I'd like to convert my desk into a sitting + standing desk and this seems like a good option.

Thank you!

I have a 27" 1440p (late 2013 iMac) so I got a 27" 1440p IPS to match, it's an ASUS PB278Q, 60hz, not super expensive. It has full height/tilt/swivel which is also great for a standing desk setup. You need Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable to get 1440p from a Mac.

The keyboard and mouse stand is actually an 'as seen on TV' product called the Stand n' Type. I like it because it collapses flat and I can slide the whole shebang under the shelf the monitor sits on. The black box the monitor is standing on is actually just a black wooden box I had built and painted for something else, I just repurposed it. You could use about anything though

Damn, abload rotated my pic I think lol

You're not really "watching" that TV show or film if you spend it looking at a different screen focused on something else.

Yeah, two monitors, a PC, PS4 and PS3 right next to each other.

Also have a projector in the same room and watch movies etc. on a 140 inch screen.
