Right now just setting up a Steam Store page via Steam Direct. So the 'Adult Content' warning thing comes before you set your genre, and Steam counts the adult content stuff as a 'genre', so I scroll down to the genre section below and I see Steam defaulted it to this:

I just had a little chuckle over it, going to set it to the right genre but wanted to share that.

No, Infinite is an ok game, and Dishonored is a great game.

But I don't consider them something that you ABSOLUTELY must play before you die.

That said, Dishonored for $2.49 is a STEAL.
still doesn't beat my glitch sale dishonored goty steal at $3.19
even if glitch sales were bad for every party involved except customers with nothing better to do

What. I had no clue, and I'm seven hours in, haha.

Well, haha, there ya go.

Bet you didn't know that you can also use the
stun gun to power up computers that are down
? (Slight spoiler on a small "secret" mechanic similar to the glue thing).

Do y'all consider Dishonored and Bioshock Infinite to be unmissable, essential games?
not really. they're both good games but neither is "unmissable, essential".

dishonored has a lot of great ideas and a really good artstyle but the story and characters are absolute garbage

bio infinite is kind of the opposite, the whole package is kind of a mess but the story and characters carry it all the way

i like dishonored less than most and bio infinite more than most tho

This game is nuts! Thanks for the tips, I feel like these will help so much. I'm in the
crew quarters
part of the game and having a blast. Definitely one of the best of the year!

I would both are prime games and really should be experienced once in a while. Don't listen to those who say shit about Infinite, its the NeoGAF echo chamber at its best. They shout hate for one thing and it all piles up for no real good reason. It's truly a blast, get it if you can. Dishonored is a really fun and unique game. You won't be disappointed by either!

I'm fond of Dishonored, though it's a better action game than a stealth one, but didn't care much for Infinite, primarily because of the so-so gameplay. My advice would be to look into reviews and watch gameplay videos so you can make an informed decision.

Both games are great, Dishonored is one of my favorite games period, and if you get it definitely get the two story DLC's they're both great.

You can't go wrong with either of them. The only problem with Dead Cells is lack of content right now. You can beat it in few hours. On the other hand, there are enough variety of weapons and perks to play it more than 1 time.

Is there an expected time for the whole set of cards to drop with idlemaster these days ? Never used it and rules about card drops change every day or so.

Wow, opinions on Dishonored and Bioshock Infinite are all over the place. My primary interest here is the storytelling/characters...but seems like there's no consensus on that point either!

EDIT: Hmm, looks like most people like both, actually...

Loved Infinite. 9/10 game for me with great acting and story. I played Dishnored for an hour and just couldn't get into it. It feels like a Infinte knockoff with a really goofy and supernatural storyline. Maybe I'll again one day but it didn't grab me at all.

Ha ha, what? They are nothing alike.

Infinite won game of the year here, didn't it?

People just came to their senses.

There's nothing unmissable about Bioshock Infinite, but it's also a short, easy and cheap game, so there's not much effort behind buying and playing it either.

Except, you know, a story and setting you can't find anywhere else...

Also, 11 1/2 hours doesn't seem short just for the main games main story without doing all the extras to me. Then there is also the amazing DLC as well. Don't know how credible this site is though but it seems right from what I remember. https://howlongtobeat.com/game.php?id=1068

Dishonored is an incredible game in terms of mechanics, but with flawed storytelling. Atmosphere and mood are great - I'm talking purely in terms of dialogue, characters, etc.

Infinite is a mechanically average game with great atmosphere, art design and characters/plot. Great to watch, less so to play.

They're both good games and though I definitely preferred Dishonored, either one is worth a playthrough.

Decided I'd give up on attempting to save money this weekend and checked the sale out.

I think I'm gonna add Solus Project to this and call it good (until Winter Sale, maybe).

If I buy a Steam gift card on Amazon, do I get the code emailed to me? The language at the top of the page and the checkout process suggest it'll be shipped, but the product description says a code will be emailed.

Does anyone know how to connect either a xbox one controller or DS4 wirelessly to Steam Link without losing the pairing with their repective consoles.

Picked up Dead Cells and Dishonored.

For people who have Dead Cells, how many hours have you put into it? Wondering how long the game could keep me entertainted, since I dont usually buy EA games.

Dishonored is good. I just finished it in fact. But it's a much better action game than a stealth game. I ended up being a murder machine and I enjoyed it but I couldn't see myself playing a low chaos/ low kill game. It was a pain in the ass to play that way, especially if you got caught. You'd just end up in save reload hell.

I think that's a mistake. Both the product description and product information sections list the format as "Card" and neither the $50 nor $100 product pages mention e-mail delivery.

Edit: Yeah, it's an AmazonGlobal item and I'd be charged USD$5 for shipping.

I'm torn between Hollow Knight and Dead Cells - they seem to overlap each other enough that I don't think I'd play both simultaneously. DC seems more my type of game with the roguelike aspects, but its still in EA. Everyone seems to be enjoying it right now. And Hollow is done, looks super polished but maybe is a little dull gameplay wise in comparison to DC? I have Hollow in my shopping cart but I can't get myself to click the checkout button.

They don't overlap. Completely different types of experiences.

Get both.

The art/graphical style and gameplay. Very similar story telling as well. Obviously the stealth aspect is different but you have the looting and RPG elements and Vigor type system. They are very similar.

This such a forced comparison. Similar gameplay? Really? Infinite's gameplay has more in common with Doom than Dishonored, it's a linear run and gun shooter set in big empty arenas. Dishonored is an immersive sim- that means there's a heavy focus on exploration and discovery, encouraging the player to tackle problems in creative ways, dense open ended environments, etc. Infinite's storytelling is set-piece heavy and cinematic, Dishonored's is primarily environmental and low key. Dishonored has a watercolor influenced look with a drab color palette, Infinite is bright and Americana.

I have no idea why people make this comparison, the design values of each game are just fundamentally different.

Oh rock of ages, do not crumble, love is breathing still. Oh lady moon shine down, a little people magic if you will.
I want to love RE4

But I don't know if I can handle these controls
Played it for the first time a couple of months ago. You get used to them after an hour or so.
But then again, I enjoy tank controls so I might not be the most trustworthy judge on the subject.

It went on for a bit too long and the QTE's are absolutely rageworthy but it's still an incredible survival-action game.

Waiting 30 minutes plus for people playing story dungeons in low level ffxiv sucks. Everyone is playing the new content and I have to wait even longer to progress.

whats wrong with the steam version of FFVIII?
im reading you have to do a one time log in on squares site?
is it just the one time?

I don't know if it is still the case now, but all you had to do was linking your SE account with your Steam account, so yeah, it was a one time thing.
