Someone messaged me within minutes, is serious about buying it, very communicative and we arranged to meet later this evening. Only downside is he offered $230 but I'll take it considering how painless he's been to deal with.

Yeah that's exactly what I did, nice to get the AMIIBO for free but it's never nice getting damaged packaging I'm amazed the figure itself was seemingly fine minus a slight bend to the sword

Just buy your Oyster card there. I spent the extra money to have it shipped over because I thought I would use the Visitor Oyster discounts. They totally suck. Get the regular one.
I'm pretty sure you can buy cards in Gatwick but even if not you won't save any money buying the more expensive cards ahead and having them shipped to Canada.
EDIT: there are also discounts for things like the Tower of London and the London Eye tied to using the national railways, which do have regular stops inside London. Worth looking into, I saved a bundle on the Eye that way.
Well yeah, that's because there were no preorders for it here.
It's not really that hard to get the NES mini if you at least try. They went up a few times over the course of 5 months that they are available. The SNES mini is said to have "significantly" more than the NES mini so there's a higher chance of getting one, it's just that you have to try getting it, tut there's no need to be like SNES mini thread where they are stressing and actually waiting hours for it.

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but it looks like 'Valkyria Revolution' no longer has the 20% Prime Member discount. I'm starting to think that our 20% discount is only applying to pre-orders now, based on what I'm seeing in "Everything included in Prime"
This may just be the negative side of me, but I'm guessing the Canadian Amazon Prime has lost that discount for newly released games.

That's actually a great deal on the exchange rate, not that anyone was truly worried about the price for once. Just hope it doesn't mean Nintendo short-changes us on stock to sell more elsewhere.

It's either Crash or Dishonored 2. But then, Dishonored 2 during Black Friday will probably be $15-20... I'm awful at making decisions. I'll probably end up keeping Crash, haha.

Yeah I kept meaning to take them in while they were running that promo but never did. BestBuy's online estimator said $25 for MK8 and $20 for Splatoon, so I imagine EB will be around there too. Thanks!
$22 and $26 according to tivs.ca last updated in mid-March, which was around when they got rid of the double-trade in deal, so they probably haven't had much reason to lower them since then.

I just got the normal blue Oyster card, and got either the 3 or 5 day unlimited use loaded onto it (you can do this at the Terminal 1, 2, 3 station at Heathrow).

Doesn't the card automatically put you on the unlimited daily/weekly if you use it enough? Like once you spend the equivalent of an unlimited travel pass it just switches you? Was like that when I went 5 years ago

It was a really chill Asian guy. We went to his place so he could test it out and he insisted I play a few matches of Tekken 7 with him.
Talked about work, school, the sorry state Capcom's in, people who waste your time on kijiji and stuff. Definitely one of the best kijiji encounters I've had.
I cancelled Crash. I figured it'll drop to $30 or less again, given that Ratchet and Clank has dropped price multiple times.
Plus I remembered I'm locked in for Splatoon this July
