I agree. I'm not sure what the hype is for them.
They just sort of appeared out of nowhere in Infinity, with no back story or origin, and then were just as quickly gone until Thanos killed one of them like two years later.
I think the designs are cool, but they were never really introduced in any fashion, and have no characterization.
Now I'm sad we won't get to see competently written Black Bolt vs Thanos in live action.
He doesn't seem to give much of a shit, if his Twitter account is anything to judge by.

In the comics she was the least interesting of them. She's a mind controller, Ebony Maw is a mind controller as well but is also cool as fuck.

Yea but they renamed Black Dwarf to "Cold Obsidian". I guess they think Black Dwarf might be offensive despite being named after a type of star.

I won't back down from my theory that Avengers 4 is creating the multiverse. Shattering reality into pieces becomes the only way to defeat Thanos - probably imprisoning him in his own universe. It's why Spiderman Homecoming 2 takes place "minutes after" - he just got separated into his own universe with none of the other heroes in the aftermath.
Its funny to think there was a time where an Avengers film seemed like an impossible idea and now we're getting what is basically a huge event comic on screen with a million heroes and insane displays of cosmic power.
