Warframe |OT| Ninjas Play Free - PS4

Could someone explain grenade launchers to me please? 80+% of the time I take aim, hit a mob square in the chest and rather than explode the grenade just bounces off. It's making levelling my Tonkor a total ballache.

Why do they bounce off so often? I had slightly more luck aiming at their feet but even that doesn't seem consistent.

Most launchers are detonated with alt fire. Tonkor shouldn't be having problems detonating, unless you equipped the sticky grenade mod which changes how the grenades function.

Basically I hit them square in the hitbox and most of the time they bounce clean off. I've since installed the adhesive mod which at least means if it's going to bounce it instead sticks but I can't figure out why it's doing it.

Randoms are gonna random.

Yeah, kicked you a while back. If you're gonna hop in for a bit, doing it while rhino and mag are out would be a good idea.

Better get me that (re)(re)(re) reinvite then. I already have Mag and Rhino though. In fact
I believe you hooked me up with Mag ages ago

Just logged back in and first game was a PUG with a generous Trinity random, who allowed me to break out 700 + Atlas landslides for nearly 1500 kills in 25 wave of Kala-zar defense. Good times

Wow. Some people really don't want to finish missions do they? When I'm grinding levels I just run one exterminate mission over and over again with spotify on. Every now and again you get a group that rather than in-out repeat want to scour every last inch of the damn map.

I've found it's far, far more efficient if you're hunting for certain materials to just run the map as quickly as possible over and over again

Installing adhesive makes it so the grenades have to run out their fuse timer instead of exploding on contact. Are you running anything with -flight speed as a stat? Tonkor's interaction with flight speed is the only thing I can think of that might be affecting it exploding, because I can get it to detonate just fine.

Edit: Oh right they fucking nerfed the tonkor a while ago.

The grenade needs to travel 6m before arming itself, it will bounce off yourself, other players and AI before then.

Serration, cryo rounds, fast hands and magazine warp.

I've set one of the other grenade launchers crafting so I can at least detonate at will :)

The thing is with adhesive installed whenever a grenade hits it detonates instantly if it's a mob.

Let me try it with no mods installed and see what happens.

Ok. With no mods installed it's working perfectly. I'll see if I can figure out which one is the issue

See my post, I edited it. I forgot about the 6m mechanic because I tend to use the tonkor from far distances anyway.

Wait, like the Tonkor's supposed to? That's the opposite of what Adhesive is supposed to actually do. I'm so confused.

Message me when you wanna do some quick repeated runs. I'm Jaegergaf on PS4.

Makes sense now. No idea about adhesive. The mod just says it sticks to surfaces. No I know what the issue is I'd rather have it bounce :)

Thanks for the info.

This The New Strange quest mission. Jesus, took a little over an hour just to find and synthesize all 3 elite arid lancers. Had to close matchmaking just to do this damn quest mission.

Sent. Welcome.

Edit: Also sent a rererereinvite to Lox.

The GAF clan is turning into a GAF clan again. It's pretty cool to see. :)

Cheers. Now to work off recruit status (again)

Amazing what a good trailer can do for the game too. It seems to have garnered more interest then the Second Dream and TWW, which were probably the two biggest updates since I've been playing at least.

Also, from what I've seen and heard of the (nearly here) chains of harrow stuff, it looks pretty good too

Horses for courses. I hate joining a group where ppl are 5 rooms in front clearing rooms without a care in the world for their teammates.

Same on the PC side. The whole open world announcement really brought eyes to the game.
Yeah sometimes it's easier to just do thing solo. Like spy sorties, now those are just a clusterfuck with randoms.
Yeah, I'll probably never do a spy sortie in public again. I gave it a lot of chances to not be terrible, but even when I ask people to just not do the vaults if they don't know how, someone messes it up. Usually a Loki, oddly enough.

Generally really liking my time back but the mastery rank 9 (stealth) test might be the most irritating thing I've tried to do in a game all year. Specifically the third segment. Holy shit

Edit: I bitch and then I figure a method out. Ain't that always the way

It brought me back for sure. Just give me that Stalker helmet and I'll be satisfied completely:p

We're at 100, and the longest offline is something like 13 days. I have to think pretty hard about who to kick at this point.

I always watch a video of the mastery tests before I even practice them. In the case of that one I found one that made the test actually quite fun. :)

The one I absolutely hated was the hacking one. In the end I just crafted some cyphers.

I got bored this afternoon and thought I'd try a little Warframe-ps4 to tide me over before the Destiny Beta tomorrow (I chunked a ton of time into the PC version years ago now). Before I realised it 2 hours had gone by and I didn't find the game to be as annoying to play on console as I'd originally thought at launch, its surprisingly solid.

Of course I've missed many patches since I last played and have no idea what I'm doing anymore, and I don't have my beloved Valkyr on PS4 (nor much of anything else). Having said that I enjoyed my run, I'm in Germany and have most evenings free this week (and some days) so if anyone is about to help drag a new (old) player along the starter stuff and do some light farming that would be great. PSN name in the profile. I see the clan is full so I won't presume to ask to chuck someone out for me (especially as I suspect I may rinse the Destiny beta a little) but happy to join in if anyone is doing owt :)

I'm going to ask about trading for Warframe, because I really don't know the correct answer for this; Where's the best place to sell prime parts, either within or outside the game, because I've gotten a lot of prime parts for Warframes, some of whom are actually vaulted and I've already gotten the parts crafted for them. Anyone who has any ideas for this, I'm welcome to try it out.

We may run into some time differences, but I'd be happy to help. I'm in australia, but don't keep a very regular schedule atm and am on at all sorts of odd times though. I'll shoot you a PSN tommorow

Are they just blueprints or completed parts? If they're BPs, they can be sold in the trade channel in chat. Stick up a WTS for whatever you want to sell, and see if you get a bite. Or if you're lucky you may see a WTB for something you have for a quick easy sale. It's a bit of an archaic way to do it imho, but it's really the only way. You could also try setting up shop at Maroo's Bazaar, but I'm not sure thats as effective as trade chat.

-edit- this site is pretty good to get an idea on how much pieces are worth https://nexus-stats.com/

If you already have built the parts then, the best you can do is sell them from you're inventory for some credits

Can I trade helmets or just BP? I have every single arcane helmet and wondering if I can make some plat off them or better off keeping them (especially if I don't have a choice).

What are some things people would like to see in this? Maybe some kind of new weapon or warframe? Maybe a new kind of area? Any other items? Gameplay tweaks?

1. AI needs an overhaul, especially with the open world area coming in a few updates from now. Mobs have to have behaviors between unaware and full on alert. Its going to look real bad when the expected standards of AI behavior in open world games suddenly doesn't exist.

2. Shield gating, so frames that rely on shields dont get vaporized instantly as shields have NO damage mitigation except against damage types weak to them. You cant build frames like Vauban to be tanky or at least survivable.

3. Split melee attacks up to use two buttonsso they all dont rely on a single button to execute. If you make all your melee combos timing based, than any mod or ability that alters a players speed will change the timing, even in the MIDDLE of your combo.

4. Not needing actual inventory space to build weapons that require other weapons as a component.

5. Cut the build times on forma's by half. Why does the game give these out like candy but it takes 24 hours to build even ONE??

So I did the Octavia quest, and thought it was pretty good. One of the better frame quests so far.

What I didn't like was after completing the quest, getting the blueprint, and then having to wiki 3 random places to find the pieces. Outside of the derelict survival, I'm not really looking forward to it either

Seeing references to Destiny in here, does the clan or alliance do newbie raids?

Edit: The Destiny newbie raids that Gaf ran/runs is how I first got TTK and RoI raids done, then ended up with a group who regularly-ish raid together.

Finally got all my parts for equinox to be built. In a few days when I break her out I'd like some help leveling her in some defense missions. :)

Nothing organized per say, at least since I've been around. In fact in the off and on near 2 years I've been playing, I'm yet to do a raid.

There's also sorties, which I guess are the other 'endgame' thing to do. They can be pretty challenging

Double post but fuck it, this literally popped up in game just now.

https://forums.warframe.com/topic/819866-ps4-chains-of-harrow-remaster-build/

PLEASE NOTE!

Here is some important information about the Chains of Harrow Update.

The Chains of Harrow PS4 update is a remaster build. What makes this build so special, you ask? Well, we did a little summer cleaning and removed old game assets that are no longer in use to free up hard disc space (19 GB of disc space vs. 35 GB!). We also rearranged all existing assets into optimal locations to speed up load times.

What does this mean for you guys? To bring you all these awesome optimizations, the Chains of Harrow update will require Warframe to be re-downloaded. The good news is that half the size means half the download time, and for all of you new to Warframe on PS4 this means the download will be speedy! And for all you existing PS4 players, the update will simply download in the background.

Spent a disturbing amount of time playing today doing quests (story is actually pretty good so far lol)

On a whim I decided to farm the blueprints needed to make a Chroma. It seems I left the best for last and will probably scrap the whole plan. This judgement point mechanic is stupid, needing to farm points in arena and then spend them on the boss fight to get the lowest drop rate item?

I've learned that I should research this stuff in advance....

If you think the judgement points are stupid now it used to cost 100 per fight instead of 25.
I take back that being the worst part, I had only fought the boss once and beat her when I write this.

I've had about 5 more attempts and random groups cannot grasp the mechanics or seem to do damage

I want to farm that boss for mods but am in the same boat: farming judgement points for a drawn out boss fight for a low chance at what I need. I've seen videos of EV Trin ending damage phases almost immediately, maybe I should check that out.

Speaking of crap drop rate, the plus health archwing mod can suck it. I wish DE would allow us to redo junctions if they add in new rewards to the junction.
