The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild |OT3| Your Free Time is Badly Damaged

...it was there all along lol. Under the water just below the west side bridge of Zora's Domain. I was also surprised when I found it and doubly surprised when I activated the shrine. All without talking to Sidon or getting the Zora tunic.
Hm, could have sworn I pulled everything from the bottom of the lake before I found that. Must have missed the spot.

You didn't talk to the guy on the bridge. He tells you he dropped it and it's directly below him.

Played 8 fucking hours yesterday, brings total to 70 hours.
One Divine Beast down.

This game is one of the greatest games I've ever played, up there in the upper echelon of GOAT games with Super Mario 64, first Zelda, Persona 4G, etc.

I don't want it to end.

EDIT: THAT ZORA'S DOMAIN MUSIC <3 <3

I just got this game two days ago and that's pretty much my experience lol. Minus getting any beasts down. I'm still shrine hunting and just having a blast exploring. I thought there was no way this could rival Persona 5 for GOTY, but I'm so happy to be wrong.

I just started playing this on Switch yesterday after beating it on Wii U already, and holy crap I haven't experienced any FPS drops yet, not even in Kakariko Village. How did I live before this?

I've noticed it maybe a dozen times on switch in ~20 hours so far. Pretty infrequent but pretty jarring when it happens. At least they don't usually last long.

So we finished the quest with
the little Zora girl who sends a love letter down the river
and

WTF was that?? I was so skeeved out. Then they pulled the '10000 year old dragon' explanation as if that will make it better but it DOESN'T

My husband (who's super unfamiliar with all that is video games/anime/geek culture) didn't seem fazed as he thought the guy was also a kid but I DON'T THINK SO

ew

on another note I just have the Blood Moon Kass quest left and it is the worst

I was bothered by that also but assumed the guy was also a kid. TBH I was a little more weirded out by pretending to be a woman while snooping around woman-only areas. For whatever reason that made me feel slimy. I ran into a little girl in that one alley and all I could think was "here's a dude pretending to be a woman in a safe area for women, chatting up a little girl out of sight from everyone else." Nothing suspicious going on there.

I do still zelda

Well you do the do the glitch and then turn over a rotted guardian and then they start spewing ancient parts. That’s it.

I haven’t tried it on Wii U.

I tried it on switch in handheld mode and it worked and I picked up 999 screws and 999 bolts in about 15 minutes. I got 50k rupees selling the parts.

I tried it a second time in docked with Pro Controller and I couldn’t get it to pick up the parts very fast and then frame rate was much worse while mashing the A button. It worked but it didn’t because the frame rate was so borked that I was picking up the parts too slowly. Gotta try again in handheld mode I guess.

Doing this can crash the game to main menu sometimes too.

Btw you can only do it once for any given decayed guardian. After that you have to find another one to flip over.

You can also pick up koror seeds really fast doing this: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=5eOsGwqFFtM
900in two hours.

I started my Master Mode playthrough recently. When I reached the first stable I started using my amiibo to get Epona and then the Twilight Princess gear. I ended up with two Epona, is that normal?

I never thought of that section like that, because I assumed Link's intentions to be good and he doesn't act suggestive in Gerudo town the way he does with other female NPCs at times but I can see how that could rub people the wrong way.

I just don't get why they gotta make tiny pre-school looking baby Zora's actually kinda grown women who are older than adult looking Hylian men. ew

I mean I guess Link himself gets creeped on by men and women and creatures of many ages but he looks mostly grown at least.

Yep, one from Smash Link and one from TP Link.

I just did that one shrine in the Hebra region that's at the end of a flowing river under a huge dome. Having plenty of hearts, I figured I'd just swim for it. When I saw the logs next to the entrance I felt embarrassed I didn't think of that and amazed such a thing was solution at the same time.

Anyway, speaking of things like that. I give up! What's the trick with those Korok's that require you to throw a rock from a high place into the a ring of stones in the water? No matter what I try, my tried always end up short. I've tried Stasis, but I can't seem to get the right amount of force (seems either too little out too much).

Man even after doing all 4 Devine Beasts and filling in the map, I'm amazed there's still so much left to explore. Finding new areas I somehow missed is just exhilarating! Still need to find this Bolson fellow everyone's talking about. And it bugs me I haven't found Robbie's son out there.

I LOVE THIS GAME!

You could probably find a similar post from me back in the first OT on that Hebra shrine.

Use Stasis plus a spear on the rocks for the Korok puzzles. 3-4 hits usually gets it depending on the location. You can always move the rocks closer or further away if you need to. Lining the rock up is the important part - most of the puzzles seem to be designed to take exactly 3 or 4 hits.

I don't think I've ever really had to use stasis on those rock circles. Once maybe? Usually there is some point closer to the ring you can throw the rock from.

Haha, there's actually a special cutscene with voice acting if you never cross the bridge into Zora's Domain and talk to Sidon.

That's a neat touch.

Also this chapter is a billion times easier with an entire row of hearts than it was with 4 hearts like the first time I did it. Even if Waterblight heals.

I just started playing a bit today. Got a few hours in, 5 or 6 shrines, explored around a bit and got to Kakariko Village which is delightful and charming.

I've never gotten into Zelda games much besides Link to the Past way back when but I'm really loving this so far.

There is a hole in the ground southwest of Lanayru tower, east of boné pond. I managed to get a boulder in there but nothing happened. Anyone know what's up with that?

The korok mask doesn't shake nearby, but the hole screams "korok puzzle."

Sorry for the offscreen pic:

I usually use Cryonis to build a "platform" for the rocks so that the rock lands on the "platform" and then slides or bounces to the ring of stones.

I just got the sensor+ and have been spending hours picking up treasure chests. I've missed so much.

Also finally got a scale from Farosh. Those dragons creep me out, man. Makes me wish we got some big underwater enemies or creatures to combat. There are those giant fish bones and the leviathan bones all over the place... would be so unsettling to swim over dark water and notice eyes tracking you from the deep.

Spoilers for the final boss: This incarnation of Ganon is probably the coolest there's ever been!

Well, until it went to Dark Beast Ganon. Then it became fiddly and awkward and just the same as we've seen with things like Hyrule Warriors and Twilight Princess. If it had been like Shadow of the Colossus, where you had to use your stamina to climb him and attack from different angles, I think that would have been more fitting.

Only got 95 shrines though, so it's on with the rest of the game for us!

I agree, when I saw Calamity Ganon I was really suprised at how...scary and intimidating he looked. He seriously made me uneasy.

He reminded me of Hexxus from Ferngully:

(is that a spoiler?)

Then yeah, to finish on
Beast Ganon
was sadly predictable and been-there-done-that, which for a game that throws out literally 80% of Zelda conventions, was pretty disappointing.

I've spoilered it to be safe, but I wouldn't say so - Hexxus's tar and oil is very similar to Malice.

I think it's the fact it's a robotic Ganon, with a receding hairline that resembles Ganondorf, that makes it the best version. Plus it's a blend of Guardian legs and Ancient weapons, moves like a spider which is unnerving, and has a variety of moves and attacks that makes it really stand out.

So are there any conditions to make the dragons spawn?

I'm in Master Mode, so far I have most of the shrines done and I've already beaten Ganon. However I didn't free any of the Divine Beasts or even talked to Impa yet. The only dragon I need to get is the lightning dragon and it will not spawn at all. I've prayed to the statue 3 times and it still won't show up.

You need to have talked to Impa before the dragons will show up. No idea why, they should appear as soon as you've got the paraglider IMO.

I have all the shrines, sidequests (minus Trial of the Sword) and memories. I still need to get the Korok Seeds, Hilton medals and upgrade some armors. Is there anything left I could search/collect to wrap the game? (I want to leave the Master Mode playthrough for later). Thanks!

if there is no ground close enough, make it yourself. :)

have you done this already long ago maybe? :)

Did you finish the compendium?

Is that the name for the picture album? I have some weapons pending but I think they're lynel's weapons that I can't obtain now (because there're only silver lynels on my current playthrough and these weapons were from the basic lynels or blue lynels).

I think I can buy the pending pictures though, right?

Maybe? Do you remember what it is?

Not from that sketchy ass screenshot there :D

Just know that an identical hole near the Dueling Peaks is indeed a Korok puzzle.

edit: well, just realized, if you had done it already it would show the seed on your map. you've rolled the big boulder in there, right? not just thrown a tiny rock in it?

Yeah there is no seed. I got the boulder from the picture in there.

Safe area for women? More like danggerous town for men. This is a town of women that dislike men. They even have a teacher that is focused on teaching them to deal with men, as she says (on the spanish translation at least) the gerudo may be a strong race but she doesnt want them to go extinct.

I guess there's just nothing there for some reason. Just did it myself.

Thanks for checking. Weird that it does nothing. I was thinking maybe it was meant to look like something from above, but I don't recognize what it could be.

it really is identical to one that did have a Korok Seed in it. Plus that random ass boulder on the platform there... I don't get it.
