Bright | Official Trailer (Netflix, Will Smith, Dec 22)

Now what's the next step in your master plan?
Somewhere Nolan is screaming.

OT: Looks far better than I was expecting. I am curious how tactful the whole minorities as monsters will be handled. It could easily fall on its face.

Finally. Been waiting for any kind of media from this. I'll be sure to check it out if the reviews are good.

"Looks good enough to watch on Netflix!"

said 90% of the people who have Netflix. Brilliant move by them to bring it to their service. This would've definitely bombed in theaters, but it'll do well on Netflix which does wonders for their reputation.

Supersonic, idiotic, disconnecting, not respecting, who would really ever wanna go and top that
Meh. Production values are there. But otherwise looks like the type of movie a studio would dump in September or January.

I did like the line in the stinger though.

I feel like this could've had a decent theatrical run. Probably not in a crowded December - but if this was a February/March release? Easy 40M opening. Smith still caries some weight, and Ayer is hot off the highest grossing movie of his career. Even as an R-rated genre flick, this would do decent business.

Huh, looks alright. I like the magic wand as plot device, putting something that's OP in fairy tales into a real world seeing and following that to its conclusion. Will be checking this out for sure.

From the director who brought you "Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice" and "Sucker Punch", comes a heartbreaking tale of brotherly love set during the Great Depression.

Maybe because it's a hugely popular movie?

That's true, but the purpose of putting "from the director of" in a trailer is not simply to raise the profile of the movie, but to advertise the caliber or type of film that's being previewed.

End of Watch and Fury were really good so I still have some faith in Ayer. This trailer didn't do too much for me but I like concept a lot. Looking forward to watching it.

True, but they also included the other movies that were received well like Fury and End of Watch. So the people that hated SS can see that he is capable of doing a good movie, and the people that love SS will want to watch as well.

Why the hell would they put 'from the director of Suicide Squad' in the trailer

ayer has a stunning ability to make all his films look ugly.

I greatly dislike Ayer but I will watch anything with Noomi Rapace as an elf.

Ayer's last two movies have been stinkers so I hope this is good.

You guys do know Max Landis wrote this shit, right?

So it's not just a David Ayer movie. It's a Max Landis-written David Ayer movie.
