Nice giveaway, Zia. (I didn't realize my aunt was a gamer!)

Ah, Back to the Future. A fine Telltale game, and one that was actually an adventure (as opposed to a choice simulator.)

Fck this section and god bless whoever designed it. 100k+ souls have been lost in the damned place.

I bought FFXII because it was cheap (30€), with the purpose of beating it and trading it back recovering pretty much the full cost of the game if not more from GS...but I'm actually enjoying the game.
I don't know why back in days I hates this so much, finding it boring and uninspired, but now I'm having a great time with it.
Expecially if you compare it to stuff like FFXV or World of FF.
The 4x speed really helps to cut some angles in and there, making some sections really quick to beat expecially when you can one-shot enemies.
Maybe it was just jrpgs fatigue the one I showed almost 15 years ago, considering jrpgs were pretty much the only games I used to play on PS2.

bought the capcom humbe bundle for 1 $ and enjoying the heck out of strider and devil may cry. beat strider already and devil may cry is the exact game i need at the moment. quick, brutal and easy to play.

Sections like this is the exact reason why always have a bow on my second shield hand slot.

Yup, no shame in cheesing these kinds of sections. If I remember correctly there's a corridor at one end of the room where you can safely stand and kill these guys with arrows without pulling aggro.

Can someone explain to me why there are suddenly games with thousands of achievements appearing on Steam? At first I thought it was to manipulate Valve's system of determining which games can be allowed card drops but now I'm thinking that might not be it.

Finished Dark Souls 2 second time with the Scholar of the First Sin edition and it didn't change my mind about the base game being the weakest Souls game.

Though I gotta give credit where credit is due, all the DLC areas are great.

Interplay strikes again

Oh shit. I loved this game as a kid although I only had access to the demo, with a skirmish against natives and a bit of campaign.

It was no Colonization, but it was quite cool. And the combat felt different to anything I had seen back then.

EDIT: Uoah, I didn't know it was developed by the Castles guys.

I'm surprised people don't speak more about this game by the devs of Cortex Command (which I got in a Humble Bundle and have never played). It is called Planetoid Pioneers:

It used to cost 20€ and there is now a game-edition for 10€. This made me have a closer look at the store description and it turns out that, for 20€, one can get a game engine called Crush 2D, which is not a game per-se.

So, one can pay to have access to the tools to build a game which will be sold by the devs. Contributor get their name to appear in the credits, plus maybe some money (from micro-transactions?).

They are forced to phrase it in such way to avoid saying "with payed for mods", since that would likely cause them to get death threats, and probably risk a lynching or two. (especially if they have female developers).
So I'm up to that giant tank in the desert mission in Valkyria Chronicles

This mission is infuriating
Hang in there. The game should give you some hints what you want to do, and figuring out how to beat him (plus the reinforcements from up north) was really satisfying.

That's where I stopped, too. People said that there I should use a guide for this mission and I kinda want to go back but ain't nobody got time for that.

I tried the mission twice and have no idea how well I did, or if I was even doing the right thing

I managed to destroy one of the radiators but my tank got blown up so I failed the mission, and I didn't manage the slow the tank down at all

It's hard to plan a strategy when the game keeps changing the rules every other turn

I'll try the mission one more time but if I'm just as lost I'll consult a guide. I'm enjoying the game a lot, but it does seem to throw a lot of bullshit at you, and losing a mission because of that after 45mins and having to go back to the starts sucks

I'm addicted to Salmon Run at the moment and am hungry for Horde Modes.

What are the best games on Steam that have or simply are horde modes?

I got two of the three weakpoints done but then the blue haired boob lady appears and fucks my shit up.

And I don't know if you know it but you can save mid mission.

Yeah I know you can, but I've not actually found that much use

Half the time you don't even know how well you're doing, so it might still be unwinnable even if you think you're doing well

Like with the forest mission where it tells you all you need to do is capture the base, then the soon as you get there a fucking boss tank shows up out of nowhere

Here I am with one scout ready to run to the flag and now I have a boss to deal with

Luckily I managed to distract the tank and run up to the flag, which I'm pretty sure is the game breaking its own rules as you need to kill all enemies in a base before capturing it

That's the second time in that one mission where the game breaks its own rules as the boss tank teleporting into the base is also something you generally can't do in the game

I was surprised by how good Strider is. I finished it a few months ago and I plan to go back to get all the achievements.

I currently have lots of free time but even then the amount of games I have ready to play is overwhelming. Darkest Dungeon runs here and there, same for Dead Cells, PUBG and Hearthstone matches, Nier on my PC, Bloodborne on my PS4 and small games on my MacBook. It's hard, man, it's hard.

I've tried various Zelda games time and time again, but they've never clicked.

I'd say try it. I liked various handheld Zeldas and ALTTP (despite playing the PAL version) and while I don't think they are bad games, 3D Zeldas never clicked with me. Was glued to Breath of the Wild for 2 weeks.
