What if Cersei doesn't kill Ellaria?

What if she offers to spare Tyene's life in exchange for loyalty and manages to turn Dorne against Dany?

Everyone is expecting Cersei to just poison Tyene right in front of her mom to watch her die, but what Cersei does a complete 180 and not only spares her life, but offers The Mountain's life in exchange for Dorne's loyalty.

This show almost never does what you expect it to do. It would not shock me if she spares their lives in exchange for their army.

I can't imagine she would take Cersei up on that deal. Everything she is doing is to take revenge for Oberyn's death, I don't see her undoing all of that to stay alive. She feels like the type so die before selling her soul.

Ellaria killed her daughter.

Bish loves my games!
I look forward to when Varys and Jon Snow meet.

Varys is the only person who knows that Littlefinger betrayed Ned Stark and contributed to his death. If I remember correctly, Varys was the last person who spoke to Ned Stark before he was beheaded.

And as we saw in this episode there is NO love lost between Jon and Littlefinger.

That's bullshit. Cersei's one of the most layered characters on the show. She's a bad person, but there's been seasons of development explaining her background and her further descent. This video sums it up well.

And Cersei isn't fun? She's the most consistently entertaining character on the show, and the only main character to never have an "off" season. Thanks to Lena Heady and the way she's written, Cersei consistently steals scenes. When she blew up the Sept, most viewers couldn't help but grin along with her even knowing what just happened.

No. Cersei isn't fun. I can't remember what season it was, but Tywin pegged her in that season when he said that she wasn't as clever as she thinks she is. At this point, she's the Mad Queen, willing to do anything and everything to gain and hold on to her power.

Second, no, I don't think she's layered. Her entire character has been a pompous, spoiled, privileged shit, willing to go to war and throw seven kingdoms into chaos just because she wanted to fuck her brother. I don't much care for Jamie either, but HE'S the one who has some nuance. He's not into cruelty for the sake of it, tries to save lives when he can, bore the title of Kingslayer because he saved all of King's Landing, saved Tyrion and treated him like an actual person, ect. As I said before, I feel like there's going to be a moment where she's gonna betray Jamie too, because in the end, she only cares for herself. She even proved that last season. She claims to love her children, but it was more important for her to consolidate her power and have her rivals defeated than it was for her to just back off and let Tommen be happy. She's directly responsible for his suicide. She's the worst.

THAT BEING SAID:

The fact that I despise her so much shows how well Lena Heady is doing with her. She's one of the best bad guys; one you don't (or at least I don't) sympathize with and want to see her fall. I wanted Arya to kill her, but now she's going back to Winterfell. Hopefully something horrid doesn't happen to her on the way.

Also, I heard the word "books" in that video and immediately closed it. :p

everyone in the king's court knows that. Littlefinger held a knife to Ned's throat in the middle of the throne room

even Catelyn who was busy in the Vale called him out for it

Pretty clear to me Ellaria is Euron's gift to Cersei.

Cersei doesn't give a damn about Yara, so she'll be a toy for Euron to play with in whatever fucked up way he can think of.

I don't necessarily think Danaerys is the best choice for the Iron Throne, but she'd be worlds better than Baelish who is by far one of the most dangerous players left in the game. Danaerys is willing to take the throne without destroying the entire continent, whereas Baelish would be happy to sit atop a mountain of blood and ash.

Me not liking Dany doesn't have anything to do with her Queen ability. She would probably be one of the better options of everyone in the show.

I just don't really like her character or her scenes. She has some really cool ones, but idk it all just feels too easy for her post Season 1 (where she was in a really bad place but overcame it which is when I liked her)

Since then its basically I'm the mother of the dragons, yada yada yada, bend the knee, I'm Queen, I got Dragons, I basically just win at everything because that's how I'm written.

Most of the other main characters have a lot more depth to what is going on with them which is why I find them more compelling characters. I like Cersei in all her fucked upness vastly more than Dany

Is this true? I can barely remember LIttlefinger killing Joeffrey, never mind plotting against Ned.

And where's the Blackfish, he's not dead, is he?

Cool preview scene with Jon arriving.

Is that right? Oh man. Hadn't even thought about it yet.

Yup.

Euron is the type of dude that get caught cheating live on twitch and don't care. I don't like how he got such an armada to threaten the one the iron islands had for years. Did they send a skeleton crew to escort the people back to the south?

Not happy with that event. What are you going to do though, sigh. Peter Dinklage you haven't been paying attention.jpg.

Was the intention of that Sand Snakes scene to make us glad they were about to die? Cause I was rolling my eyes so hard. "Momma! Momma!" Good grief lol.

Shoutout to the editors for that great/gross cut between the greyscale and the food.

Yes, he told ned he has the gold cloaks when he didnt, so when Ned went into the throne room he was betrayed.

Blackfish is dead, died last season.

It was Olenna and Littlefinger that killed Joffrey. Remember how he was killed using that necklace? And how Sansa got away on a boat, climbed it, and Littlefinger was up there?

My internet died at the scene with Arya and the wolves, just as something came up behind her. Internet resumed right at the last shot and her speaking to someone... what happened???

While I fully expected Euron was gonna kill the Sandsnakes after last episode, I'm still sad they're gone because they were cool & hot. 😔😔😔

they weren't cool, they conspired to kill an innocent kid and they killed their innocent cousin.

Cersei hasn't been reasonable for awhile now and has continuously made bad decision based on her thirst for revenge. The Dornes are dead, thats gonna be the "surprise" death of the episode. Yara may escape though.

Strong episode for the True Queen's war effort.

-obtained anti air weaponry
-brought the best living battle commander in Westeros over to her side with an untold number of Reach forces.
-got the head cut off the Dornish army as courtship gift
-faceless assassin aborted mission to kill her, at least for now
-blood thirsty Olenna sowed dissent in the Usurper Queen's ranks.

Things are looking up. The odds are still very much against her but I can at least see a path to victory as long as Dany keeps the Dothraki on the sidelines. Now I just have to hope Jon keeps out of the fray...I don't like routing against Cersei.

Tywin was just speaking sexist nonsense.

I have a bad feeling one of Dany's dragons will get murdered by Cersei's super crossbow machine or whatever it's called.

Wouldn't be surprised if all her dragons die by the end of the season and Cersei wins, then gets killed by Jamie or someone random during the battle of the white walkers.

I've already assumed who I'm rooting for or who I want to see live won't happen. I've had 6 seasons to adjust.

Yeah, I like them someone what, not enough cause they weren't on the screen a lot, but they totally killed a level minded ruler who didn't want to start a costly war over revenge. Especially since that duel was legit.

Personally, I like the Night King's odds myself.

At this point the only thing I'm watching the show for is The Night King, I hope he wins. Every other character is crap at this point.

Also RIP Hot Pie, he ain't living long after saying the things he did

Don't remember Olenna being a part of it, other than that sure. But Blackfish ate it off screen eh? Him and Arya's needle instructor from season 1 gonna mount a comeback.

Ironically, Olenna's family would likely still be alive if she didn't kill Joffrey.

I'll bite; what makes her so interesting?

What's so special about her that isn't special about anyone else in this series that has experienced tragedy? I'm open to having my mind changed!

Yup. I honestly don't see any way for Westeros to come together and deal with the real threat at this point.
