What's the tallest building you've been in?

Stratosphere in Vegas followed by Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw.

The two buildings couldn't be more different: Vegas kitsch vs. stalinist grandeur.

Observation deck of the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Was pretty high.

Also jumped off the Stratosphere in Vegas, which was fun.

Eiffel tower.

At night luckily, have problems with height and it was scary enough without actually being able to see how far down it was.

Taipei 101. Had a 10-hour layover in the city so hopped there from the airport. Unfortunately it was too cloudy to get a proper view... but the interior was nice :p

I still remember taking that lift up. You could feel your brain sinking into your feet.

Edit: oh shit, One World Trade Center is taller? Then I guess that's the tallest building I've visited.

I just realized the tallest building I've ever been in were the NY Twin Towers back in 1999.

104 floors including the roof IIRC. I'll never forget it.

Been up in CN Tower, Top of the Rock, One World Trade, Prudential in Boston... and that's it of tall buildings?

Tallest of those is CN Tower i guess but you dont go that high up if you skip the skypod? One World Trade maybe has higher up observation center? edit: Seems One World Trade has a higher up observation deck than the main pod at CN Tower.

Coolest view, probably top of the rock at night. Also Prudential gives you a great view of Boston.

The walking outside CN tower is a big nope for me though!

Some 10 story office building probably.

Edit: Now that I think of it, the hotel I stayed at in Clearwater the one time I left the Midwest was like 12-13 floors. So probably that.

Shanghai Tower earlier this year. The observation deck is so fucking high.

Shanghai tower for me too. This is the highest observation deck in the world at 561m, and the highest useable floor is above the Burj Kalifa too.

My wife spent the entire time up there hugging the inside wall whimpering 'I can feel it moving'. I guess some people really hate heights!

Been to NYC twice and not been to Empire State, was recommended to go Top of the rock and One World trade instead. Cus the lines are shorter and offers better views. Not sure of the better views but seems the guard rails at Empire State obstructs the views.

There aren't guard rails at top of the rock instead some glass and you get a great view of Empire State and Central Park.

Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur. I went to Dubai post-Burj Khalifa but I can't remember if I went there or not (so probably not).

Edit: I forgot Makkah's hideous clock tower (I guess officially Abraj Al Bait). I don't think there are entry to the clock tower itself though.

I guess the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building might be the highest I've actually been in a building. I've been to the Skytree but didn't actually go up, and I've been to the mid section of Tokyo Tower. I also worked at Tokyo WTC on 25th floor. It had a pretty awesome view. Also got to experience an earthquake there too.

The Shanghai World financial centre.
(Though I didn't go to the top most floor, I was two floors lower in the restaurant/bar)

The Walkey-Talkie building in London.

Not sure what it's actual name is lol

I forget to, but it's free to go up and the cocktail bar is not ridiculously overpriced.

Holy shit that's an old photo haha.

Same answer for me though. I'll head up to the new Shanghai Tower someday soon when i feel up for it.

Not sure, but probably Friday's Station at the top of Harrah's in Tahoe. I don't think I've been to the top of a skyscraper before.

There are only two skyscrapers in Cork (though there are plans for a forty-story one to start building soon) - Cork County Hall at 67m/220ft and the Elysian at 68.28m/224ft. I haven't had any reason to go to either of them. The tallest building I've been in, I think, is the lovely Basilica of St. Stephen in Budapest at 96m/314ft. I was up in the towers at nearly that height, and the ground was a long way down.

Shown in order below: Cork County Hall, the Elysian, Basilica of St. Stephen.
