... it was still going?
Didn't this show get really bad? Haven't watched it in over a decade.
wait whatSpongebob is one show that'll stick around even though it shouldn't. It gotten real mean spirited later on and patrick became a damn sociopath instead of a good natured idiot.

Took the number from Wikipedia. How in the hell are there only 161 episodes?
They made 3 of those fucking movies.
The 3rd one ends with Timmy dying and becoming a shitty CGI fairy.

The show was always bad. Face-meltingly obnoxious.

That's so they can be revived in a decade or two, like Hey Arnold! and Rocko's Modern Life now.I see Nick's old policy of not letting show's acknowledge their end so kids will keep watching expecting new episodes still hasn't completely died.

It is insane whenever I look back and remember Danny Phantom was only on the air for two years. Felt like such a big part of my childhood for some reason.
Not "really good", just better than anything post-first movie by a wide margin. Its starting to circle around to how it was the first three seasons.I heard that the newer season are really good.
For those wondering Timmy had to share the fairies with a new girl introduced 2-3 years ago. After that, I heard it was kinda rehashing plots.
I'm surprised they aren't just introducing another character into the mix to try and elongate it's life more.
They did, last year.
You really don't know, do you? Time for a lesson in the character change of Patrick Star.
In the beginning seasons of Spongebob, Patrick was a lovable yet bumbling and kinda dumb starfish. Later seasons slowly evolved him from his old nature into a sociopathic asshole that puts spongebob and others in danger and doesn't give a shit about his actions. And the best part? He doesn't get his comeuppance for any of it. Any. Of. It.

Between this and their TV special revivals of Zim/Arnold/Rocko, maybe this network actually is on its way to full recovery after all.
Patrick is an absolute cunt right now
Stephen Hillenburg only recently came back to work on Spongebob. They've been doing it without him for years and I'm sure they'll do it even when he's gone.
The fact that it's only ending NOW should elicit something more like this:
